Well, I've been reading these forums for quite some time now and what Ive noticed is that people never stop complaining. Why do they whine? I just dont get it, a few months ago everyone knew what they were getting and couldnt wait, now theyre all complaining about it? Is it me or do parents overspoil kids these days?
RE5 is a great game and I have been a fan back in the 1996 and I love it even more now, cause atleast now it has replay value and not the same stuff everytime you play, including enemy positions.
And whats with the whole RE5 is not RE issue? Most people dont even know WHY it is not RE. Some even say they dont...
RE5 was as RE as it can get, the only difference was that in order to keep up with the times and make a challenging game with no limited cameras, they needed the zombies to actually do more than just freaking stand there and hope you pass by so they can bite you.
And seriously, if Capcom made a "real RE" game, people would STILL complain, what the hell?
It just pisses me off how much hard work Capcom have put into the game and nobody even thanks them, RE5 is a great game and is the best RE game ever and thats a fact, it has the best graphics, its most challenging and has the best story.
RE1 was never scary, why should 5 be?
Also, about the DLC, why is everyone crying about it? ITS JUST 5 BUCKS, you cant even get a decent meal for it these days.
We should have a nagging limit here, 2 whines a month or something, that way people can actually spend that time playing RE5 instead of complaining.
And if you think I am complaining about people complaining, then youre wrong, I just want to know why people are never happy with great things that are made for them, like, RE5.
:) first of all capcom did a ultimate job they did make the game better than number four okay 4 was a revolution and 5 is an ultimate evolution, they also ask 400MS points for dlc which I buy absolutly it costs money for my company so with pleasure Takeuchi-san! and maybe a hint call Inafune-san and Mikami-san back for number 6 please.

I completely agree with you. Every one that complains about this game, is mainly those 10-16 years old kids that, have never played a Resi game before 4, or this one and dont really know what it is like.
I lmao when I heard people complaining about that they couldnt run a and shoot. All these kids love non realistic games like crappy Call Of Duty/Gears (Which is only shottys now) and Halo/Killzine etc. why on earth would you run around jumping and sniping peoples heads. Or spaying bullets from the hip, which tends to be all they do on those noob games. It take s no skill for them to play.
I heard in an Interview that they didnt want to move and shoot because it wasnt resi evil, and thank god they didnt.
Another thing that bothered me was the fact that someone said that it doesnt feel like a resi game because it didnt have an attache case to pit all your items, but is it me but I dont remember an attache case in the orignials, all they had was 6 or 8 slots, and a chest.
The only thing that bothers me is that they have forgot about the blue herb, which imo was a brill idea to survival horror, since you had to keep one just incase you got poisned. Which doesnt happen any more.
Other than that graet game. Just need more characters in Merc mode.
RE5 is the best RE game ever and thats a factLost all respect for, and stopped reading your post as soon as I read that.
Who are you to tell the so-called 'whiners' (Also known as fans, to the less vitriolic.) that that is a fact?
It's a great product in YOUR OPINION, and while you're entitled to that opinion, you are NOT entitled to shove it down people's throats in a self-riteous tosspot topic like this. You can disagree, by all means throw in your ten pence on the matter, but the second you start to sweepingly insult (It's the tone and how you're using language more than actual insulting terms that's the problem here; though you have called everyone 'Children' even though the game is an 18 and the majority of the paying customers on this site are old enough to decide what THEY class as being worth their cash, not you.) half the forum, then you're going to get a backlash- and backlash you will get sir.
What is a fact is that attacking people whose opinion differs from yours both does you no favours AND makes you out to be just as bad as the people you're calling out.
I'm 23 years old sir, old enough to vote, old enough to drive, and old enough to know what I like, and most importantly, old enough to know what is prudent and what is ludicrous in terms of spending my money. Kojima Productions spent 4 years making Metal Gear Solid 4, and it is probably the best (In terms of technicality, and as an experience) game of this generation. It was a sequel. Why was it so good? Because the people making it didn't make a mass market pleasing, game changing, braindead, unintuitive, cackhanded, inept series of changes to the style and genre they helped define; they ENHANCED the genre with forward thinking ideas, and tweaks to the gameplay that ENHANCED the experience; not CHANGED it. Just one example, but it's an example of continuing a franchise that was powered by the fans FOR the fans, and yet still having enough market appeal to succeed. What I'm trying to get across, is that there are companies making an effort to improve the QUALITY of the experience, not just how it looks, and those are the companies the consumers will back. I payed for that game, despite not owning the console yet (Borrowed one to play the game.) because it is made with quality. The point of this particular paragraph; it is QUALITY that I and others like me wish to pay for; not rehashes or poor quality copies of other games. If I wanted Gears 2, I'd have bought Gears 2; I don't need Capcom making a simpler, less intuitive variant with half the game modes and less multiplayer simply to sell to casual gamers and Halo fans. (Generalisation, yep, I'm taking a leaf from your playbook.)
