Come on! Resident Evil. Best EVER. Don't stop here, RESIDENT EVIL 6.
Ok, back to racoon city. S.T.A.R.S sqaud. you make your own S.T.A.R.S member give them a name age ect. Customise your own Samurai Edge, play online with up to 5 other people in your S.T.A.R.S squad by doing either missions or a kind of survival mode were you go round racoon city, access buildings and cars. Aim: SURVIVE AND KILL!! maybe build barricades like you can with deadrising by picking items/objects up. if a game like this was made..trust me, would be AMAZINGGG!!! Also maybe play as one of the previous resident evil characters e.i chris, jill, wekser ect. Back to the basic Zombie. the slow walking "urrrr.." kind of zombie. As for the story line i dont know but maybe if a game with this kind of idea in would be the best game EVER. Yeah, resident Evil 5 and all the rest are but wheres the fun? The fun has been lost a bit with resident evil and and so has the scare. The Excitment. Please bring back the good old times in racoon city with online play with minimum 3 people. Buy guns again and stuff like Resident Evil 5 and others but once you have completed Resident Evil 5 it gets a little bit boring because you think "yh i have infinate ammo for that gun, and yh i have that gun. Also once you completed the legendary Merceneries that gets a little bit boring. Ok, you have to complete it sometime but if there was a survival mode running around racoon city with your own little S.T.A.R.S character and with your friends it would never get boring. Well, thats my idea. I hope there will be a resident evil game with this idea. :)
(I know capcom no longer accept ideas but still, i'll share it.)
Sounds like a good plan. Since you're playing with S.T.A.R.S. members and in Raccoon City, why not send Nemesissy after them? :thumb:
The multiplayer concept looks fine too, but it should include a singleplayer option too with AI team member like in Outbreak.
Raccoon City was indeed somehow the perfect location for the Resident Evil stories, it's a shame they blew it to pieces. :(

yh it would. And Racoon City was the best. I suppose it doesnt have to be a resident evil 6, just another game like the Outbreaks. They were pretty good but quite hard.

Yeah some good ideas there! I totally agree with the Raccoon City setting, but seeing as all that's left is a massive scorch mark in the earth where Raccoon City used to be, why not just set it in another city? Why not even set it somewhere real, like New York, London or Paris? A real location might give it a bit more of an edge.
I definitely think it should go urban again anyway, we've had enough mud huts in the last two games!

That's a nice idea, they could use technology similar to the one that Google uses to get the 3D images of the cities, and put it in the game with a bit of horror looking... It would look sweet

Yeah, I'd imagine it wouldn't be too difficult to do it, we've seen it done in other games. Imagine battling in and around the Eiffel Tower, Buckingham Palace or any other major landmarks, that would be class.
Or fighting up massive streets in New York with huge glass skyscrapers towering above.
And if they do go urban for the next one, they absolutely have to have a shopping mall section! I know it's cliche, but it's never been done with Resident Evil (has it?). All the lights could be out and it would be played like the mine section of part 5, you know the part where one person has to carry the lamp?
And bring back zombies as well! Just make them a bit faster, it wouldn't take much explaining! And for the love of God, don't give them machine guns!

yeah, running round the bottom of the eiffel tower lol or in central park NY. And in resident evil 5 it kinda turns into a lara croft with the whole 'tomb' idea. Running down a corridor jumping over gaps while being chased by a huge boulder. Not only that but the mirror part.. (light reflecting things)
"And for the love of God, don't give them machine guns!"
Don't even give them anything. The amount of times i was getting shot at and hit by from machine guns and pitchforks..
Resident evil 5 is ok, but it kinda isn't as good as the old ones. 1) majini not zombies. (doesn't that translate to evil spirits or something?)
2)Weapons (do not give zombies/majini's weapons.)
3) you can't quit the game from the item menu. (it's annoying if you have to go or rush of or something if you don't want to turn your xbox off straight away)
4) I don't have a 4 yet.

Please read this entire post:
okay her it is my idea is that former S.T.A.R.S. members are reliving the nightmare! But my by choice! My idea of whose going back to raccoon city and the arklay mountains but in my opinion I say the characters who are going back to the city get separated (mission coordinates) Chris and jill get the Mansion again and claire and leon meet up in the center of raccoon city.
Now what happens to jill and chris is almost what happens in the directors cut.....they separate when they reach the mansion. and when this happens you get the same choices as before playing as chris or jill! Later in the game while in the mansion again you will be ambushed by several tyrants and thats when Wesker saves you! now this next part may sound stupid but just hear me out on this one, Wesker has his memories wiped out and came to the mansion for answers to his past!
Oh I forgot to mention that this game will have two different story lines for the arklay mountains and raccoon city! So it will be like two different games for RE6! Sort of like the whole Disc one, Disc two deal.
Back to Leon and Claire! Leon is given directions to return to the city for any clues remaining on how to rid the world of the T-virus and will rendevouz with Claire at the southend of the city!
Another thing! You get to choose whether to play as Leon or Claire the sentences above were just examples!
Anyway back to the plot! who ever you play as will determine what happens and who you meet up with! Let me explain a little more before I go on.....
Lets say you play as Leon, about say halfway through the game you feel as if you've been every where when suddenly a carrier of the G-virus appears! as you fight it nothing seems to work! Thats when Ada appears and scares off the G-virus carrier! If you were to play as Claire the you would be surrounded by a pack of cerberuses and before even one makes a move multiple shots are made and kills the pack and your saviors are non other than Barry and HUNK!
One more thing! as to finding weapons(yes finding not buying) you have to look really hard for keys to rooms because your gonna be traveling. A lot.
ONE MORE THING! THIS PART MAY SOUND STUPID BUT PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT THE MENTION OF THE IDEA IS ESSENTIAL TO THE GAME IDEA!
I'm not going to forget the most important characters of the game! That's right! The zombies! due to the fact that Raccoon city was nuked all those suckers should be dead right? Sure in a way, but still wrong! for my idea I believe that the surrounding areas near the city should have felt the minor blast waves (powerful gusts of winds and such) and when that happened everyone in the vicinity is automatically infected with the T-virus! But the effects are asymptomatic (doesn't feel the symptoms of the virus), and the government already knew everyone was infected but for the first 8 years the virus was dormant in all the hosts. Now my idea is that the government took all surounded civillians and quarantined them in the remains of Raccoon city and the Arklay mountains. After being stranded in the city and mansion, the virus re-awakens and the people starts to change into zombie one by one and soon turning raccoon city back into the horrific fun nightmare everybody loved.
And those are my ideas.....I've done a lot of thinking. hope you like my ideas!
you know it would be fun if you could costumies your own chrqacter and play with that character you had maked and play it in story mode or.... yo could play as sheva, chris, wesker etc:D

