Do you not see it as mildly unfair that the winners of the BSAA competition have never posted on the forums though?

I don't - the competition is not part of the forum, it's part of the Capcom Europe website - there is not requirement to be an active forum member to take part in the competitions, and that is as it should be.
I don't find it unfair either, there has to be a level of freedom, I don't believe in forcing people to be active in the forums. There are some gamers who never post but don't miss a first-to-play event and show a lot of dedication. I still do forum only giveaways sessions as well, let's not forget that.
Hmm, I think what TZM is trying to say is, that this dedication is not ever really shown, most users of the forum show their dedication by posting and expressing their interest for Capcom, and it's somewhat disheartening to have someone who doesn't seemingly show any interest jump in and take the goodies.
Now, there's no denying that such a person is dedicated in their own way, they may not be posting on the forums for numerous reasons and still have a great deal of loyality, the real problem here is, they seemingly do not show it.
I think we should have more competitions like the Street Fighter IV Artwork story contest, that way, people at least show that they are committed enough to produce something, *anything* and still have a fair chance of entry, for something prestigious as limited edition signed artwork, I think it deserves something more than a multiple choice question that a multitude of people sign up to simply answer.
Tenebra's right, they are various ways to show your dedication. Just because they do not post here dosn't mean these people don't exsist. If your buying Capcoms games and products you are showing your support to Capcom.
We have had loads of Forum only comps it good to see that other people who do support Capcom in other ways get a chance to win somthing as not every one likes to use forums so they should not be excluded :D
I'm trying to balance things as much as possible - Captivate and other promotions have been exclusive to the forum but as I said I don't think it'd be fair to force people to post if they don't want to.
