View Full Version : Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 ???
English :
Hello everyone I'm a fan of Marvel vs. Capcom series that I am since it first I am very happy to see this new opus to land on our console HD very soon.
by-cons I am not at all satisfied-the cast of the play, which I find pathetic side A Marvel Vs Capcom 2, which did not really worthy of the license: (why you it lack of time key figure? on this album? why not keep the old private who were in Marvel Vs Capcom 2 and add in this new opus?
all these issues are only in a constructive purpose because I can not find answers on the net.
What do you think fan of the license?
thank you in advance.

merci d'avance .
I think the roster is looking fantastic so far. Obviously there aren't as many charcaters as MvC2 but I think they've managed to get a good mixture of old, new and bonkers characters for both the Marvel and Capcom side. I know fans will want their personal favorites to make it into the roster (I'd personaly like Strider, Megaman, Silver Surfer, Green Goblin etc) but overall the cast and the game is looking amazing!
I've been waiting 10 years for this game and It's shaping up to exactly how i'd want it to be. :)
I've played it, and it's incredible fun.
There are a few issues I have, (Like Thor and Hulk should be too powerful for most characters), but to be honest, I don't think fighting games are improved by having a large roster.
When Yu Suzuki designed Virtua Fighter, he created a set number of balanced characters (much like Capcom did with Street Fighter II). The more characters you add, the exponentially harder it is to maintain a balance between them. MvC3 seems very balanced from what I played.
But it's also worth noting that most people are going to have at least one favorite character missing.
I'd estimate the Marvel Characters in the game have been picked for tie-ins with upcoming films, like Thor, or maybe Avengers.
also note this possible final roster. Akuma is supposed to be in there too:

Well if that is true (and lets face it most leaks regarding Capcom games seem to turn out to be true lol) then thats going to make a lot of people happy!
I am disappointed not even cult figure Marvel and Capcom as: Silver Surfer, Cyclops, Gambit, bison, iceman and so much more than looking AC depresses the difference in casting!
French :
moi je suis déçu de ne pas voire des personnage culte Marvel et Capcom comme : le surfeur d'argent , cyclop , gambit , bison , iceman et tellement d'autre que ca déprime de regardé la différence de casting !!!

I'm quite optimistic that we will see Silver Surfer seeing as Galactus has made it in to the game. I'm sure I read rumours that Bison might make it in too?? I guess just wait until the game is out though... plus don't forget that Capcom will be supporting the game with downloadable characters so there is the possibility you will see the people you want in the game eventually anyway.
Keep the faith!
You can please some of the people all of the time, and you can please all of the people some of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time.

Marvel Vs Capcom 3 isn't Marvel Vs Capcom 2...
I'd rather have a completely new experience with old characters easing in the changes rather than the same old characters doing the same thing in 3D, even SFIV had new characters...
In my opinion though, MvsC2 had far too many characters...

Moved to MvC section.
Am I slightly disappointed in the cast? Yes. No Gene, no Vergil, no Masamune, no Strider. Masamune was an easy fishing line for Japanese women but that's now a missed opportunity. Gene just fits plus it would've made Team Clover awesome. Strider not "fitting in" is a bit of a joke. She-Hulk doesn't even look that awesome and made it. No Human-Torch, no Ghost Rider, no MoonKnight, no Kraven etc etc. Some could well occur later down the line, I guess.

Honestly, i reckon Capcom have put in as many fighters as they possibly could in the time they had. I love fighting games with a zillion characters to choose from but then you start getting ones that are too similiar (Ryu,Ken,Gouki) which dillutes it a little.
Capcom have been really smart about who they have selected and what kind of fighting styles they have to keep it as diverse a game as possible. As already mentioned Capcom will be adding dlc throughout the games life (that will be new fighters and a music track for them) so its definetly possible to see old favorites like Cyclops, Gambit and Venom return, and it would also be good to see some new characters such as The Fantastic 4.
Either way from what ive seen so far i know i wont be disapointed, this game is set to take over my life ^_^
I like the roster we've seen so far. It has some characters that I would have never expected to be in the game and that's cool.
And remember that in this generation we have a lot of add-ons in the shape of DLC, so expect more characters to come in a future...or at least that's what I think.

I think its also important to remember that Capcom have built this game on an entirely new engine so every sprite has been drawn and animated from scratch. They could have gone back and used the Naomi board they used for the previous one and imported the older characters that way, but it just wouldnt have looked anywhere near as good.
Im missing a few fighters but im also looking forward to trying out the new ones so i think it does even the whole thing out. You just have to look at how the fighter move to understand how much work has gone into each one.
I gripe is that once again everything will be DLC and that AC will not pay for a change and it can take consumers for cows milk!!
why not release a full game? that release a full game not pay with options while there 10 years back we had complete games without pay and more!
but hey you're obviously happy with what time do better

While I doubt these characters will really be the final thing, I would be so, so happy if they were. War Machine, Megaman (plus Battle Network!!), Strider and Samanosuke would make my day, and Victor Delacroix would be amazing as a fan of Chaos Legion.
Sadly Strider's been deconfirmed, Phoenix is missing from that list and I doubt Delacroix will make it in the game - but I hope a couple of those make it. I like the idea of having alternate versions of characters such as Samanosuke/Soki, Frank West/Chuck Greene and Megaman/Battle Network as it could make a lot of people happy for fans of those series' by getting 2 characters in one.

You have full games now you just have the option to add to them if you want.
Like buying a car, you buy a car and it does everything it's supposed to but you pay extra for metalic paint, sunroof, alloy wheels if you want them, but it's not a problem if you don't the car still does everything that you expect it to do.
10 years back you had full games but had no option to increase the size of them unless you paid full prize for an updated version

This is the truth, i have 7 different versions of Streetfighter 2, 4 variations on Streetfighter 3 and a tonne of VS games that are all the same game with additional characters! Id rather pay a couple of pounds each time and add as i go than have another 3 releases of the same game lol
