Would you like Resident Evil 6 story to be a reboot or a continuity of the current series?

I see no difference to be perfectly honest...
With the ending of RE5, it leads on to the same thing, either way.
If it keeps coming in with the original characters, or it reboots the series, it'll still be completely different to what we've had previously.

Nah i want to see a reboot.It would be interesting to see where capcom can go with the franchise if they reboot it.Of coarse if they set it 50 years in the future from resident evil 5.They should at least ad files in the game about the past outbreaks just for long running fans and keep some familur monsters 2
I'd prefer it stay with its current characters but with wesker and spencer being dead now, there's not really any antagonists anymore, so i think they'll have to reboot the series

To be honest, I think they've dragged some of the characters on for way too long, I think it would be tiresome to see the same cast over and over but with varying scenarios and apparent "Super Training". All they really have to do now is have a sense of closure for the remaining characters and I will be content with the new ones that show up, im not saying that I don't want to see or hear from the original characters again, just in a different way.
I'm hoping that it returns to it's horror roots rather than another action based game, while the last two games where excellent to play but not very scary, if they manage to implement horror I will be content with whatever the story may be.

I'm so sick'n'tired of those zombies, gannados. Capcom should reinvent the term "fear. If the Resi 0,1,2 were a bit scared, than Re4&5 - no way! The first drafts of RE4 were spooky. This haunted mansion, kids' crying, ghosts, etc. It's scares much more than gannados.

Uhm, in chapter 5-2 there is a list of people who know about the African facility. Most of them are deceased, but one is held captive and one says 'location unknown'. I always saw that as a major hint that there is still at least one major antagonist who can destroy the world with some kind of deadly virus. :spy:
There is no doubt about it if you move on say in the future you lose al the cool charachters like chris, leon jill and ada
maybe in the future(say another 10 years) make it in the fture with new charachters but still keep the old charachters but there not playable

I would not want capcom to get rid of the characters in awhile seeing that the heros are good ( Chris,Leon,Jill,Claire) and the Villians (Albert Wesker, Oswell E. Spencer) are just awesome.

the old characters are great keep them! it's just; give the story a big turn it would be great :D

resident evil 6 must be more longeure than RE5 . i think a cooperation leon / chris can be good . but the story ... hard . in RE1 they can't walk on stairs !!!! in RE 4 RE 5 it's not the same story anymore . they ride a bike man !!!!! drive boat !!!! ^^ . year after year Resident evil become a beat them all i think . so the story of RE 6 will be hard i think ( but i am not a producter ^^ ) ( sorry for my english i am french ) good play !!
I agree that the old characters have to be kept and maybe introducing new characters. There are enough protagonists too make like a dozen stories, but the antagonists are scarce.
Here is where I refer to my previous post that there are still at least two possible antagonists alive.
From what I understood of the epilogue in RE Outbreak, there was an experiment in the ruins of Raccoon City. They were using the T-virus, but that is like all I know about it.
My Story of Resident Evil 6...
I think the story should go like this: Characters (Leon S. Kennedy, Cris Redfield, Claire Redfield, Albert Wesker, Jill Walentine, Ada Wong, Barry Burton) are invited to see what is happening in the forest and on farm ... Share them in the 2 groups (one dvd one story, the second DVD second story) ... In the forest face many obstacles in entering the basement and the basement are the way to a large laboratory, then enter the dark house completely dark (worse than mansion) manage to get out but at the exit waiting for terible things ... It is located on the other side of forest, which is full zombies, and other creatures (in game one of characters dies) ... The second story is on farm. When they come the locate zombies but get in the horse house in which a passage in the house .. small house full of creatures take them in the middle of a forest where they come to the grave (catacombs), and are in the same laboratory but there is no one, coming in basement full of zombies, go out in the forest and met scary monster ...They kill him, but understand that it was their friend who has mysteriously disappeared long ago... when exit from the forest they found dead body (one of characters from first story) and come out from the forests, together with others and move with the body of dead friend.. They come in the city in which again separated and the appearance of a story that you (the third DVD) after a few parts move from one story to another... you control one and second team... In the city are zombies and wonders.. They come from the city but they have a friend less ... they return back and ingrave friends (one from the first one from the second story) and thats end of this story...