Chris Valentine:
- S.T.A.R.S were a one time group. All of whom are either dead or accounted for... so to play as a Squad of S.T.A.R.S members during the Raccoon City Incident would be impossible.
What would be possible would be to play as a member of the SPF Unit, that was created to replace S.T.A.R.S after they were destroyed.
- If it were an Outbreak style online game, it could be quite interesting. Having limited supplies, limited space, etc. But the ability to drive, explore, etc...basically, to play it as an MMO...I think that this would completely detract from the main aim and purpose of the series.
100 SPF members crowding around a Tyrant beating it with a broom (thanks for this idea Dante2014 ;) ) just wouldn't be fun...
Project nemesis:
- Arklay Mansion and Raccoon City are gone...destroyed. All blowed up.
- To bring back Wesker, having survived an overdose of his anti-mutation serum, and a quick dip in some lava, would be ridiculous. To then have him lose his memories, and to save the people he's spent most of his adult life trying to kill...
I know you're writing it mostly as a fan, and have obviously put a lot of thought into it (I think?), but the whole idea completely goes against everything the series has stated so far.

uhm. i mean going back to the time. like just taking it back to old resident evil time..i know racoon city wask nuked an stuff. Maybe a side game like outbreak then..not carrying on from this time obviously but it would be good. I really miss the "urrr" zombies, mijini and stuff don't go very well, it looses the scare.
What would be cool is if a character your playing as in the racoon city whatever is about to die!..............and so then they're like, "I have to do it, it's the only way" and injects themselves with the virus like what wesker did. so then you can play as them and like pick up cars and stuff and throw them at people, and climb buildings and stuff!:D

Ya! that would be sooo fun. I wish also that you could fight against other online characters, not just work with them to kill zombies. like chris against jill, but online:nod:
a return to the old ambiance will be appreciate. Resindent evil 5 is a poor shooter, for re4, that was good, for re5, it's too much.
Give me a re6 with horror ambiance and all be fine !

Still, even if we go back in time to do prequels...the S.T.A.R.S were a limited force and were not involved in the Raccoon City Outbreak...so it would have to be SPF members. But we then get to the problem of having overpowered characters.
Also, Majini and Ganado could very easily be scary...if they weren't so action oriented.
Imagine only having a knife (oldschool RE style knife, not RE5 Machete), and facing down a crowd of Majini? Or a pitch black labyrinth, where you only have a torch to light your way (no weapons) and a Fat Majini is stalking you?

A walking human squid..hmm.
And its not in a pitch black labyrinth though is it :p therfore it isn't scary. Plus..ya normal zombies are much better, i mean ok..it wouldn't be as good if it was in africa in pure daylight like with the majini but it would still be a lil more scary. What gives it the scare affect is the zombies groaning in pure darkness with hardly any other ramaining people and that the zombies bite you..not stick tentacles in your face. Although that is pretty funny lol. :p:)

