Can we please have a patch to fix the awful controls in Resident Evil 4 HD on the Xbox 360? Both of the available control schemes are horrible! I know this is how it was when the game was first released but i would have thought a more user friendly scheme would have been put into the game as it is a HD release. I love the game but the controls just take away the fun for me. Not being able to strafe left and right with the left stick is bad enough but aiming with the left stick too? Please, please, pleeeeease can you fix this?!?

The controls with Type II aren't really that much different from RE5. Just minus a control stick. Once you get used to it, I think it's fine.

I have to agree with Jaffa. I'm happy with the Control Type 2 but they should have at least incorporated the controls from resident evil 5 into this remake.

I've just spent a couple of hours playing this with control type II. Whilst it is somewhat playable it is hugely frustrating and awkward. Using the left stick for both moving back and forth and turning round instead of moving side to side is quite possibly the most frustrating control method i have ever used. I don't think i'm going to play this again unless they patch it as my head may explode.

it depends on which controll type you use on resi 5, aiming with left stick is not great but you can easily get used to it

The games aren't unplayable in the way they are. The controls are, I assume, exactly the same as they were for the GameCube or PS2 releases.

They aren't the same as RE5s controls because RE5 was released afterwards...it was an improvement upon the controls, but not a neccessary addition to a remastering of an old game...it'd be like asking Capcom to patch RE1, 2 and 3 on the PSN so they controlled like RE5.

Once you get your head around the controls, it's all fairly simple...they'll be no different if you pick up one of the original copies.

Well almose exact, the activity function which has been usualy on x has been set on the square and same goes for CV,well i liked the classic button layer,it is a bit strange to use square instead of x.

I have it on PS3, it really is unchanged from the original, the problem being that RE5 controls where tweaked slightly, so it is somewhat off putting to undo the changes if you've played RE5 first or not played RE4 on an Xbox360 controller.

But I never really do understand complaints regarding controls, unless its something so inconvenient that its game breaking (like nigh impossible button combinations), it just takes some getting used to...
