Yes, and they said something like this: "It can render 6000 characters on screen even with more players"
So what I get from it is this: Make the game AT LEAST 2 Players Coop that is playable through LAN, NET and maybe Splitscreen (the latter would be nice too!!!)

Not deathmatch, not Team Deathmatch, not Capture the dunnowhat, but COOP! Cooperative mode! It would make MORE gamers happier, in my place 3 players already decided that if this won't have multiplayer then they won't buy it (just because of this). I know 3 people is not 300.000, but there are many more players out there who are disappointed with this...
I think pretty much everyone wants to see some type of online multiplayer. Surely nearly every game that comes out now should have some multiplayer option?

Yes, it SHOULD have Coop! Not a requirement to play the game (so you can finish it by playing it yourself), but if you include Coop with 2 or maybe more guys, it would rock!
Have you played Saints Row 2 in Coop? It's awesome! You can go everywhere, you can do everything you want, why not put this into a zombie apocalypse game like Dead Rising 2? Every zombie-killing fan wants a decent Coop game with this style, you'll just make more people happier!!!
I think a co-op mode will happen it just has not been anounced yet.
Could be wrong but i doubt the game will be out this year.
