Seriously? Thats pretty bad news, i hope from the feedback they are getting from Unity and this site they at least know its one thing we really want added. Thing is, Ono-sans comments with Gamespot almost completely contradict that whole comment so im hoping that its a case of PR keeping the whole thing hush and not a case of no new content coming.

Frankly they'd have been better off not bothering at all. I don't know whether the guy's telling the truth but I assume he knows what he's saying. Bottom line if a game comes out that can't - for whatever rason - offer basic and necessary functionality, don't release it at all.
The online for this game is a joke. Whether it's tech reasons or not there's just not enough for the game to be enjoyable.

Personally, I'm not fussed about spectator mode (though I do think it should be included for those who are).
I don't think there's much to read into the DLC characters thing. "Currently no plans" in interviews amounts pretty much to a "no comment" or, "I'm not allowed to discuss this", usually to avoid people complaining about DLC that's already worked out and decided.

personally i would like faster search times as they seem very slow even by street fighter 4 standards. Less of this searching for 2 minutes only to come back with could no connect (this happens a lot) and the opportunity to choose from a lost of opponents with connection displayed.
I personally think spectator mode and replay functionality should be a defacto standard, if it means capcom have to spend money to upgrade the serves they use then so be it, they have a reputation to uphold and i expect a certain level of quality from their products and in the case of the online mode i feel mahvel 3 is lacking. I would however like to point out i do not agree with the exstremeists who are saying the game is completely unfinished, like most exstremeists they are imho talking a load of nonsense, overall the game is very good it just needs a couple of issues sorted.

im not really suprised, if spectator replay mode was going to be in it would of been in it from the start, like i say i believe spectator and replay modes should be a defacto standard and whatever nees to be done with the servers to support them lag free needs to be done but there not in this game and thats that.
Arcade edition is supposedly getting improved replay functionality so thats great but if capcom are listening (thats a big if nowadays, i get the feeling the feedback given here goes in one ear out the other nowadays but hey ho) i really want to see both arcade and spectator mode in 3rd strike, wont be happy if its missing one bit.
