Default New DmC trailer from E3!!!

http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3...c-devil/730973

The game looks f'ing epic. The music's incredibly cool and I really like how Mundus looks in this interpretation.

The backgrounds and environments look really awesome and I really love how the nightclub transforms into a twisted and more messed up, darker version of itself. The light bridge is also very cool looking.

It's also nice to see that the combat is looking a lot more fluid now, with greater speed and enemies that actually attack back.....with chainsaws.

I think it's clear that Ninja Theory have used Devil May Cry 1 as an inspiration and I like the fact the signature moves have been carried over from DMC1, 3 and 4.

Dante's new personality is a lot darker now, but at least humour is still very much a part of him.

As for my worries about not being able to relate to him anymore, I guess with the inclusion of figures similar to anonymous, the storyline is more relevant to the gamers and fans of our current era, so I think that's a nice touch, but I'm really looking forward to getting a hands on with this game and hopefully it'll feel just as good in my hands as it looks on screen.

Anyway, here's an interview which says much of what's been stated already, but shows a more ferocious enemy in action:

http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3...c-devil/731027

I still want the enemies to be more challenging, mind.

Enjoy!

Industrial music fits strangely good and the environments are really good looking. I've never been a great fan of the franchise, but it looks fast and noisy enough to keep me interested. We'll see!

Already made a thread on this....

I'll keep an open mind. Looks like a fun game but I won't deny the changed appearance still commands less hype to me copared to games such as Metal Gear Rising or The Last of Us.

Boss Fight with the Cockroach Boss, now named Poison:

http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3...c-devil/731411

Lot's of emphasis on the F word. Too much for my liking, but the game does look good. Shame the guy playing kind of sucks.

It looks like in mid fight when her head flashes red and blue, you can use your special Demon or Angel powers to do special moves, but I guess the guy playing didn't really understand that.

I don't think I really like Dante's new personality, but the game does look really cool and some of the songs are great, so I'm really looking forward to a hands on with the title.

Opinions?

Gameplay is looking decent. I hope they have some cool boss designs. Just because something is a demon it shouldn't automatically make them a nasty gooey blob. I've generally found enemy designs to be quite interesting for DMC (minus the last stages of DMC1. Just not a gooey/freak/blob kinda guy) so I'm hoping NT can deliver.

Edit:

Just to add now, people ripping on his play style probably aren't realising it can pretty confusing at first. It's easy to die. In fact, I died a handful of times on that boss. The control scheme is a little different to old DMC so can be a bit jarring. With that said it's still quite fun and definitely something haters may want/have to reserve until the game drops.

It's looking good, but I feel that there is too much emphasis on being "edgy" rather than fun - a lot of unecessary cursing and references to modern day surveillance society and media saturation. I'd prefer they stick with the established fantasy demon world idea too, instead of evoking real Christianity heaven / hell. A lot of these complaints would be irrelevant if they'd branched out into a new IP with this, as it stands it's probably turning out as a good game but could have done more with room to breath outside the DMC name.

I really like the new Dante, don't know why peaople making such a fuss about the changes they made. Look at the new Tomb Raider .. they turned Lara Croft into a little crybaby on a survival island. In the new DmC, Dante is still badass and the game's mechanics, effects etc. still look like DmC.
Really looking foreward to this game.

You've played it? How the heck have you played it? I didn't think you wrote for anybody and the only place I know that's shown it has been E3.... :/

Lucky.

Still, give me half an hour and I'll probably be getting S ranks.

Lucky, I guess is the choice word.

Like I said, the controls can be a bit jarring at first. You'll be trying to do things like you normally would except it doesn't work quite the same. Once you get your head around it though things get better and feel similar.

The game looks good, but I can't help but feel that Capcom could have hyped it to be an original title all together, but I suppose that the DMC brand on it, adds hype. Capcom seem to do less and less original games or titles these days :/
