What is it?
The Gathering Hall is an
air-conditioned place in central London where people can drop in, sit down and play Monster Hunter. On their own PSPs, of course. There'll be power points and chargers for the longer sessions and refreshments served. And, well, that's it. And by 'that's it' I mean OMG SOMEWHERE TO PLAY MONSTER HUNTER WITH OTHER PEOPLE!

Special event!
On August 16th (that's a Sunday) Ryozo-san will be visiting the Gathering Hall to meet the community and sign stuff and generally be accosted by the masses. Ryozo-san is the Producer of Monster Hunter. So make sure when you come you bring everything you own to be signed
You'll also be able to ask him questions about the game, potentially any future games (though answers may be limited) and hopefully he'll be able to play a game or two with us. Mark the date in your diaries!
One thing - Ryozo-san doesn't speak English, so anything you ask will have to go through our resident bi-linguist translator, Tubemole.
Grand closing PARTY-
Sunday 30th August
Twitter feed -
GatheringHall. Actually, it's being a bit funny from time to time, but please do sign up for news on spontaneous giveaways, secret events and general illiterate profanity.
THURSDAY NIGHT IS TUTORIAL NIGHT! -
Since Thursdays are open till late, we'll be running tutorial nights each week with Capcom staff members. These will be to teach things from as simple as how to rank up choose which weapon to how to get the most damage from a Lance. All are welcome! Though if you're HR9 then we may try to make you help us help the noobs

That will not be without its rewards.
Thursdays are also the days you are guaranteed to find Capcom staff at the Hall. And by Capcom staff we mean Leo.
The exclusive downloadable quests -
I'm sure there's lots of questions about these, so I'll clear up a few things (but not all things, because surprises and secrets are fun). Firstly, the quests you download here will be available for general download, but not until the Gathering Hall has closed. Which is more than two months after the game is released. Secondly, if you miss one of the days on which we release a new quest you'll have the opportunity to get that quest at subsequent events. And thirdly, we'll probably have at least one a week.
What it looks like -
AMAZING.
Custom Firmware -
If you show us a Monster Hunter Freedom Unite UMD you're welcome in our hall, no questions asked. If you don't have a UMD then we'll check your PSP. If we find you have custom firmware then you will be denied access. This is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT when deciding which version of Monster Hunter you're going to buy. Downloading from the PSN store is only advisable if you do NOT have custom firmware. We do not tolerate piracy and will not have any compassion for someone who steals from us, no matter how much you may claim you love the game. If you really loved the game you would have paid for it. If you are not a pirate and do happen to have custom firmware, you can still install the game from the UMD you purchase. Do not expect to be able to talk your way through the door. Admission to the Gathering Hall is strictly on our terms.
More information to follow, but please feel free to ask questions now.
