To be honest, I thought Casino Royale was the best James Bond film. Absolutely loved it and was a nice take on the character. The similarities between this and DmC in terms of aim is quite noticeable.

The only downer on this article is that Capcom think Devil May Cry 4's sales were good but not where they think it should be (despite fiscal reports saying DMC4 exceeded ALL expectations). Capcom thinks they can get 4/5 million out of this new DMC which is ludicrous. If God of War 3 or Uncharted 2 can't even get 5 million despite being milestones in gaming development and stupidly popular and critically acclaimed, DmC most certainly won't. You're talking Final Fantasy levels of sales here. It's delirious thinking. The folks at Capcom need a serious head examining. You can claim if RE5 did it, DmC could but again, that's delirious thinking as Resident Evil is one of the primary gaming franchises in the industry and has way more of a fan base than DMC could ever hope to have.

Also, Devil May Cry 4 is in the top 10 of best-selling Capcom games in history. It sold over 2 million OUTSIDE OF JAPAN.

Where's all this retardation coming from? It's nice to be ambitious but there's a word I like to use called realism. I'm reading arguably the most hilariously bad stuff on the internet lately and it's coming from Capcom.

Here's the actual interview Eurogamer had:

1. Capcom went to Ninja Theory
2. Capcom are pretty much managing the project with Ninja Theory doing the leg-work.
3. Capcom went to Ninja Theory and asked them to make a Dante so far-off from the previous models.
4. This is a complete rebirth. This isn't a prequel. This is Devil May Cry reborn.

He makes the ridiculous claim that what was cool back in 2001 isn't cool now with regards to Devil May Cry. His remarks are pathetic as Devil May Cry 4 was the most successful title in the series and Dante is one of the most famous and recognisable characters in gaming. People love him because of his appearance and personality. He's more cool now than he was before. Such a retarded statement but you just have to look at the head of NT. He looks like a pompous fool.

Apparently there's a hint that the Dante we see won't necessarily stay that way throughout the course of the game. Does this mean we will be playing flashback scenes? Or are we going to see a gradual change in his appearance throughout.

Overall, I think it's pretty likely that by the end of the game, Dante will take up a more familiar appearance.

Also, the game has been in development for a year or so. No wonder the rumors pertaining to this originated several months ago.

I laughed at the stuff that he was spouting. Not cool? Uh huh..and he is? Bringing in the underground stuff of today? Make it more relevant to today? No! That's NOT what we need. We don't need new fashion for him. That's kind of insulting to say his fashion sucked originally. Have they seen some of the concept art from past games? So much of it was classy stuff that never got used.

There are comparisons to Marvel and their Ultimate line, hello...that's DIFFERENT! At least the core stuff is still going on. Sure, Capcom could turn around and bring out a "core" DMC but financially it obviously doesn't make sense to do it with a game than it does with comic books. Different things work for different mediums. This alternate universe, reboot stuff really doesn't work well in my opinion on games. The wait involved for consumers to get their product is a big reason why. Comic books, no because every month both universe stories get released.

What really got me was his comments about Bayonetta. I'm sorry but, how on Earth can the developer knock Bayonetta when that is the VERY game they have to match and beat? "It's not what I want"? So this DMC is now what he wants? Clearly what he wants isn't what most of the consumers want.

I calmed down after the initial reveal, then this fool gives his statement only to look ridiculous in the process. Sure, things could work out but why on Eart is he a top guy in this project is beyond me.

In an ideal world Patinum Games would be heading this up, that Ninja Theory guy would be wishing he'd get to be anywhere near the project and everyone would be happy. *sigh*

Deary me, this chap really seems lost. Still can't get over the fact he knocked Bayonetta...the very thing DMC needed to run alongside...

The more info we recive the sadder it gets. Bob certainly is not cooler than Dante, NT dev is so full of himself its not even funny anymore. Oh well, this project generates so much hate, meaby Capcom realizes most potential buyers are rejecting the game, so they have to erase/change the whole project to not loose money? I sure hope so at least.....

I read this the other day, and there's already one clear problem with it: Devil May Cry has pretty much always been over the top. It'spart of what makes the game cool. I mean maybe DMC1 wasn't as over the top as the later games, but the boss fights were definitely out there, which is part of what makes the Devil May Cry games so awesome, and allows the series to stand out so well in the sea of games already out there.

I hate samey stuff. I love crazy, different and over the top stuff.

NT is going to ruin DMC.

Capcom should stop this ridiculous game presented by NT (...PLEASE...).

Apart of the ugly Dante the speed of the action in the trailer was far too slow. Furthermore the statements of NT shows no respect to anyone. Neither DMC, nor fans.

This is like Nintendo anouncing that mario will have a new outfit because of new US and EU regulations on the plumbing industry. This is just insane!

What are capcom thinking, they must really want this game to flop.