Sounds great, especially the customization/creating your own character, but the whole idea of it sounds more like a spin off, in the sense that there's up to 5 people that can play, which would probably detract from the general scary and tense feel that Resi gives you. But apart from that it sounds amazing.
I dont understand you people, atlast the real resident evil fans, how can there be any discution about resident evil 6 when resident evil series is over since code veronica ?
I remember when i bought resident evil 4 i was like omg lets see (becaus till then i was fascinated from evry one 1,2,3,code veronica)
then i started playng it i saw they changed the camera into a shooter style...hmmm ok, lets continue , ....then i see no more zombies...i see talking spaniol people.....hmmmm ok lets continue more....i see a lot of ammo and gunshots.....then i start thinking about and i noticed it changed into a total action shooter...oke i continued playng it hoping there will be some nice t-virus bosses, zombies, scary thriller gameplay and some hardcore riddels.....there was None.
Only action action shoot pac shoot pac...then i got to the end of the long game and i ended it and saw the ending movie....then i said hmmm where is the story ? is this all about the story ? some 2 minutes of wesker ?.....last thing i did was to read again the title from the dvd becaus i wasent sure that it was called resident evil 4 but it was...well the game was long and nice to play but i was kidna disapointed becaus of the major changes witch destroyed it in my eyes...
Allright. then i saw resident evil 5 working title, i tought that they did a big fail with this number 4 and that they gona do major changes in the next number 5, so i waited 5 years with the hope that this one gona have back the hardcore tons of story ingame movies, survivor horror style , good riddels, facilitys and big surprizes... after 5 years i go in the shop and buy it...i play it done it in like 9 hours, after that i noticed ok this game is totaly super comercialized to sell copies for new comer shooter fans.
Unfortunetly capcom destroyed this vonderfull once revolutionary title...and there is nothing they can do to refix it becaus it costed 2 titels. the only way they could of save this title was if re4 and 5 wouldnt be called :number 4 and number 5, both of this games arent even 20% of code veronica or even 10% of resident evil 1,2,3.
its a big pain for me becaus i loved this title and let me tell you what, yes i know a lot of ppl say ok its not what it was but i enjoyed it....well dont b so kind with capcom becaus you all waited almoust 10 years for this last 2 titles witch became nothing more then action shooters with insulting eazy riddels and lack of story imagination - genre change.
If i want to play an action shooter game then i buy gears of war, or half life or whatever else of thousend of shooter games, if i want to play racing games i buy gran turismo or forza , if i want to play rpg i buy final fantasy or lost odyssey, but WHEN I WANT TO PLAY AN SURVIVOR HORROR GAME witch i loved back in the days becaus the WAY IT WAS ! then i buy that !!!. now shame to capcom for changing totaly and destroyng a title witch was once back in 96 revolutionary just for the interest of selling more copies.
I understand all who dont agree with me becaus here are hardcore resident and capcom fans who never ever gona say the simple truth that the game is finsihed and done since cod veronica.
And for those who say "they had to make changes becaus nobody would buy it anymore becaus it was to outdated. i cant agree with that, becaus as i sayd alredy if i want to play a shooter game then i can chose 102391239210, if i want fighting i can chose 12321321, but this was special becaus of its gameplay, riddels, style, story ...
now the only thing left for capcom to try to save atlast theyr reputation in the eyes of real fans like i "was". would be to make a double full bluray disc 1 big game 1 new hard good graphix engine and put all the resident evils "zero, 1 , 2, 3 ,code veronica" all in 1 game 1 engine and remaked the whole in one with some improvements like resident evil 1 rmk had (i mean make it a bit longer biger more scenarions , directors`s cut, etc..). if capcom would make that (witch they never gona do) then they could get some respect back for the resident evil title.
Payed for resident evil 5, + waited 5 years for 9 hours of action shooting ?.....
Lets wait 7 more years to play another 9 hours of shooting on playstation 4 !
A walking human squid..hmm.
And its not in a pitch black labyrinth though is it :p therfore it isn't scary.
FYI, the Big Man Majini doesn't have a visable "Squid"...
What TZM is trying to say, is that the Majini have the potential to be scary, it all depends on the story, how they are portrayed as well as what they are capable of.
A good writer can make anything scary, take Stephen King for example, he's managed to make a clown, a car, a dog and a mobile phone scary... It's all in the penwork.
Plus..ya normal zombies are much better, i mean ok..it wouldn't be as good if it was in africa in pure daylight like with the majini but it would still be a lil more scary.
Thats a matter of opinion, the goal of RE5 was to make day as scary as night using a light/dark mechanic that momentarily blinded you on entering a dark place, however, this was cut from the final game, resulting in everywhere being bright and not as scary.
What gives it the scare affect is the zombies groaning in pure darkness with hardly any other ramaining people and that the zombies bite you..not stick tentacles in your face. Although that is pretty funny lol. :p:)
Zombies are disgusting, not scary, it's within the human condition to be scared of illness, so a corpse that is able to harm you and spread its illness on to you is what makes them intolerable, so you're subliminally scared of the illness, not the actual zombie. :p
I dont understand you people, atlast the real resident evil fans, how can there be any discution about resident evil 6 when resident evil series is over since code veronica ?
Well, uh, the series is very much alive at the fifth game, and who are you to say what counts as a "real fan"?
I remember when i bought resident evil 4 i was like omg lets see (becaus till then i was fascinated from evry one 1,2,3,code veronica)
then i started playng it i saw they changed the camera into a shooter style...hmmm ok, lets continue , ....then i see no more zombies...i see talking spaniol people.....hmmmm ok lets continue more....i see a lot of ammo and gunshots.....then i start thinking about and i noticed it changed into a total action shooter...,
And what exactly where you doing with that handgun in Code Veronica?
oke i continued playng it hoping there will be some nice t-virus bosses,
The T-Virus doesn't necessarily make a good boss... The Nemesis has a parasite, G-Mutation has the G-Virus, hell, even Steve had the T-Veronica virus, the only bosses the T-Virus produced where vanilla tyrants and big versions of animals...
RE4 dared to have a bit of variety, what about the Verdugo? Regenerator? Dr.Salvador? Bella Sisters? U-3?
zombies, scary thriller gameplay and some hardcore riddels.....there was None.
If you want to be technical, the Ganados are technically zombies since they lack human conciousness and ultimately carry out orders with no will of their own, which is actually close to the original concept of the voodoo zombies, it's only until the book "I Am Legend" used science and inspired Romero movies did we get "dead" zombies...
As for the riddles, what about the light puzzle? the bell puzzle? the insignia puzzle?
Where you paying attention?
Only action action shoot pac shoot pac...then i got to the end of the long game and i ended it and saw the ending movie....then i said hmmm where is the story ? is this all about the story ? some 2 minutes of wesker ?
Cutscenes, view them. Files, Read them.
.....last thing i did was to read again the title from the dvd becaus i wasent sure that it was called resident evil 4 but it was...
So, you read the title AFTER buying and completing the game? you're lucky you didn't pick up "Driver 3"...
well the game was long and nice to play but i was kidna disapointed becaus of the major changes witch destroyed it in my eyes...
You enjoyed it and yet you where disappointed by it?
Allright. then i saw resident evil 5 working title, i tought that they did a big fail with this number 4 and that they gona do major changes in the next number 5, so i waited 5 years with the hope that this one gona have back the hardcore tons of story ingame movies, survivor horror style , good riddels, facilitys and big surprizes... after 5 years i go in the shop and buy it...i play it done it in like 9 hours, after that i noticed ok this game is totaly super comercialized to sell copies for new comer shooter fans.
Well, they are in this industry to make money, so any commercialization is legit, and since RE has a repuation for being a horror series, they wouldn't really pick up a shooter audience that wouldn't care for survival horror anyway, even if it has become a shooter.
It's possible to complete any one of the original trilogy in under 2 hours, and the puzzles are hardly mind-numbing.
its a big pain for me becaus i loved this title and let me tell you what, yes i know a lot of ppl say ok its not what it was but i enjoyed it....well dont b so kind with capcom becaus you all waited almoust 10 years for this last 2 titles witch became nothing more then action shooters with insulting eazy riddels and lack of story imagination - genre change.
Well, it's only natural that you would find people that are "kind" to Capcom on their own message boards, not everyone in the world hates RE5.
And, the puzzles haven't changed a bit, only the ones that require maths or code, it's still pretty much item collection and finding the right key to the right door.If i want to play an action shooter game then i buy gears of war, or half life or whatever else of thousend of shooter games, if i want to play racing games i buy gran turismo or forza , if i want to play rpg i buy final fantasy or lost odyssey, but WHEN I WANT TO PLAY AN SURVIVOR HORROR GAME witch i loved back in the days becaus the WAY IT WAS ! then i buy that !!!. now shame to capcom for changing totaly and destroyng a title witch was once back in 96 revolutionary just for the interest of selling more copies.
It was a survival horror game, it had a horror theme with the element of survial, it's hardly destroying a game by improving the combat mechanic and focusing on enduring large hordes rather than solving lateral puzzles...I understand all who dont agree with me becaus here are hardcore resident and capcom fans who never ever gona say the simple truth that the game is finsihed and done since cod veronica.
The "simple" truth is, I appreciate the franchise and its storyline, but I'm not going to stand in the way of progress by being blinded with nostalgia, sure, I loved the feeling of the old games, however, there is only so much they can do, it's time to move on.
Well, its true, people where upset that RE0 used the same mechanic as the original trilogy, even with the addition of the "Zapping" system, people felt it was old and needed to change.
If they had the technology 10 years ago, RE1 would have been like RE4, they all use gun based combat, just with a different setting and different enemies, it's only with the new system that they've been able to truly pull off what they originally intended.
now the only thing left for capcom to try to save atlast theyr reputation in the eyes of real fans like i "was". would be to make a double full bluray disc 1 big game 1 new hard good graphix engine and put all the resident evils "zero, 1 , 2, 3 ,code veronica" all in 1 game 1 engine and remaked the whole in one with some improvements like resident evil 1 rmk had (i mean make it a bit longer biger more scenarions , directors`s cut, etc..). if capcom would make that (witch they never gona do) then they could get some respect back for the resident evil title.
Well, Firstly, there is no point in doing that, all the games are available for a cheap price, Nintendo owns the exclusive rights to RE0 and REmake, and since the Wii can't run Blu-Ray, it would be impossible to fit all the games on one disc.
Secondly, you're describing remakes of all the titles, it's not simple just reskinning all the models to make several games out of the same engine, the additions would have to be tested, and whats more, is that the original games are pretty much complete, RE1 wasn't the original vision of the creator, hence REmake was nearly an entirely different game, since they had the technology to do it right, Code Veronica, Zero and REmake are all fairly new, only RE2 and 3 would need remaking, which is something all the fans are after.
Payed for resident evil 5, + waited 5 years for 9 hours of action shooting ?.....
Lets wait 7 more years to play another 9 hours of shooting on playstation 4 !
You're not the only one who is sore about this, but you seem more interested in the gameplay over the plot... Most fans love the game because of its story elements, which ultimately evened out the more action oriented gameplay, the conclusion of the Wesker story has indeed wiped the slate clean, no one knows what to expect now, so, if it means that I'll have to wait another 9 years to witness an original story, so be it.

