New Resident Evil 'Old school' style on the wii?

Ever since Resi5 was announced several people have been asking for it to be ported to the wii. While others have said it wouldnt be worth it or couldnt work. Well Id have liked Resi5 to have ported to the wii, but I understand the reasons for it not to happen, (by the time the game would have been cut enough to fit on the wii it would no longer be the same game).

So to keep up the wii Resis and make some fans happy, why not create a new resident evil game in the old school style for the wii? They could use the opportunity to fill in plot holes and flesh out more details.

For example they could make the game that ResiZero should have been; allowing the player to play as the other members of Bravo Team. Or show what happened to the other survivors; Barry, Rebecca, Billy.

Agree completely, but I must say that Resi Zero did fill in a few plot holes, Rebecca-wise. It also told us a bit about Spencer.
The other Bravo members would be a welcome side-story, I think.

The original idea behind Zero was to be play as each Bravo team member until their death, but it was later changed to what we have now. So technically what we have now is the side story and what could be made would be the proper game.

Id like to see some new games made specifically for the Wii...but lets face it, theyre all going to be like Umbrella Chronicles...

i would love a game on Resident Evil Degeneration exclusivly for the wii, would that make it a remake of 2 in some sence?

Zero showed what happened to Rebecca before the mansion. We never really know what happened to her during RE2-RE4.

We know for a fact that apart from Brad and Jill no other STARS members were in Raccoon City in RE2 and RE3, so where was Rebecca and Chris during this time?

We also know that Barry flew a helicopter in to save Jill and Carlos at the end of RE3.

So the facts so far open up another scenario for a new game.
According to Jills diary the others were heading to europe to stop Umbrella, so why not have a game based on their attempts to get evidence from another lab, also make it with two scenarios You can play as Chris with help from Rebecca or as Barry who gets no help but has access to better weaponry aka his Colt Python.

I see little to no point inDegeneration have its own game...the film will cover enough of the storyline to make it uninteresting to play. And it wouldnt really be a remake of RE2, as it only includes the characters. Itd probably be seen more as an homage.

Theyre incredibly bad...but as films they can be kept seperate from the games. If games were to be made, people would try their hardest to get them seen as canon...they arent Anderson created an Alternate Universe with the films...and that Universe was poor. I only really liked Extinction, and that was because it was so far removed from the games that it became entertaining to watch.

As much as I would have liked Zero to remain as it was originally intended, we have what we have. More and more games to explain the backstory of certain events will just create an even more convoluted storyline.

If it were ever to be explained what Chris, Jill, Rebecca, barry and Carlos got up to in Europe, Id hope it would be via a movie, a file, or something like Weskers Report.

A game based around those events would automatically mean that they happened to take part in yet ANOTHER viral outbreak...which would just be too coincidental. RE5 is forgiveable because Chris is being purposefully sent in to a dangerous situation where a bio-terrorism event is taking place.

The event you are suggesting though would be yet another Umbrella viral leak...which would just become to unbelievable...the incompetence of Umbrella is already well known, but this would just be stupidity at its finest.

However, Takeuchi has promised to explain what Chris has been up to during his 10 year absence...and Im hoping that takes part mostly in cutscenes. The past is the past for this series, and should really only ever be covered in cutscenes, files and reports...as much as it hurts to say that.

As if the movies isnt bad enough! Also, basing games on movies that are already based on games~ Anyone played Street Fighter The Movie game? Its not a good idea.
