Silly question, but something that's interested me for a while, which do you prefer - Wired controllers or Wireless ones?

Wireless, definitely.

I wasn't sold at the idea when I first heard of it. The hassle of recharging batteries, losing controllers, etc. etc. really didn't seem to weigh up to the positive side of it. But with a chargekit, it makes me feel completely free. I'll pause a game and take my controller with me when I want to check something on my PC. And hell, I love the idea of not being restricted by a controller's wire when it comes to placing a console. I can put my 360 in a closet with all my other equipment if I want.

Definitely wireless for the exact same reasons Urya mentioned.

Also don't you remember the days of just wired controllers? I always had a horrible tangled mess whenever I went to play on my console.

Do other videogame peripherals like Joysticks and Mice count?

Because noone who values speed and reaction, would choose wireless.

I dream of a world where everything is wireless. My home cinema setup has enough wiring to strangle a blue whale.

ive had way too many accidents with wired, although the low batterry signal is a pain its not painful

With mouse and keyboards, I agree. Thing I've seen with most wireless keyboards is that you can't press a lot of buttons at once, making it very annoying to play fighting games with.

Then again, you're supposed to play those games with a pad.

Are those newfangled 2.3Ghz (or whatever) mice and keyboards slow too?

2.4 Ghz? Thats "standard" frequency. Ive got one of those for my lappy. The response lag can me measured by milliseconds, but if youre playing a game where reflexes and quick action is key, you will notice a difference between a corded and cordless mouse (Logitech G5 and G7 for example).

If youre not a videogamer, then you probably wouldnt feel the difference though, but then again, unless you do graphics design, what kind of a casual user would spend 50-100 dollars on a mouse :P

I don't mind either.