True, although i suppose with the normal zombies it is they illness and that they spread..but what makes it scary is that its dark..you cant see them and dont know were to go/what to do. Plus..they bite you which (for the characters) would cause pain, also that you dont want to loose your 'life' and just become some slow walking, groaning person who has nothing to do apart from standing in a street eating flesh. I know they tried to make it scary in day time but..ok, it's not all bad, still a good game but i don't think anyone could make a game that is really scary in the daylight. When you play it on your own at night when it is night on the game it makes you kinda feel like your almost in the game..because i suppose you could be 'alone in the dark'.
Majini in the dark wouldn't be as good as normal zombies in the dark but would certainly make it scarier. Oh and..well, majini carrying machine guns while wearing bullet proof vests.
Also not verry good shooting in re5...you have to stand still to shoot or reload. :(
Dante2014 you have some point , but in some way i feel you protect the new system to mutch , im sure you have a part inside of you that dozent like at all some of the new changes.
You remember the camera style in code veronica ? camera folows the character , now imagine that style in a next generation graphix engine.
Not that this new style of camera dozent fit in the "changes" .
The riddels in re1, 2, 3, completing the game and completing the scenarions wasent that eazy back in the 90`s considering that we were some kids back then and the game was a big change of 96`s mario to resident evil..i remember resident evil 1 as being the first survivor horror game genre that since nobody had to do anything with puzzels like that before the game took some players a good long while to finish it, its about the feeling we had back then , now in my opinion is that such a big company as capcom should work hard to try to bring back the exactly feeling in a gamers home like back in the 90`s with the first titels witch is a very hard job considering that ppl finished those games , those games aint new for the world of gaming anymore and that players did grow up since then.
About puzzels in re4 and re5...please those puzzels are insulting for some one who can use his brain normaly.
Zombies, how can you compare the feeling from back in the days killing zombies with now killing tons of infected talking walking people with evry kind of weapon in theyr hands ? is it so hard to see that the game has way to mutch action for its genre ? dont you miss T-virus and G-virus ?, i have no words for how nice the feeling was fighting tyrant back in 96. or the unbeliveble great creative idea of resident evil 3`s boss (dont remember his name) who always said "STARS" and came always when you never expected him and scared the sh.... out of ya :P.
Talking about that feeling back then can you in ANY WAY compare it to the feeling you had just shooting in resident evil 5 or even 4 ?.
Maybe im wrong but as far i remember old resident evils gave us alot of more story inside the game while playng it + ingame movies, and it still was some kind of a mistery back then since we all wanted to know what Exactly happend there. Now even if i loved fully evry old resident evil the bigest succes in puzzels, story, gameplay for me was code veronica witch would dezerve more the title nr:4 then actualy 4 did. (not the graphix makes a game , the gameplay and feeling and the way where that game makes you feel is).
I know nintendo rezerves the rights of resident evil zero and 1rmk but my idea of making a duble bluray disc 1 game 1 engine of a all in 1 remake with improvements like the re1rmk had would be for me a revolutionary game now in 2009 , maybe its just me or maybe its a bad idea...but when i imagine how it would be to put the disc in the console start from resident evil zero and play a 50 - 60 hours of FULL gameplay+story+puzzels movies till end of code veronica in a total new engine would be something just ....wooooww.
i have an xbox360..a samsung syncmaster 2333hd full hd monitor hdmi and optic sound on 5.1 so i have all i need to play real next gen way but...i just dont feel 10% of this compared to the feeling when i had ps2 and played code veronica or ps1 playng the old resident evils..
Now talking about how resident evil 6 should be ...how can it be ? it is clear that it will be exactly same as 4 and 5 just another place and maybe another enemyes, but the "action-shooter" genre will never change back to what the original title was once. nostalgia hell yea !

