Monster Hunter: Dos(2) was not cancelled, it was simply a Japan only release. The reason it remained a Japan only title was due to the frankly appalling sales of the original Monster Hunter in the west, and as such, it was never intended for a Western release.
It could be imported and played on a Western console (provided you had the means to do so) but of course - there were no language options which meant you had to try and interpret the Japanese or use online guides. Thankfully, MH's item avatars and rareness markings assisted in overcoming the language barrier. I pre-ordered my copy from PlayAsia and spent an absolute fortune shipping the item; yet those are the sacrifices one makes as a die-hard Monster Hunter fan.

Just by it on PSP seatiss, Monster Hunter Freedom Unite ( will be released soon ), its the same as MH2 with additional monsters and weapons.
And as deadman said, the other way is to import, n even if u will do this u cant play online, ull need a japanese console too, ull need to fight through the registration and ull have to pay to play.
PSP -> best way to play MH2.

yea, I always wondered the same thing. I was waiting for it but never seen it in europe atleast...
