Shrug, I'm sure we'll have plenty of RE "side games" during that time.

"hopefully only 4"

sounds about right tbh

Hopefully, it'll be here by either the end of this console generation or part way through the next generation.

Im hoping that they do more side-story games for PS3 & 360 and not just hammy Wii shooters.

"We haven't decided whether we are going to make a Resi 6 yet, but if we do...".
That's the most worrying part.

That's the most worrying part. No, for me is the best.

Sometimes, it is necessary to put the word END.
There are so much tales to write, new gaming experiences to play...

Except this is Capcom we're talking about, and if you look at the RE series sales over the years I think they'll be more than happy to do another one after a hiatus of another 4 years. (Though if it takes another 4 years to make a reskinned RE5, like RE5 was a reskinned RE4 then they can take a running jump.)

It's marketing speak, nothing more. No-one wants to confirm a game that isn't officially confirmed in an interview, so they'll drop the 'We haven't decided' in there to dismiss confirmation reports.

I'm just wondering if I'll still be interested in Resident Evil by the time I'm 30...

At a guess, there'll be a fair few filler titles during this time frame.

*shrugs*

Aye; would get people clamouring for confirmation.

The popularity, success etc. cards can be played here as justification for a new title. However, I'm sure 4 years will be the route taken, as I see that as enough time for the "reboot" mentioned by Takeuchi-san.

We'll see. I'm in no rush now as I've had my Resident Evil fill. Would like to see what spin-offs/remakes etc. they have planned other than Darkside Chronicles.

Perhaps, but they did take four years to do RE5 and ended up dropping the entire point (heat / hallucinations) of gameplay and ended up "only" doing a RE4 clone complete in that time. So we'll see if Takeuchi can manage a reboot in the same time ... I'm doubting it.

True, but with improvements in technology, knowledge and lowering the time required due to experience, I don't think it would require more than 4/5 years to produce a reboot altogether.

Unless of course, they do another Resident Evil 4 in terms of changing things 2/3 times before sticking to a single idea. In that sense, Resident Evil 4 was in development for several years (since Devil May Cry's development).

I guess we should all get a life or continue with our owns anyways :D

Honestly, I am seriously considering if keep playing these games.

I forgot about the whole "heat" thing! What happened with that? I guess at CAPCOM they're only good with words and nothing more concept-wise.