Yeh but it's not the HD & all that that make it scarier though is it.
So im gona ask what u people think is scarier.
A) Pitch black city (like racoon) with groaning zombies
or
B) Daylight town with Majini.
Mine as you may know would be A.
(I didn't want a seperate thread with a poll for this, wanted to keep it in the same thread)
like chris against jill, but online:nod:
Wouldn't that be like versus mode for RE5?
My vision on Resident Evil 6
Since I’m tired of saving the world over and over again I would like to play with a bad guy this time. So Albert Wesker would be the main character. The game would take place in Racoon City right after the mansion incident and right before the city was destroyed. In short, Racoon City under siege, hundreds of zombies running the streets, Tyrant looking for S.T.A.R.S members, lickers, etcetra.
The story line would have to be altered; there would be no point in playing Albert dressed up like Neo with his superpowers (why in the hell did they do that?!?)
So he didn’t die in the Mansion incident, he managed to escape and he returned to Racoon City. The plot itself should be a bit more complicated than it was in RE5, Albert could officially be still working for umbrella (he could have the same mission that Hunk had, get the G-Virus), but in secret setting his own plans in motion. Characters that should reappear: William Birkin and his wife, Hunk, some of the S.T.A.R.S team members (he could for an example see some of them being torn apart by zombies), maybe Ada. He could even meet with the Tyrant at some point and give him orders to eliminate the S.T.A.R.S members. I am a bit sick of Chris, Jill, Claire and Leon (I love Leon, but he just wouldn’t fit, and the game wouldn’t be about saving the world, but achieving Weskers goals) so the should NOT reappear. While exploring Umbrellas facilities Wesker would learn more about Umbrellas dirty secrets and some of the characters appearing in the previous game.
So it’s Racoon City (preferably at night) lots of zombies. But the game shouldn’t be about killing 100 zombies in each chapter. Yes, there should be lots of them, but like in RE2 you shouldn’t be able to fight all of them. The feeling of fear, doubt, and uncertainty should accompany you through all of the game. You shouldn’t be able to stand a chance against a group of zombies. So you would kill only those you would have to and flee, but to make it better they would be able to follow you. So getting inside a building wouldn’t sort the problem, because they would go after you. Albert should be able to search bodies of dead people. Searching the bodies of dead police officers, police cars and gun shops should be the main source of ammunition, guns and gun parts. The stupid idea of a dog dying and leaving 20 9mm rounds, gold, diamonds, and herbs should disappear. As well as buying and upgrading weapons from a shop before the mission and finding priceless stones and golden beetles. You would find guns and upgrade parts in various places: police armoury, gun shop, police cars, and dead officers (something like the upgrade kits Leon found in RE2 for his handgun and magnum).
The game should allow you to make choices (which way to go, engage zombies killing some poor people, or leave them to their fate and so on) and then you should take the consequences of your actions. For an example, you’re being “chased” (they’re not running) by a horde of zombies you can either take the alley left or right or use the sewer. Now depending on the choice you’ve made you’ll either preserve some ammo first, but then encounter some though enemy (Lickers, I love lickers), or you’ll miss a location with a certain item you might be interested in, or luckily manage to get to your destination safely . If for an example you choose not to save someone and that person is going to die, there’s a chance that while going back the same way you’ll get attacked by the same person turned into a zombie (it should be random).
The ability to choose which way to go, or what to do, would make the game more interesting. You would probably play it again just to see what would have happened if I would turn left not right?
Bodies of dead zombies should not disappear; they should remain on the ground. If it’s possible bodies that might come back to live and those of definitely dead people should be graphically exactly the same. After killing a zombie there should be no special signs of its death (something like blood coming out of the body, or something like that). You shouldn’t be able to tell is it dead or not until you try to search it. If it would still be alive it could try to grab you or something, and you could finish it of by twisting its neck or stabbing it with you knife in the head (there should be more than one possible finishing move)
Oh and something else
Aiming, reloading and shooting while walking!
Imagine Wesker falling back into an alley shooting zombies in their legs to slow them down and buy him some time.
You should be able to dismember zombies !!!
Single player only!
[edit]
puzzles should be challenging (not like the ones in RE5)
no more Gears of War or Indiana Jones stuff
no zombies with machine guns
True, although i suppose with the normal zombies it is they illness and that they spread..but what makes it scary is that its dark..you cant see them and dont know were to go/what to do.
Sometimes, its just not practically possible to have zombies in the dark.
Sure, they can do it well for a while, but bright white sterile medical facilities and purposely lit areas wouldn't be able to hide zombies in the dark realistically.
Plus..they bite you which (for the characters) would cause pain, also that you dont want to loose your 'life' and just become some slow walking, groaning person who has nothing to do apart from standing in a street eating flesh.
True, thats partly why zombies are scary, but thats hard to do properly in a game, since most of those instances are plot oriented, the character manages to find the cure at the last moment or something to that effect.
Characters in distress and pain do enhance the horror element, but this applies to any enemy, not just zombies.
Once again, it's all in how the story is told.
Light is a comfort, to have that comfort somehow violated to the point it was actually dangerous to go out in the light would be scary, they just failed to do it properly.
Night brings fear of the unknown because of the dark, it's created numerous legends purely because of misinterpretation and exaggeration of things not seen clearly in the dark, if you know that there are zombies in the dark, its no scarier than having a zombie in a dark room purely because you know what it is, what it is capable of and how to kill it.
Majini in the dark wouldn't be as good as normal zombies in the dark but would certainly make it scarier. Oh and..well, majini carrying machine guns while wearing bullet proof vests.
Also not verry good shooting in re5...you have to stand still to shoot or reload. :(
And you don't find the fact that they can use tools scary? :p
Majini's human-level intelligence is what makes them intimidating, the fact that you can mow down hundreds of zombies with a chaingun, whilst a Majini can find a chaingun of his own and turn it on you. ;)
Dante2014 you have some point , but in some way i feel you protect the new system to mutch , im sure you have a part inside of you that dozent like at all some of the new changes.
Never protected the new system, just said what I felt about it, Im sure that back in the day, the control system of the first three games went under much scrutiny, and yet we like a system that was considered flawed by many.
Also, if you notice, the controls have not changed much since the original games, only the perspective, the button layout is pretty much the same, only this time, you can aim accurately.
I can list many problems with the new system, but I can also say that the list is far smaller than that of the old system.
You remember the camera style in code veronica ? camera folows the character , now imagine that style in a next generation graphix engine.
Not that this new style of camera dozent fit in the "changes" .
The new camera restricts the view to the front, making it far more tense when a large group is slowly surrounding you, that, and you could clearly see where you where going.
As for the old camera, imagine a driving simulator, now, imagine that you aren't actually in the car, you're above it, watching it from an angle, wouldn't the car be harder to navigate from a perspective where right steers visually to the left, and the left visually to the right because the car is going in the direction it is seeing, not you?
It was mostly block pushing, item collection and finding out where to go next, these puzzles where not that hard grasp, it was only until RE3 did we see the addition of maths puzzles and putting things in the right order.
And besides, there where somewhat unrealistic, using a medal on a water fountain to obtain a key? pushing a block to release a jewel to put in to a relief?
About puzzels in re4 and re5...please those puzzels are insulting for some one who can use his brain normaly.
You didn't get stuck with any of them first time you played?
The puzzles where indeed fairly hard to grasp at first, but as with any puzzle, once you know how to do it, it's easy, however, RE4 had a decent selection of puzzles, RE5 didn't, admittedly.Zombies, how can you compare the feeling from back in the days killing zombies with now killing tons of infected talking walking people with evry kind of weapon in theyr hands ?
Because I've grown up watching zombie movies, at this stage, I am no longer scared of them, there is only so much a zombie can do, whereas a "living zombie" with human intelligence is capable of alot more whilst still retaining the basic principles of the zombie.
Although, I do admit blowing the head off of a zombie cop is still fun...
is it so hard to see that the game has way to mutch action for its genre ? dont you miss T-virus and G-virus ?, i have no words for how nice the feeling was fighting tyrant back in 96. or the unbeliveble great creative idea of resident evil 3`s boss (dont remember his name) who always said "STARS" and came always when you never expected him and scared the sh.... out of ya :P.
Those where revolutionary times indeed, but it's all been done before, to repeat this over and over would be boring, they needed to bring something new to the table, and they did, it's just not as good as they thought.
Talking about that feeling back then can you in ANY WAY compare it to the feeling you had just shooting in resident evil 5 or even 4 ?.
RE4 was actually quite fun, It was enjoyable to fight with a Chainsaw Ganado and fight with the Verdugo. Whereas I struggled with the first three games because the control system was slow, inaccurate and often had me running in to the loving embrace of a zombie.
It's fun to pop zombie heads, but it's pretty fun to shoot out an enemies leg and kick them in the face, I can't compare the feelings, purely because I like them in their own way...
Maybe im wrong but as far i remember old resident evils gave us alot of more story inside the game while playng it + ingame movies, and it still was some kind of a mistery back then since we all wanted to know what Exactly happend there.
RE4 and 5 are highly cinematic, all you really have to do is read the files and watch the cutscenes, and there's the plot.
Although the RE5 plot was a bit flat if you had no previous understanding or experience of the last few games.
And the files, they revealed a hell of alot that you could easily miss.
Now even if i loved fully evry old resident evil the bigest succes in puzzels, story, gameplay for me was code veronica witch would dezerve more the title nr:4 then actualy 4 did. (not the graphix makes a game , the gameplay and feeling and the way where that game makes you feel is).
Code Veronica was an excellent game, but it provided the change in order to give us RE4 and 5.
It started the Wesker-Chris rivalry, prior to it, we still thought he was dead, and in turn, that meant RE5 had a lot more meaning.
And that the zombies where no longer a threat to Chris, he was happily pushing through them at the end, ended them on a high point, but also told us that there was a limit to what they could do, at this stage, I was no longer scared of zombies, and neither was he.I know nintendo rezerves the rights of resident evil zero and 1rmk but my idea of making a duble bluray disc 1 game 1 engine of a all in 1 remake with improvements like the re1rmk had would be for me a revolutionary game now in 2009 , maybe its just me or maybe its a bad idea...but when i imagine how it would be to put the disc in the console start from resident evil zero and play a 50 - 60 hours of FULL gameplay+story+puzzels movies till end of code veronica in a total new engine would be something just ....wooooww.
Its still possible to do that, all the games where re-released for gamecube, and are now cheap enough to get them all for under £100, so it would be cheap and easy to play each game back-to-back.
But I thought you where against any new engine? Isn't that the basis of your arguement for RE4 and 5?
i have an xbox360..a samsung syncmaster 2333hd full hd monitor hdmi and optic sound on 5.1 so i have all i need to play real next gen way but...i just dont feel 10% of this compared to the feeling when i had ps2 and played code veronica or ps1 playng the old resident evils..
That would be nostalgia, not any problem with the game, how you feel about it is entirely up to you.
Now talking about how resident evil 6 should be ...how can it be ? it is clear that it will be exactly same as 4 and 5 just another place and maybe another enemyes, but the "action-shooter" genre will never change back to what the original title was once. nostalgia hell yea !
Chances are, on a next gen console, people will look back at RE1 and think its trash, but look fondly back at the time they first bought a PS3 and played RE5 for the first time, thats what time and generations do.
Its all a matter of opinion at this stage, no one truly knows how the next game will turn out.
I did a comparison of Majini and Zombie a while back, I discovered they where actually equal in terms of scariness.
My vision on Resident Evil 6
Since I’m tired of saving the world over and over again I would like to play with a bad guy this time. So Albert Wesker would be the main character.
Well, uh, I hate to burst your bubble but, Wesker was last seen in a volcano, taking a rocket to the head...
Are you another person that has not played RE5 and thinks they can fairly say what goes in to RE6?
The game would take place in Racoon City right after the mansion incident and right before the city was destroyed. In short, Racoon City under siege, hundreds of zombies running the streets, Tyrant looking for S.T.A.R.S members, lickers, etcetra.
Resident Evil 2 and 3.... Resident Evil Outbreak and File 2.
The story line would have to be altered;
-Shakes head- I wouldn't say that if I where you....
there would be no point in playing Albert dressed up like Neo with his superpowers (why in the hell did they do that?!?)
There would be no point in playing as Wesker, since he was neither in Raccoon City at the time of the Outbreak (that we know of) nor would he have a reason to fight any thing, for the most part, Wesker was a pencil pusher who got his hands dirty when no one else could do the job for him.
-Choking on Chocolate milk-
He could even meet with the Tyrant at some point and give him orders to eliminate the S.T.A.R.S members.
You've not played Umbrella Chronicles, have you? or most of the other RE games, it would seem.
REmake did that rather well....
You would find guns and upgrade parts in various places: police armoury, gun shop, police cars, and dead officers (something like the upgrade kits Leon found in RE2 for his handgun and magnum).
That is pretty much the same concept of the original 3 games...
The game should allow you to make choices (which way to go, engage zombies killing some poor people, or leave them to their fate and so on) and then you should take the consequences of your actions. For an example, you’re being “chased” (they’re not running) by a horde of zombies you can either take the alley left or right or use the sewer. yh but dante, ( i couldnt be bothered to quote) but when you said about him being one of those people who has not played re5. well, doesn't mean he hasn't..or seen the ending because like with my idea...you can go back to the time when Wesker was alive and stuff rather than continuing into the future or maybe just doing side game like outbreak.

