With the new expansion, Fallout is now on 1350 gamerscore. 5th may is the US date tho, i dunno if its the same for EU. Same price as the previos expansions, 800 MS points. I cant wait, love fallout 3 :D

What does Broken Steel add?
Operation Anchorage was the Virtual Reality simulation of the war in Canada between America and China.
The Pit (Pitt?) is the slaver camp/factory/mining area.

I found the ending in Fallout 3 was terrible as it told you nothing and was disappointing, I'm glad Broken Steel gets rid of it.

I didnt get any expansion yet, need to get some MSpoints first ^^ So im waitin until BS is out, then ill get all 3.
Btw, how does it work, if i get the pitt for example, how do i know where to go etc ?
You'll pick up a radio station broadcast.
I dont give a damm about DLC as long its not free.
Edit Spike profanity game developers, take an example from valve! Thats why is valve one of my two favourite companies, cause it knows what gamers like and hate, and payed dlc, thats what they hate

I seem to remember paying for Episodes 1 and 2.
Episode one is a datadisk and two is a standalone game with new engine - orange box engine.
I dont know many companies with free downloadable full games :D
Btw, whats profanity?

Profanity is bad language.
Episode 1 & 2 are still DLC that had to be paid for.
DLC is, mostly, just a modern term for "expansion pack" and as long as the DLC is worth the price then I see no problem.
What Bethesda are offering for Fallout 3 is fairly reasonable.

I agree with tzm, Fallout 3 DLC is good/big enough to be wort 10€. Its a DLC which adds new quests, n all who played Fallout 3 kno how big it is n how long a quest can take. The DLC for it is like 5 - 10 hours extra gameplay, which is fun.
But some games, the DLC is just a joke. Lets say Guitar Hero or Rock Band for example. 2€ / Song ? This is like stealing. Imagine how many Songs there r to download.....
Anyway, i cant w8 til Broken Steel n until that ill get the other gamerscore of the original game ( no expansion bought yet ), then ill get em all together n have 20h more to do :D
Bad language? Are you kidding me? I havent cursed here!
If you say that broken steel has 10 hours of gameplay, then ok, i think its fair to pay for that, fallout is indeed a great game.
But DLC like new costumes, new mods, i really hate that, it should have been already in the game! Talking about payed DLC, look at SFIV costumes and RE5 online mod( or something like that), i think these things should have been in the game already.
I dont think episode 1 and 2 are DLC, i bought them with the orange box... not online, in classic games shop.
Episode one is a datadisk
Ah, so if they put the Fallout DLC on a disc, it automatically is okay then? :D
and two is a standalone game with new engine - orange box engine.
It wasn't a new engine; it's still the same old Source with some updates.
Bad language? Are you kidding me? I havent cursed here!
What I edited out was "could" have been offensive to people with religion.
Don't take it so personal :) just tying to keep the forum clean of anything that could be classed as offensive.
Ah, so if they put the Fallout DLC on a disc, it automatically is okay then? :D
Well, then i would call it a datadisk, not dlc.
Technicaly everything that is on steam is dlc, cause you just download it, do you agree?(cause i dont).
The thing i want to say is that dlc is not on a disc, that means episode 1 and 2 are not dlc cause you can buy them in a shop.
Understand what im saying? :D
Btw spike, i really dont think that what i wrote was, or could have been in some way offensive... damm, i cant remember what i wrote there...

It is DLC but also you can buy them in shops.
A lot of DLC comes to disc if their is enough to put onto it and demand for it.
At the end of the day if it is something i like i don't mind paying as it does cost to make and distribute.
I will PM you what you said so we can lay this matter to rest :)

It is DLC.
DLC = Downloadable Content.
Episode 1 & 2, and every other game available over Steam, PSN, XBL, etc, is Content that is Downloadable.
However, the differences lie in whether you are downloading an Expansion Pack, a Full Game, or just a Minor Addition.
Broken Steel, The Pitt and Operation Anchorage are Expnasion Packs that you happen to be able to buy online rather than physically.

Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles are DLC...yet you can also buy them on a Physical disc.
Siren: Blood Curse is DLC, yet you can also buy it on disc.
Ok, i just want to say that dlc like new maps, skins etc. that are released should be free or already ingame, i hate when they release uber-awesome new mods and skins... but not 4 free.
First i thought broken steel is like a little addon to the game but now i know its worth paying money. They should call it a new game or datadisk, i hear all the time everyone is releasing dlc but what kind of a dlc? New maps? Skins? Or a expansion? See what i mean? All the time i thought broken steel is just like any other dlc, if they called it new expansion instead of dlc, we didnt have to post like 10 messages here :D
Thx spike for the message, now i see what you ment :D... you are right, its not a biggy :D

That's useful to know...though a little odd that Broken Steel isn't on the disc to.
Though as some of the comments say, that might come out at a later date, possibly with another DLC...

Ye but its kinda the same, if u pay 20 euro for 2400 points or 16 euro for 2 expansions + points for the 3rd. I dunno what ill do atm tho, but i think ill just download em from the marketplace.
