Why would anyone create a fabrication period? It acts as a scoop and increases traffic and attention for the people to "reveal" it. I am not saying this is definitely fabricated, there is every chance it is genuine. But the industry has been known for its comical fan-based scoops that have been eaten up by gaming sites, so this could be yet another example of that.
I followed both Ico and Shadow Of The Colossus since I got wind of them and found Nico instantly recognizable. But this just feels somewhat off. I do not work for Team Ico nor Sony, it is merely an opinion that myself and few others share. But why guard a secret for so long only to let it slip at the last minute to some unknown? Seems peculiar.
This is what looks CG rendered to myself. The Griffin in particular seems very out of place.
Now, everyone else here seems to think it is genuine. I merely feel it is not akin to Team Ico's previous work and thus: question it. However, it is naught more than an opinion.

Would that not reflect within the entirety of the trailer though, rather than specific parts of it? Which just makes much of it look out of place.

It is not really that different from it. The look of the game remains almost identical and the only update was graphically aside from minor alterations to the amount of characters involved.

Of course it shall. But they are not really using the hardware to their advantage here, which is why I find it so surprising. All of the modeling, lighting and environments are very inconsistent throughout the trailer. Now if this was never meant to see the light of day(which is undoubtedly the case if it is genuine) then that I can understand. But why has it made it out if that is the case?
How it has managed to enter the public domain at all when nothing has up until this point has and why Sony has not dealt with it, leads me to question its authenticity. I suppose we shall simply have to await E3 to know for certain - yet I shall remain skeptical.

Nico was used in terms of Japanese numbering system (Ichi, ni, san etc). Would've expected it to be called "Sanco" but eh, it's a three either way.
