There Was some news about how Paul W.S Anderson has nearly finished a script for the fourth resident evil and is currently on draft two and it is believed casting will be made before any changes to the script and they will plan a director when milla jocovich signs on.
What ive heard is that the resident evil movies are fineshed and they wont make anymore but then again i might be wrong

The films make a lot of money, so I find it hard to believe that Sony wouldn't want to continue the franchise.
From what Mr Anderson said he is working on a 4th movie but I beleive it is at a early stage.
If it's anything like the last one i am not botherd.

Indeed.
Anderson was writing the script, and was in talks with Sony, but there was nothing confirmed or solid about a release or even a set date to start making the film.
It is unsure what will happen with this movie.
I always thought there was going to be a fourth movie. If not, then Extinction got a too open ending. :(

The open ending was designed for 2 purposes:
1 - The audience can make their mind up about what happens.
2 - If the film was really sucessful, Sony could get Anderson or another writer to continue the series without any difficulty.
If they do decide to do another movie, then i hope they get a new actor to take on the role of Wesker. The actor who played him in RE extinction was rubbish.

Where Wesker is concerned, surely I can't be the only person that would find Adrian Pasdar of Heroes fame (he plays Nathan Petrelli) suitable for the role. He's tall, has the slicked-back hair and has that chiseled look. He would be perfect for me.
Adrian Pasdar is indeed a good actor and I love Heroes, but I don't think the role of Wesker suits him.

A new movie? Oh noes... Even the actors in Resident Evil 1 where better :shocked:! At least Wesker looked more like Wesker! Even the CGI Movie was better IMHO!
Why do they make such movies? It's the same with Dragonball, Metal Gear and DiCaprio's Akira :shocked:! The Resident Evil Movies wouldn't be that bad if they had nothing to do with Resident Evil! They could use another name or stick more to the games!
A fourth movie? you mean after Extinction? there will be like 500 Alices on action? (if you remenber the final scene from the Extinction) lol

Sums it up well for me.
I can't wait for the 4th movie, personally. I love zombie movies and these certainly tick that box. I feel privileged to enjoy them.
Judging by the end of the third film, the fourth one is probably going to be very, very silly.

Though it is still questionable whether they'd use the Alice Army storyline.
There were rumours of it, but nothing substantial.
When I get back from town I'll have a sift for the article on it.

I think it depends how they show the many Alices. If they only show one of them doing her job (the original maybe), and all the other Alices do their jobs without it being shown, then it would be fine. If it shows one other Alice, then it wouldn't be too bad.
I just hope that they don't go too much into the whole multi-Alice thing.

They could take another route, we still don't know what happened to Jill, and there are rumors that Leon will be in it, but it apparently contradicts the fact that he was Jill's partner (WHAUIHTANAOFINAONGAON, Sorry) and he was killed, that being the reason why she left S.T.A.R.S, but it's unknown if this is actually canon or a promotion gone bad (my guess being the latter), but given the emphasis on the clones and Umbrella's board at the end, it's more than likely going to be a war between the two, with them sending various nasties and the Alices going against them.

You know that it's going to more than likely happen, given they will probably target the average RE/zombie/horror fan of around late teens to early thirties and that sex sells, so filling it up with women will probably be their course of action. But I agree that the outcome will depend on how they portray the Alices, I mean, what if during the fight, Isaac infected Alice with a potent T-Virus strain and she ends up making an army of monsters? that'd be an interesting three way fight between survivors, zombies and monster alices, although it's probably going to be the Alices acting like a military force or something, eughs......

If we go by what the book of Extinction says, then Jill is in Boston (I think), and has set up a kind of safe haven for survivors.
It'd create a mildly boring movie if, in the end, we just watched Jill either keep the place safe...or loose it.
I'd say the best bet, even though I'm not a big fan of the films, would be for Anderson to follow Alice and her Clone Army to Japan.
In my opinion the only good RE movie was the first one. And it wasn't "good" as in awesome or anything, but it was alright. The others were just not the same, although the CGI Degeneration was pretty cool.

They should get quentin tarantino who directed 'kill bill' to come in and start making this movie a real horror. right now its just people riding in a bus running away from crows.:rolleyes:

As good a Director as Tarantino is, he wouldn't be able to make a good movie based on a game.
He's too much of an independent Director, so stifling originality with a set Universe just wouldn't work with him.