When it comes down to it, we're all customers- Capcom are selling us a product- quite a high value product at £40 a pop without DLC, and well over £300 if you are a fan of the series and have already been buying into their products. It's alot of money to put in, let alone an emotional investment if you're a longtime fan. It is your right, as a consumer, to make it heard if (a) product/products are unsatisfactory; and your right as a fan to have a problem when something you have invested time/money and yourself into is changed irreparably into something else entirely. (That you may not necesarily like, or something it is not as good as AKA; Gears of War 2, the game on which much of the tone and controls are based.)
Such changes can only serve to infuriate long term fans, but it has also annoyed the gaming community at large thanks to its insistance on copying Gears 2 without some of the more key elements to the controls. Without going into detail, because it'll be spoiler-rife; there is a 'Certain section' around chapters 5 and 6 where you need to utilise this game's cover system. The fact that the cover system is unavailable earlier in the game is indicative of the direction they take towards the end. That's all I can say apart from that I found said system to be hideously contrived and ridiculously rushed for a game that's been in Development in excess of four years.
Also on that point I've just raised, when it takes four years of development time to create a game; you DO NOT expect said game to be essentially a reskin of the previous title, with added co-op and cover- it's the 'Treyarch School of Video-game Design' that is subscribed to here. At least in Trearch's defense they're able to make their games in two years.
If you were to walk into a clothing store and bought a pair of shoes for £40, only to find that the sole was made out of plastic and the shoes weren't made out of leather; you'd be angry about it- especially if the shoes in question were sealed in a box and you were shown pictures that didn't convey the flaws, only the positives. If it says on the box language that suggests that it's leather, but when you take it out of the box it's suede or pu-leather.....you'd be annoyed right? If they used a tagline like 'The all purpose running shoe!' only to find that the product was in fact a pair of flat-soled golf shoes; you'd demand a refund.
Resident Evil 5 is to some people on here, myself included, said misadvertised mess of a product.
Would you be annoyed if something was significantly not as described, yet you paid for it, and can't get a refund? You'd probably be as annoyed as those Resident Evil fans that were expecting something possibly in the Survival Horror genre, or at the very least something that was at least verging on the lines of horror; only to find a full action game with a thin veil of horror that attempts to fool the customer into thinking it is a Resident Evil title, but in actual fact cannot disguise the fact that the game is an action adventure third person shooter, closer akin to Gear of War 2 than any Resident Evil title, including 4, which actually at least made an effort to convey some facets of conventional and atmospheric horror. Or those 'on the fence' players who bought into the game on that marketing tagline 'Fear you can't Forget' thinking it was a horror game or something on those lines. OR if you got into Resi on 4, read the interviews, bought the hype, were told by Capcom 'Yes, this is the endgame, this is epic, this is awesome' only to find you're playing the same game without the horror four years on, you'd be annoyed if you thought it would be bigger, better and more badass due to the marketing speak.
Some of us can't use the excuse that it's not as described, because some of us have been on the ball from day one, and knew it was RE4 reskinned and with a lightly different control scheme, but damnit we bought it anyway- WHY? Out of loyalty to the franchise. Capcom knew this would happen, based on the strength of sales of spin-off titles and other merchandising, and so taken the choice to change the game to 'Westernise' it in order to appeal to a more mass market. It paid off with RE4, but they've been found out it seems with RE5. That said, it doesn't take away from the fact that they already have our money, wether we loved it or hated it- and that's what they care about- the sales, pleasing the shareholders; if the people actually LIKE the product, well that's nice and all, but they'd rather drum up sales through mass market tactics.
You don't seem to make an effort to understand why people are Edit Spike Language, and instead are bashing them because their point of view doesn't meet with yours. The reason I come to this conclusion is because of the way you've worded your post, and if you think differently, then it's up to you to show that in your wording.
At the end of the day people are entiteld to their opinon, some like some don't.
If people want to complain fine and if people don't thats also fine we are not robots we all have our own opinion so we all are not going to agree thats life!
But moaning about other people opinions is a bit silly realy as they have as much right to voice their opinion as any one even if they don't agree with others!

RE5 is a great game and is the best RE game ever and thats a fact (...).
That's not a fact. Your reasoning, by objective standards, is rather week. That's a fact. Now stop whining.