True, but this is limited to times where we do not know where he was and times that would not greatly impact an existing character.
We knew he was in a control room monitoring Ada during the Raccoon City outbreak, because Umbrella Chronicles shown us this...
And besides, it'd be meaningless anyway, since his death would nullify anything he gained from it, unless it was a pre-arranged series of events triggered after his death.
I like the idea of setting it in a real life city, and my suggestion is ... Washington !
Just for the sake of argument, say some quite elderly politicians who are currently out of office decide to inject themselves with massive doses of something they were told would make them immortal.
Some of them do return to public life and horrible things start happening to their political opponents.
And of course, there might be some entertainment in gunning down zombies who happen to resemble politicians ? Of course the resemblance to any real politicians would be purely co-incidental ;)

yh, better graphics for a RE game in somet like racoon city would be much better although i think they should do another outbreak game for 360 & ps3 because i liked them despite the fact they were very hard because i never knew were to go, but they were good games. :)

A walking human squid..hmm.
And its not in a pitch black labyrinth though is it :p therfore it isn't scary.
As Dante2014 pointed out, I'm suggesting that you would feel differently about the Majini if they were portrayed differently.
Also not verry good shooting in re5...you have to stand still to shoot or reload. :(
You have to do that in every RE game...even UC makes you stand in place whilst shooting...
I like the idea of setting it in a real life city, and my suggestion is ... Washington !
Setting it in a real place limits freedom and imagination.
You can't just say "Lets have a huge building here!" because there isn't a huge building there, etc, etc.
Yes yes, Bring us back the Old times RE but better grafics :) Also dont forget the horror feelings
Please explain how better graphics = better game?
My vision on Resident Evil 6
Creating an Alternate Universe for the RE titles would be terrible.
Everything you've suggested would null-and-void everything that takes place after the RC Incident. Infact...the only 2 games that would remain canon, going by your storyline, are RE0 and RE1. And even then, RE1 remains canon to a point...because you're suggesting no 'death' for Wesker.
Plus, any charm that Wesker has with the fans would be lost as soon as you take away his 'death-and'rebirth' and his gaining of 'super-powers.'
Lets face it, most people like Wesker because of his powers, on top of his villainous streak. Take away one of those, and you've lost half of his charm.
Keep both of them in? And you've got a game where you play as an over-powered individual facing off against creatures that couldn't stand a chance.
Dante2014 you have some point , but in some way i feel you protect the new system to mutch , im sure you have a part inside of you that dozent like at all some of the new changes.
Going by this reasoning, I'm certain that there is a part of you that absolutely loves RE4 & RE5.
I will happily admit that the lack of Puzzles in RE5 did bring my love of it down a notch, and the random placement of Tomb Raider style sections also brought me down a bit...but there are parts in Code Veronica that also brought me down.
But RE5 had a lot to offer. RE5 expanded on the Universe more than RE0 did, giving us background information on Umbrella, Wesker, the creation of the T-virus, and so many other things.

Im not sure about this idea but here goes...
**THIS WILL CONTAIN SOME SPOILERS OF RESIDENT EVIL 5**
The Umbrella/Tricell Africa Facility, the BSAA are there retrieving the experiments and research for containment, while they are there uknown B.O.Ws from unexplored parts of the Facility attack the retrieval teams and eventually infect and consume the remains of Kijuju and surrounding areas triggering a Biohazard....it eventually starts spreading throughout Europe.
Meanwhile an uknown Umbrella facilitys experiments start escaping from containment and infecting researchers causing another spread of a virus,at the same time the latest Tyrants and such have escaped and are on the loose.
The threat of another Biohazard is declared and BSAA are the only people that are capable of stopping it.
The Spencer Estate,Ozwell Spencer is revived due to a rare strand of virus in his body and becomes something similar and more powerful to James Marcus and starts his original goal for the perfect human race.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ive run out of ideas and I know its a bit far fetched but it could work, plus if it ended up like this it would contain T-virus & Las Plagas/Uroboros so it will be a mix of old & new B.O.Ws

With a bit of tweaking, I think that idea would actually work.
I wouldn't like to see Spencer come back like Marcus, I'd prefer to see a new bad guy...Possibly the Manager/Director of the hidden Umbrella Base? Cliche, but it's a staple of the series.
But most of everything else seems quite good. Like I said, a bit of tweaking and it could actually be good...

Yes, wouldnt you prefer a game that has much better graphics. Ok, it doesnt change the actual gameplay but im sure we'd all prefer playing a game with a lot better graphics..wouldn't we? :p

No Better graphics do not always make a better game!
Heavenly Sword Graphics are amazing but the game is very shallow in every other area.
Great Graphics are nice but I would choose gameplay and story beofor graphics any day.

