To be honest, I thought Casino Royale was the best James Bond film. Absolutely loved it and was a nice take on the character. The similarities between this and DmC in terms of aim is quite noticeable.
The only downer on this article is that Capcom think Devil May Cry 4's sales were good but not where they think it should be (despite fiscal reports saying DMC4 exceeded ALL expectations). Capcom thinks they can get 4/5 million out of this new DMC which is ludicrous. If God of War 3 or Uncharted 2 can't even get 5 million despite being milestones in gaming development and stupidly popular and critically acclaimed, DmC most certainly won't. You're talking Final Fantasy levels of sales here. It's delirious thinking. The folks at Capcom need a serious head examining. You can claim if RE5 did it, DmC could but again, that's delirious thinking as Resident Evil is one of the primary gaming franchises in the industry and has way more of a fan base than DMC could ever hope to have.
Also, Devil May Cry 4 is in the top 10 of best-selling Capcom games in history. It sold over 2 million OUTSIDE OF JAPAN.
Where's all this retardation coming from? It's nice to be ambitious but there's a word I like to use called realism. I'm reading arguably the most hilariously bad stuff on the internet lately and it's coming from Capcom.
Here's the actual interview Eurogamer had:

1. Capcom went to Ninja Theory
2. Capcom are pretty much managing the project with Ninja Theory doing the leg-work.
3. Capcom went to Ninja Theory and asked them to make a Dante so far-off from the previous models.
4. This is a complete rebirth. This isn't a prequel. This is Devil May Cry reborn.

He makes the ridiculous claim that what was cool back in 2001 isn't cool now with regards to Devil May Cry. His remarks are pathetic as Devil May Cry 4 was the most successful title in the series and Dante is one of the most famous and recognisable characters in gaming. People love him because of his appearance and personality. He's more cool now than he was before. Such a retarded statement but you just have to look at the head of NT. He looks like a pompous fool.
Apparently there's a hint that the Dante we see won't necessarily stay that way throughout the course of the game. Does this mean we will be playing flashback scenes? Or are we going to see a gradual change in his appearance throughout.
Overall, I think it's pretty likely that by the end of the game, Dante will take up a more familiar appearance.
Also, the game has been in development for a year or so. No wonder the rumors pertaining to this originated several months ago.
