The point behind RE5 is going into the past...hence it being set in Africa.

So the idea is, the way I see it and many others see it, is that that particular scene is taken from the point in the game where you find the origins of the Progenitor Virus.

It is leftover from when Umbrella were searching/excavating that particular area.

The death of Jill has been top RE5 news for the past 2-3 months.

Gametrailers had this trailer up months back, but it was on cam-corder. Hence why this version is known as the direct feed version.
