Well they certainly worked on it, so there's a chance that somebody managed to get a copy...but it was scrapped and never completed, so you'd be paying $2000 for something incomplete.
I'd say this probably isn't legit...

Yeah.Well the 3.5 would be worth the money if someone asks me.
He isn't asking for $2000 from one person, he set a date and a paypal account for people to donate to, if it hit $2000 by that date he would let it go on public release for everyone to play, if not he would refund all payments into that account. People can donate $1 or all the $2000.
The funny thing is this has been going for a while (month or two) and funds looked like they would not make it to 2000 in time, then some gaming site got word of the story this week and put a negative spin saying 'held hostage' and so forth and donations have jumped up and could be on target now.
I thought these were released years ago? Incomplete ROMs or whatever. I don't think I'd ever bother to play a Gameboy version of the original RE when you can play either the Playstation or DS version. Now 1.5 or 3.5 I'd LOVE to play! And I wouldn't mind giving the original RE0 a go, either.
