It may be small comfort to those of us who where really looking forward to the title, but Destructoid have reported that on his blog today Inafune-san has apologised to all of the Megaman fans for the cancellation of the project despite not even being involved in the decision.

Im sure this is something that being the father of Megaman he feels disapointed on a personal level, i suppose when he left he gave up control of the character and universe he helped create and seeing it put to death effects him more than any of us.

So just remember, no matter how upset you are about this game, this man is no doubt a lot more depressed that you are.

I dont know why but reading over what Inafune-san said again, kind of makes me feel a little better about the whole thing. Im not happy about the cancellations and i dont hold him responsible, but somehow his words carry some comfort with them.
