I've been on the Capcom US forums quite a bit recently and there are a lot of threads about this subject there, but I don't see any here!
Basically, there seems to be two major technical faults occuring with copies of Resident Evil 5:
Game Freezing / Never-ending loading screens.
Save File Corruption.
And both faults are occuring on both Xbox 360 (old and new models) and PS3 versions.
I've been hit with the Save File Corruption. I was on level 5-2 when it happened. I popped the game in, got as far as the title screen and selected my hard drive as the storage device to load my data from, only to be greeted by this message : Failure To Load Saved Data.
I still had all my achievements but cannot access anything associated with the progress I had made. The only way I could continue playing was to delete the saved data and start over. I lost all my levels, all my guns and upgrades, all my gear, all the unlockable files, all the figurines, everything! And I have no guarantee it won't happen again!
Anyone else out there have either of these problems? If you haven't heard of these faults you should head over to the Capcom US forums for more sob stories!
