Okay so my heart skipped a beat when i saw this, apparently Ono-san had a big neon sign at comicon up saying "Darkstalkers is not dead!", he hinted at a sequal and asked fans of the series to hold up $10 and $20 bills to show their support which he then took pictures of to show to Capcoms management team. After all of the horror surrounding Megaman this week its wonderfull to have some good news about some old friends...

Agreed! Im not sure if they will go for a Streetfighter IV esq type of game where its all 3d or if we will have a cell shaded 2d thing more like Blazblue. I personally reckon it will be a 3d sprite based game but i guess its all up in the air just now until well after Streetfighter X Tekken has shipped.

Jepp, 2D or 3D - does it really matter? Darkstalkers is better than Blaz Blue (just my opinion) and I´d love to see it with High Res Sprites again.
3D would be nice too. The Darkstalkers appearance in Marvel vs Capcom 3 looked just perfect to me. But if they do it in 3D, please use the Street Fighter IV system. ;)
If they use 2d I'm sure Morrigans sprites will be unchainged ^^
I would like to see more Darkstalker-characters in a 3d-version.

Im just super stoked that they are even considering making a new game in the series, its one of my all time top fighters and its not had a lot of love recently. 2D or 3D, i will get it regardless.
Ono will be at the upcoming gamescom in Germany. If I´ll have the chance to talk to him, I´m gonna talk about DARKSTALKERS, that´s for sure.
I think the first step for a comeback of Darkstalkers is a PSN and Xbox Live Version of Darkstalkers. I would support it. I´m excited! ;)

I would definetly support a live/psn enabled Darkstalkers, i loved playing that game on Saturn, Dreamcast, PSP and finally getting to play with online enabled would be amazing!
