View Full Version : Mercs 3D release date.
Does this game have an official release date yet?
I look on Amazon US and Amazon UK and the US says June 28th and UK August 26th.
Please tell me the US will not get this 2 month before Europe even if these dates are not very accurate, it completely ruins the experience for any serious players if they get it months ahead like this.
I assume it's the 28th, or so does the recent "War on Horror" on the official Facebook page say.
I thought the European release was the 17th, but I guess we can scratch that.
I didn't see they posted that video on the Euro blog too until just now.
I really hope that means we get the same date then, annoying when stuff gets posted not for us.

As far as I can find, no official date has been revealed for Europe yet.
June 2nd, 2011 for Japan, June 28th, 2011 for North America. Though release dates are always subject to change.
I'm not sure how a 2 month head-start would ruin the experience for players though? I get that it's competitive, and can be played online, but having 2 months more to play the game is no different from somebody buying the game 2 months after release.
If you face somebody that is better at the game, it's rarely because they've had it for longer.
And, as Leonie says, please think before posting. Red-Dragon's post was hardly off-topic.

I made a topic specifically about the release date, not for discussing Mercs characters, there are probably existing threads for that already. I asked nicely not to derail also.

However, the date seems to have been set back, but no specific date has been announced. Seems like Nintendo is in charge for the European distribution of the game, in which case they will probably put Zelda, because it's their own. I hope the postponed release date means some last-minute additions, you never know. :)

We can but hope that it's released sooner rather than later.
Game Mania, a Belgian retail in video games, has changed the release date for Mercenaries 3D from 06/2011 to 07/2011. Since they are quite reliable when it comes to release dates, we can assume the European release will be in July. (http://www.gamemania.be/Default.aspx?tabid=87&gmgame=25068)

Thats not the official word from Capcom...
Also, as the first RE game on 3DS, its bound to sell a high amount, as some people will buy 3DS' just to play it and the Revelations demo, not to mention it being one of the earliest games of a reputable franchise and caliber. I hope it does well, as it'll expand 3DS support.
Apologies for the digression, I too want an official date, I hope we get an estimate from an official source as soon as next week.

I'm going To buy Xbox360,PS3 and a 3DS! but wait my PC Beats these 3 So why afford them? only to support Capcom? i already do it on steam...i just Got mad Because They are lazy staff and That's all look how many fans have asked a RE to the wii what have they done? Rail-guns... and for this little [No swearing] Gets the better RE not one but two! versions that i wished on wii. i recently read an article about capcom and PSN being down they statement that where loosing lot's of cash and that means something and it's not good and i Think they deserve it for what have done to some fans :yell: :wave:

- I have all 3 consoles, I have a 3DS, a DS Lite, a PSP Lite, and a gaming PC. I also have all of the last generation consoles, including handhelds. I have all of these because I've worked hard to get them.
I didn't buy all of these just to support Capcom, as that would be ridiculous...believe it or not, other games companies do exist and they do release games for other consoles.
If you are that unhappy over Capcom releasing games on other platforms (as is their right, due to being a business and doing market research), then you either refuse to buy anymore Capcom games or you head out and buy other consoles. Don't just buy the consoles for Capcom games, buy them for other games and enjoy the fact that you can also play Capcom games.
- You mention that you have a PC that outdoes the consoles. RE4 and RE5 are available on the PC...buy them.
- As I have said, you right to have an opinion is fine. But what you are currently doing is rude and disruptive.
You consistently derail threads on this forum whenever they are about a game that you want, but can't have. If you genuinely have a complaint and want Capcom to listen to it, then send them an e-mail (there are contact details HERE (http://www.capcom-europe.com/contact)) and write out your complaints.
Otherwise, all you are doing is derailing threads, insulting people, and coming across as a Troll. If you want your voice to be heard, then try and earn the right to be heard instead of flailing around like a toddler.

Woekerini was right when he said that Ninty are dealing with the publishing in Europe.
So, sadly, at the moment an official release date doesn't exist.
I'd suspect that anybody that claims a release date at the moment is making educated guesses or wishful thinking until we get official confirmation from Ninty&Capcom.
Gah, this sort of rubbish is why people will start using homebrew to pirate, no release date and cannot import because of region lock (which homebrew will make a non issue).
[Just incase anybody sees this and thinks it's something to report, don't worry. DeadMeat isn't saying that pirating is a good thing, a legal thing, or the right thing to do. Although treading a thin line, it doesn't quite crossover to advertising the use of pirated software. TZM]
