A recent leak from the same guy who correctly leaked the last few character reveals has recently also stated that the Charatcer select music is now a techno remoxed version of "I wanna take you for a ride"
He said the following.
"An upbeat techno remix of Take You For a Ride is the character select screen BGM, the music you hear in previous builds is no longer"
I really really hope this is not true and if it is can we have an option to at least change it to the music that the previous builds of the game have. I know that many American fans love it, but I can not stand this theme and was content with the fact that it would be credit music only.
Would it be possible to get any sort of official comment about this as I would much prefer not having to listen to "take you for a ride" for another few years it drives me up the wall. The music from all the builds shown at Vegas etc was perfectly fine and I quite liked it.
I really hope this leaker is just trolling but he has been right about everything so far and would be a negative for what is my most wanted game of 2011.

I read that too, to be fair though your only ever on the Character select screen for a couple of seconds and the fantastic music for each character should make it a little less painfull on the ears.

This is true, but i stil think having an option on to select which type would be better. Im having this massive tornament night the day after release and this is gonna really grate on me if people can't decide what team to have. I was glad to see that it was going but this recent leak has me thinking either
1. its some other guy who's trolling
2. or it's legit which I really hope it isnt.
Come on people, do we need to annoy Capcom with every, single small thing? You don't like the song and some others don't either, big deal! You need official confirmation for that? Capcom does not make custom made games on special order, they try do what they feel is best and in the end hope that the majority will agree and like it. Everyone is always unhappy with something. The song, if not mistaken, was HEAVILY requested in different forums and blogs since day 1.
I agree. If you want you can get excited about anything.
I think the theme isn't so bad, something else.
And, by the way every character select theme gets annoying after a little time ...

Maybe asking for offical comp I guess wrong of me, I was mainly looking for a discussion about it which yes I did not make clear, nothing stopping me voicing my opinion.
I can not say I am unhappy or happy about it, i just know it really grinds on me over time hence why i suggested having the option to select which theme we wanted, something in the options then everyone is happy. Also I have done some checking myself on other forums and opinions on this are very split many do not like it and many do, I do also remember many comments on gameplay videos mentioning they were glad this was no longer in the character select screen.
I just do not think it fit then nor does it fit now no need to rage at me.

I think most people are just nit-picking, wanting this to be THE BEST EVER, and its not going to be, but it is going to bloody awsome. What makes a game good is you accept it for its pro's and con's.

I don't want it to sound like nit picking but you are right it's not a huge issues it would just be nice if there is going to be an option to choose, who knows there might be already, it certainly will not stop me buying this as I am really looking forward to it.
Was there something mentioned about an option to switch between jap voices and english? If there are options like this perhaps there will be more to customize the MVC experiance.

I didnt say that directly towards you, It was more of a general thing, as a few people i have spoken 2 have said the same thing. Im just stating that i thought its just a little thing. Like, im a little pissed that Juri or Ibuki isnt in the game, but im not surprised their not in the game.
But if you take the pro's and cons and this game gets 9 or 8/10, then it shows its not just the 1 character its missing, or the 1 song they shouldnt have put in, or that one stage it should have had, its the overall package you shall enjoy.
I dunno, im suppose im trying to be philosophical lol. You never know though, capcoms dlc has included alternate music also. Aswell as the obvious ones like Characters, COstumes, stages etc.....

I agree. On the net I've seen a lot of people bashing against "indestructible" theme of Sf4, assuming it horrible, "you can't hear that song", "the world will end tomorrow if I hear again that song" and so on.
but....suprise. I liked it.
I guess it's pointless to question against artistic choises like this, if you want to get a point save your critics for broken characters or combos. these are the critics that makes a game better for real.
