That's a different story from what we usually get.

I remember always being told that it was named after some words from a file found in Sweet Home (pretty much the Ancestor of the RE series), which mentioned "...in this house of Residing Evil..."

I guess the person that suggested it may have gotten it from that particular file, but we'll never really know.

it was named because of the tyrant living there, so you get "Resident Evil"
