Retail Box registration on Steam possible?

Greetings. I`ve just bought the retail copy of Devil May Cry 4 and I`d like to register it on Steam, but I need a cd-key. On the back of the manual included, there is a blank space named "cd-key", but... it`s blank.

I`d very much like to activate the game on steam so I don`t have to play it with the DVD inserted, because I have a laptop without an internal optical unit and hooking up the external one is a pain.

no cosmin, the only way to play Devil May Cry 4 on steam is to buy it online on steam which always for steam games doesnt need the fysical disk, the only solution is to buy it again on steam store. and that could be expensive.

but it is holiday now on steam maybe you get a good sale for Devil May Cry 4
