Not one to spread rumours but check out the link for what looks like a sneak peak at the Resident Evil 6 logo that Capcom were showing at the Comic Con, there is a date underneath it, 15th September which is the date of the TGS this year,
Hope this true, the logo looks pretty creepy.

The logo reminds me of that of RE4 and RE5, only it's a 6 now. :chin:
I'm really looking forward to finding out who, what, when and why the game is about, so it's nice to have a date to look forward to. :)

Wow this year?Yeah the logo looks creepy,as it should be:D
It gives me the feeling that its gona be something in the theme of the older games.

Well Capcom have said on several occassions that RE: 6 would be a full reboot of the franchise, so hopefully we are looking at a return to the series root Survival Horror experience.
I'd always hoped that the series would return to Raccoon City, but after the nuclear attack, would be great to play BSAA agents stalking the ruins of an apocalyptic RC looking for left overs of the T Virus

It is mentioned to be a different type of "reboot" not a restart of the series, but a reboot like RE4 was toward the old games from what i remember in an interview.

Yeah I wouldn't like a restart at all.
tbh there are plenty of established RE Characters who could get another shot at being in the lead, like Barry, Rebecca, Carlos, what have they been upto since the BSAA was formed and Bio-Terroism became a major worry for the world?
As far as actual game mechanics are concerned, I'm not really bothered, for me RE is RE wether you run and gun or stop and aim.
RE needs to be character driven with a fantastic and creepy atmosphere thats what I'd like in the re-boot.

So are they indicating that it will be an outsource project again?
Oh! What? I doubt it'll be out this year, but if it is EXCELLENT! I think it'll be more the date perhaps for the announcement of the game and maybe a first show trailer. If it is out this year that'll be GREAT!

I think its the annoucment date,i doubt that its the relase date cuz its to early and not to forget there are other RE games on way so it would be a bit of to much games relased in one year. But if it comes out then yeah that would be still nice:D

I don't believe this. Looks like it's made by amateurs.

Yeah I think its just the official announcement date, hopefully we'll get treated to a teaser trailer or something.

LOL at people thinking it's a release date. It will be the announcement of the game officially, unless Capcom do it earlier now that the cat is out of the bag. Still, TGS should be big if this is going to have presence.
About bloody time we got news on it.
I find it strange that is says resident evil and not biohazard.
Even without the "leaked" logo, i reckon most people are expecting some announcement or news each year during the TGS, regrading the mainline series.

It's not called Biohazard in the US, which would explain why the logo would be shown as Resident Evil. Comic-Con is in the US afterall. At TGS, they would use the Biohazard logo.
But yes, before Keiji Inafune left Capcom, he said Resident Evil 6 news will be revealed "soon". It's been nearly a year, so it's due.

I don't expect any kind of RE6-Related events, news, announcement etc..
Capcom should keep our attention focused on RE:ORC.

So we cant look forward to more than one RE title?

You can look forward to more than two or even 3 resident evil titles. That's not a very good practice for companies though.

re6 logo? thats encouraging, lets hope we are all still young enough to enjoy it coz with capcoms track record it could be 2015 before we get it. BUT THEY DO MAKE THE VERY BEST GAMES!!!
This return to classic survival horror does kind of worry me. Returning to a game's roots is sometimes a horrendous mistake, but I have faith in Capcom to pull it off.
Also, original characters, please. Old favourites as support roles.

I just searched the Internet, apparently RoH is not the only site talking about this rumor. Well, we can expect some news at TGS. So, Yes we can look forward to more than one Resi game, specially if one of them is far from being released. In my previous post, i meant it's not good practice to release two important RE games soon after each other, which isn't the case here at all.
I predict a 2014-early 2015 release date for RE6.

RE: ORC 2011
RE: Revelations 2012
RE: ORC is a Slant Six Games title, or co-operated with them. It is more like a spin off, nothing to do with the main series. The kind of next in the line is Revelations, by their internal studios (?).
Honestly if you check capcom's latest track record, with what they have or are doing with MvC3 and SSF4 series, don't be surprise that we will get more RE titles, or zombie games by other studios, with RE or DR slapped on it.

I remember reading that Capcom stated they wanted to release games on more regular basis, this is also when they said that they would be outsourcing their original IP's to western devs and then concentrating on new IP's being developed in house in Japan.
We are already seeing a lot of all of this, with DR 2, RE: ORC being done in the west and then new stuff like Asura's Wrath and Dragons Dogma being done in Japan.
I wonder if RE 6 will be handled by a western dev then?

Nah i doubt it,when it comes to numbered games of the series Japan will have the main work on it while other regions may have a small part in it.

I dunno,
Dead Rising 2 was done that way.
If ORC sells by the bucket load they might consider it.
Dont really mind myself, as long as its good I dont care who the devs are

Hmm true, maybe like Resident evil Revelations for 3ds where the gameplay is the style of RE4 but actually has that eerie sense of suspense and thriller. Something which will always put you on the edge, well that's what I'd like anyway.

Cool, the game details coming on September 15th!!
I hope this is true, i'm very curious :chin:
Logo is very boring compared to other resident evil logo's...

Yeah, i would love to play a RE game developed by any of these developers:
id Software
Valve
io Interactive

Yeah I agree, I would love to see what Viseral (Dead Space Devs) could do with the Resident Evil franchise.
I was so impressed with Dead Rising 2, I was a massive fan of the first one and waited with baited breath for the second and I wasn't dissapointed and what I'm seeing from Slant Six so far looks very impressive.
Cant Wait!

No offence but they aren't very good at making resident evils. They are an average company.

Agreed. I'm not disappointed so far,.

Well, they haven't made one so far so.....
tbh, when it was announced Slant Six were making a RE everybody worried it wouldn't be any good because of the company's track record making Socom games that bombed pretty bad.
So if Slant Six, who have never made a horror game before can make something like RE look good, I dont see a reason why the Dead Space devs couldn't do an equal or better job.
It depends on how much you like Dead Space I think, personally I love them.

Well, they haven't made one so far so..... Well, they tried to make a RE-like game and they failed miserably. I just can't see why some people claim that "dead space is a RE killer!" or "This game revived the survivor horror genre while RE5 totally killed the genre!". DS is an average action shooter.
So if Slant Six, who have never made a horror game before can make something like RE look good, I dont see a reason why the Dead Space devs couldn't do an equal or better job.
Main games in the series should be developed by capcom themselves, imo. Or at least not by some noob studios. That's why i mentioned valve and id, because they are competent developers and won't destroy the franchise.

Its all down to personal opinion, I picked up DS with zero expectation, I literally did not know what to expect and I was really impressed with it, for me it took a lot from Resident Evil 4 and made it much more creepier but thats just me.
DS2 was a little too focused on action for my liking but I still enjoyed it, same with RE 5 tbh.
I do agree that DS is NOT a Resident Evil killer or a true Survival Horror game but it took a lot of what came before, added to and refined it and became its own beast in the process.
But anyhoo, lets get back on topic