RE2 would not be better if it looked nicer, as it is already good.
GTA3, in my opinion, is far better than GTA4...despite not looking as good.
Tomb Raiders 1, 2 and 3 all look terrible, but are far better than Legend or Underworld.
Graphics are nice, yes...but they do not make a game.
@thezombiemessia: There's a list of Umbrella executives that knew the existance of the African facility (you find it on the ship somewhere towards the end in RE5). Most of them are deceased but one is in prison and another one has 'location unkown' next to his name. The 'location unkown' guy can still form a threat and become the new villain.
Also in the epilogue scene of RE Outbreak you see a tower with scientist who are conducting a research on the remains of Raccoon City. That's at least what I think they're doing.
I'm just saying that there's still at least one possible villain roaming the earth, probably continuing Umbrella's experiments.

I'm still unsure on that particular file.
The way it was written suggests that the last lot of them were later found and "removed." Or that's how it seemed to me.
But I guess we'll never know.

I always liked that scene. The phonecall they recieve is, to me, really obviously Wesker. There are no Umbrella symbols anywhere in that scene, so it makes sense for it to be a rival company of sorts.
I'm just saying that there's still at least one possible villain roaming the earth, probably continuing Umbrella's experiments.
Yup. There's bound to be hundreds of "rogue" Umbrella employees all over the world that are annoyed at the downfall of their employer.
What about a Resident Evil Chronicles Pack from 1 to Veronica ??? only new graphics and everyone will be happy!!!!!!!!

yh if i had a choice of either a better game and not as good graphics or better graphics but not as good gameplay i'd rather go for better gameplay although graphics do make a game good. I mean, asassins creed, good graphics but not very good gameplay. Love to see a resident evil with both of these wonderful things :p
hey i'm new here and i thought of 3 new resident evil games :P
what about the remake of resident evil 1,2,3 in the style of resident evil 4 and 5.
in remake of 1 you play with rebecca en billy + the story line of wesker jill and chris ...., and in 2 with leon and claire, and in 3 with jill and carlos.
for playstion 3 and x-box.
and the last game is that you must help the hole world to elimineed the virus you can play with all the characters of the hole resident evil series in also the style of resident evil 4 and 5 :) the bigest game of all!
:) i hope you like this idee :P haha
greets mark ;)

So...really you only have 1 new idea?
hey i'm new here and i thought of 3 new resident evil games :P
Interesting, I sure hope its porting the original 3 games on to next gen consoles, because that would not really be an idea for RE6, would it?
what about the remake of resident evil 1,2,3 in the style of resident evil 4 and 5.
Oh dear...
in remake of 1 you play with rebecca en billy
Thats RE0...
+ the story line of wesker jill and chris ....,
Thats REmake...
and in 2 with leon and claire,
Thats RE2...
and in 3 with jill and carlos.
Thats RE3....
for playstion 3 and x-box.
Thats just wrong....
and the last game is that you must help the hole world to elimineed the virus
Thats similar to RE5, what with destroying the Uroboros and all...
you can play with all the characters of the hole resident evil series
About 60% of them are dead, so thats sorta hard.
in also the style of resident evil 4 and 5 :) the bigest game of all!
:) i hope you like this idee :P haha
Going by my better judgement, you must mean the RE5 control system over the RE4 system, but I can see what your trying to say...
To remake the original three games would require the levels to be remade since the prerendered backgrounds would prevent the 3D interactions of the new control scheme, so that would take a while...
Also, there are problems, such as making the zombies fast enough to kill you before you easily blow their head off as they slowly moan toward you, they'd have to be beefed up a bit, but this is still quite possible due to the hunters in the latter half of the game...
But I don't know about this, sure, I'd love a REmake (har har) of Resident Evil 2 and 3, but I sorta think the originals have a charm to them, to reinvent the control scheme and still capture the original B-movie feel would be extremely hard, they failed to do this with Umbrella Chronicles and Outbreak File 2 with the RPD scenario...
If they where to reinvent the story a bit, I'd be only able to live with fixing the plot holes, no other changes, a reimagining of the RPD as seen in Outbreak seems a bit too believable, which is unfortunate...
Overall, your ideas have already been done, all your truly doing is suggesting that they are brought back with the RE5 controls, which is not really accurate, they all use the same control scheme, it's only the camera, the ability to aim and switch weapons on the fly that makes it different...

I hope the return to the puzzle style gameplay of the first two.
although they could make the story take place all over the world in a bid to eradicate the terrorist bio-weapons.
like chapter 1 in mid east of the united states then chapter 2 in the amazon jungle.
it's the only possible plot that I can come up with, since umbrella went bust and wesker is no-more.....just had an idea what if ada become the main protagionist in the next one continuing weskers work..:spy:
Wesker was ultimate, and it is a shame he is dead.
Spencer is dead...
Trevor is dead...
Ashford is dead...
Marcus is dead...
There are no known bad guys left, which is why there might need to be a new set of characters...although, it can be said they need only bring in new antagonists whilst keeping the much loved protagonists such as Barry, Rebecca etc.
My idea is that "Note. Impossible probably, but just saying" An Umbrella scientist (ex-umbrella) escapes Raccoon before the "asplosion" and carries out with him a vial of the Tyrant Virus. Now here it becomes interesting. After creating the virus in vast quantities with a new team and a new company (Tricell???) they improve it passed the G-Virus stage and it becomes the (Super-Duper) Virus, which creates the zombies of previous Resident Evil games, but their skin doesn't rot or fall off, and perhaps Chris and the gang, incluyendo Rebecca, now probably 28ish, Jill, Chris, Claire, Barry etc. and they have to take on Tricell.
As we know, they are evil, and weren't dealt with completely after Resi 5, even with the death of Excella. After Degeneration we see Tricell cleaning up, and so now we have Tricell replacing Umbrella as the evil company meaning all is not lost.
Wesker was ultimate, and it is a shame he is dead.
Not really, his death was a vital part of the proceedings.
Spencer is dead...
Trevor is dead...
Ashford is dead...
Marcus is dead...
A common side-effect of messing with a skilled special-forces operative that doesn't want to die.

They don't have to bring back Barry or Rebecca, only mention where they are and what they did during the Racoon city outbreak, but yeah, we do need a new antagonist, Tricell wasn't destroyed, so I'm sure it's being run by a shady person somewhere...
My idea is that "Note. Impossible probably, but just saying" An Umbrella scientist (ex-umbrella) escapes Raccoon before the "asplosion" and carries out with him a vial of the Tyrant Virus. Now here it becomes interesting.
Wesker, Spencer and a few others already had this virus at this stage...
After creating the virus in vast quantities with a new team and a new company (Tricell???)
Already have it...
they improve it passed the G-Virus stage and it becomes the (Super-Duper) Virus,
The T and G-Virus are two completely different things, the G virus, whilst derived from the progenitor virus, is a more effective weapon due to causing rapid mutations and revitalising cells rather than animating the dead, whereas the T-virus requires specific individuals with certain genes to improve them, otherwise, they turn in to zombies.
which creates the zombies of previous Resident Evil games,
As stated above, they don't intentionally make zombies...
but their skin doesn't rot or fall off,
Well, that would be Majini and Ganados without the parasites, I guess.
and perhaps Chris and the gang, incluyendo Rebecca, now probably 28ish, Jill, Chris, Claire, Barry etc. and they have to take on Tricell.
Well, we know that Chris and Jill are more than likely going to take down Tricell, Claire has been described as not being a fighter (By Leon in Degeneration) so her role will be purely political, the rest haven't been explicitly seen since RE3. (I find it amusing that you haven't mentioned Sheva.)
As we know, they are evil, and weren't dealt with completely after Resi 5, even with the death of Excella. After Degeneration we see Tricell cleaning up, and so now we have Tricell replacing Umbrella as the evil company meaning all is not lost.
Well, yeah, thats obviously what they intended to portray Tricell as, they are pretty much the same as Umbrella but without the experience, even if Jill, Chris and Sheva where to start legal proceedings to take out Tricell, I'm sure they'd worm out of it and we'll get at least one other game with them as the main antagonist corportation.
I think the idea of killing off all of those characters is to start afresh with the series Teamovett, both in terms of gameplay and story, which is what I believe is hinted at when one of the producers mentioned a new beginning for the series.
good ider but i wont to see a remke of the enter serse so i can play it on the 360. but raccoon city will be the best plase as you got the city the umbralla labes and the manshon form the 1st game to go too. but raccon city was destord so they have to think a plot line for it to have it rebelt
I think that Resident Evil 6 needs to go back to its roots. If you think about it, Resident Evil 0 through to Code Veronica were great because it had what made Resident Evil so good, some scares and old-school gameplay. Resi 4 was a good game too, but their original idea, if you look up Resident Evil 3.5, you will see that it was much scarier and I think better. Resident Evil 5 was good too, just lacking in what Resident Evil needs...some frightening moments.

