well considering lost planets poor sales i figured it would end up like the dino crisis franchise but i heard news that capcom were making a new one but inafune has now left too AHHHH i'm so confused:cry:

I guess we'll know when we know really.

I doubt Capcom will completely abandon the series, especially given how hard they've been pushing LP2 (plushies, figures, etc).

But it won't be for a while before we find out more.

Inafune leaving would have nothing to do with Lost Planet's future. If Capcom chose to continue the series, they will.

Lost Planet 2's sales weren't what they could have been but it still did decently. Not making its money back could probably be down to Capcom's ridiculously sized teams that work on their games. Read Inafune's interview in the General board to see just how many people work on a single project. It's ludicrous.

I would like to see a Lost Planet 3. Hopefully Capcom will learn from their amateur mistakes that were made in Lost Planet 2.
