View Full Version : Who wants to see Wesker again?
Wesker is officially the Marmite character of Resident Evil. I.e. People either love him or hate him. Anyway, If by some crazy viral mutation he survived the extreme overkill of RE5 (Chris and Sheva landing two rockets in his face while he was half submerged in lava) or if CAPCOM were to do a prequel to Resident evil 5, would people like to see him in any future Resi instalments? :)
Personally, I think he's one of the coolest characters ever and Resi loosing him I think would end the same as Star Wars loosing Darth Vader as the main antagonist (notice how it went kinda crap after the original trilogy). Ergo... I'd like to see Wesker in future Resident Evil instalments.
I'm not too bothered about him coming back (or not). He's not important to me enjoying the series, he was just there (like Barry, but admittedly more important). I'd rather see some more of the Ashfords (did Edward Ashford really die? We never saw it! There could be a prequel there somewhere...;)
But yeah...Wesker has only been important, for me, in the original and 5.

i'd like to see some brand new characters actually...ok Wesker is an important character in RE, but i'd like to see something new...
i really like Chris, Jill, Leon, Wesker and the others, but i think that new people in RE would be great
Excella and Sheva are really interesting in RE5, but we don't know too much of them because we're too focused on Chris, Jill and Wesker
i repeat, i'm affectionate towards those characters, but i'd like to see something new
so please, leave Wesker dying, an look for someone new in the next RE

I can't choose any of those options.
If it were a prequel, it'd make sense for him to return...if it's a sequel, then no...if he somehow survived, I think that'd just ruin the purpose and point of RE5.
He was a good villain, but every villain must have an end, miraculous returns are not welcome in my point of view. I'm sure they can find a good replacement :)

They should leave him dead. I wouldn't mind seeing him again in a prequel, but no more of Wesker in the sequels.
Wesker was a great character, he will be missed.
i would have prefered if he hadnt died but if he comes back i will be very dissapointed in the writers
They made a mistake brining him back in CV, so they shouldn't repeat it.

I'd like to hear from/see the other Weskers now, as there would be no way I'd support Albert's revival (again).
However, I'd still like to see more of Wesker in the form of spin-offs/prequels etc. I'm sure there's still a lot to gain from his popularity and character. Besides, he adds that dazzling spark to the franchise's action scenes, so I'm pretty much biased in that respect.

He's been a great villain but he needed to die. I'm glad he died because it moves the series forward instead if he were to escape and say "until we meet again, Chirs" and then come back in a few years time.
He said that at the end of CV X and I'm glad that after nearly 7 years we get a conclusion to the Wesker/Chris feud. All great villains must be killed in the end. :(
Anyway, lava pool = instant death.

To be honest anyone with eyes could see that the rockets hit the lava behind him, giving capcom a way of bringing him back if they needed to, i kinda do want him back but i don't.
Mainly just so i can see an Alexia clone, they killed her off to quick in this series and she was perhaps the best boss in RE (from my opinion) Claire/chris/alexia/alfred was just rock on, 2 sets of siblings + wesker, who took steve (still not heard anything about that yet or sherry) not to mention we need more leon and ada.
I don't want any new characters, Jill can go, her storyline has kind of dried up now Sheva is in the picture (and their you got your new character/s Sheva, now be happy and move on, we don't need anymore, they still havn't rapped up the old ones yet)
:mad:The antagonist of this fabulosaes Wesker if you kill the kill the saga, in my opinion, but I have an idea, I would be very cool that the next resident evil has a new and ultimately appeared Wesker and fight the new enemy vs bad estartia evil genius.

Like previously stated, the rockets pierce and go right through his body, while one takes his head clean off.

It wouldnt really bother me, but it would be an silly revival if ya ask me. Although Spencer did say he had endless potential, and he already seems to regnerate, so its not completly unreal that he could make a return.
I would like to find out more about Ada, (She could be the new baddy, doubt it but....) It never tells you who she is working 4 exactly, we all asume its Wesker, but she could of been working with someone else. Or for her own cause.
My brother keeps saying that he wants a Hunk spin off game, where it shows you all about him and his journey through the Resi timeline.
Me, Im still looking forward for another Outbreak game, with full online and everything, bt probably wont happen.

She told us she was working with "The Organisation"; she was a double agent, never truly working with Wesker, which is clear by her doublecross in 4.

im sure that the masters at capcom would come up with a storeyline for weskers return aka clone him example but i would support a return but in a prequal like they did with zero but not a sequal to 5

Seconded, I also can't vote on any of those options...
A prequel with Wesker would make sense, however, I had my fill of him with Umbrella chronicles, so they'd have to show him in a different light, maybe a more human/mysterious side concerning his origins, or maybe the Wesker children, new things not featured in the games much rather than filling existing holes.
If he "survived" for a sequel, this would have to be extremely clever for it to work, simply cloning him or some other goofball resurrection plot will not do, if he survived but was now a mindless monster it would be some kind of irony I could live with, but since there is going to be a so-called reboot with new characters, I think we'll only hear of him as some kind of legend.

Yeah, I accept that he is dead, im just saying that it would have to be very good for him to return, a simple "-Shazam!- Wasn't me! it was a clone of me to die so you thought that I was dead because I wanted you to think that I had died" type return would be awful.