I doubt we'll see a remake outside of Wii, but I suppose if they made a substancial remake of 2 or 3 then we may see that on PS3 and Xbox360.

That made absolutely no sense to me whatsoever....
I think that Resident Evil 6 needs to go back to its roots.
A lot of people are saying this, however, I've found their move to be quite refreshing, unless I'm given a good enough reason, I'm still convinced that they should retain the old feel without necessarily going back to zombies.
If you think about it, Resident Evil 0 through to Code Veronica were great because it had what made Resident Evil so good, some scares and old-school gameplay.
Hmm, thats a matter of opinion, but I think they where creepy over scary.
CVX had typical horror movie elements, such as a mansion in a thunder strom and man-turned-monster type elements like Steve and Nosferatu, which where a lot more invasive of emotion since they where important people, as compared to the zombies and B.O.W.S which where nobody that anyone truly cared about.
RE0 does this too when Rebecca meets zombie Edward if she goes to the other end of the train instead of Billy, it's elements such as these that are really provacative, they should have done this with the parasites in my opinion.
The "old-school" gameplay hasn't changed at all, as I said before, they just changed the camera and the ability to aim. The old camera system that used pre-rendered backgrounds was stale when RE0 was released, people where annoyed by the lack of innovation involved, that they hadn't changed the system for nearly 5 years (at the time).
Resi 4 was a good game too, but their original idea, if you look up Resident Evil 3.5, you will see that it was much scarier and I think better. Resident Evil 5 was good too, just lacking in what Resident Evil needs...some frightening moments.
Distrubing and creepy, yes, I'm still not convinced that the old games where scary, they still make me jump, but this is a combination of tension and a "BOO! BUCKET OF BLOOD TO THE FACE!" sudden pop-up, if a kitten where to suddenly pop-up with a loud noise, you'd be "scared" of that too, it's just a natural reflex.
The only things that truly scare me from a game is both something within the bounds of possibly that is edging frightfully close and something invasive to mind mind and thoughts, everything else is either disgusting or creepy. I wouldn't say that Majini and Ganados are anyof those, but at least they could include both elements in future games, original designs for the Ganados had a cracked face with a parasite sticking out of it partially, stuff like that is certainly disgusting AND creepy, so it's quite possible to apply such things in future games.
Something like a Ganado/Majini running towards a locked door, stopping to think, then running around and using a door behind me would be something scary, as well as having Ganados/Majini stalking from one area to the next, these are things that can be implemented...
It is true that the previous games were "creepy", though I found them scary, maybe because the first time I played REmake was when I was 10, and when you were in the kitchen and the zombie came down the stairs, it actually freaked me out. :p
It was great when we had a lot of characters in the series, but, like in Resi 5, there are no allied characters that can die, unlike Edward from 0, Forest from 1 etc. I suppose you can class that it was poignant, but not exactly "creepy" when Luis died, but didn't turn.
Don't get me wrong, I like the over the shoulder gameplay from Resi 4 onwards, but in mine and a lot of other peoples' opinions, it was a bit too "Gears of Boreish" with the cover system that didn't exactly make the game better, especially when Chris has the Minigun; plus the fact ammo was almost limitless. Saying this, I did find myself worrying about ammon during the first run through, but the infinite ammo, though hiliarious made it all too easy.
I think it would be nice to adopt some new characters into the series, perhaps a group, like in Caliban Cove, when David, Karen, John and Steve joined 'Becca, as a few could turn and it could be creepy again. As it is, it would be a travesty if one of the main characters died that are around at the moment: Leon, Chris, Claire, Jill etc. We would slate Capcom if they killed any of them, thus I think some new characters are needed, but the characters must be likable and have a great back story.

How about Dave who got pulverized by a gigantic foot?
What is this Caliban Cove you speak of? Did I miss a great part of the story if the names the names David, Karen, John and Steve don't ring a bell? (unless you mean David King the plumber from Outbreak and Steve Burnside from CVX)
Sorry, it is an original story from S.D Perry. Not exactly canon, but it is has almost been accepted by some websites, like residentevil.wikia.com and is a story about Rebecca Chambers of the Raccoon S.T.A.R.S going to Caliban Cove to find info on Umbrella to prove they are evil. David from Exeter S.T.A.R.S and a lot of good new BOWs. They train the zombies to use weapons and act in groups called Trisquads.
An incredibly good story. She has written books on Resident Evil 0, 1, 2, 3, CV and two original stories, Caliban Cove and Underworld.

yh alot of the enemies have died over the past few resident evil's so we will have to get to know some more :D
Maybe even some enemy acting good like wesker did by founding the S.T.A.R.S. so we could get to know them a bit better :)
been away for a few days but came up with another small idea..i suppose.
kinda like outbreak or maybe a 3rd outbreak but use either new made up characters like in other ones or use main characters like chris..or sheva now. Maybe even a bad guy dunno but the outbreaks were pretty good although i just found it hard in a sence that i didn't kno were to go
Anyway just an idea which im sure would be quite good..to do another outbreak..raccoon city or somewere else? Dark or light? not fussed.

I own all the S.D. Perry books, and indeed both Caliban Cove and Underworld are good reads (though Caliban Cove makes em think of Murder She Wrote lol)
Regarding Killing off characters, i'd hate Chris, Jill, Claire etc to be killed off, but frankly they could impale Leon with a spike up his a** and i really wouldn't care less, i hate him as a character. He looks and acts like he should be jumping around on stage in a boyband

Since everyone's having so much trouble understanding...
"Good idea, but I want to see a remake of the entire series so I can them on the 360. (I assume the following is reffering to a new game) Raccoon City would be the best lace as you've got the city, the Umbrella labs and the mansion from the first game to go to. But Raccoon City was destroyed so they'd have to think of a plot line for it to have it rebuilt."
Hope that helps :p

This would be a very good game if it would i know i talk about this all the time but if you reach a certain amount of a level you could play as a main character.
