I just moved flats a month ago, and two days ago I got burgled. Lost my laptop, PS3, graphic tablet etc etc. It's really annoying as I basically just got everything back from the last time my previous flat got broken into, only 4 months ago.

So if you can't get a hold of me, it's simply because I'm waiting for the insurance to kick in, so I can get a new PC again.

That's terrible and how did it happen like if it was a break in through windows?

I hope you get your stuff back through insurance but must be very upsetting to never get your files from hard drive and other personal data. :(

All the best of luck and anything I can do to help another Londoner(I think?) feel free to drop a message.

Cheers guys.

They broke into the front door, probably using a crowbar. It just sucks to lose all my work on my pc. I have some of it backed up on an external HDD, but I'll get set back 3-4 months worth of personal work, which isn't good.

It's not too great losing all my PS3 saves either, but there we are.

Does anyone know if I will have to make a new PSN user account when I get a new PS3, or can I still log in with my old user?

You will be able to log into your old one and will be able to re-download every thing you had in games and DLC ect.

I would get in touch with sony though to suspend it till you have anther ps3 and remove any CC details

Don't have a PS3 but does it save card details like xbox 360 too as they might try to get that too! Hope they dont try to go on the websites that you got stored cookies for on your hard drive.

It's good you can at least re download bought content because xbox 360 saves it to each hard drive. These people should try and think what they are putting people through before doing what they do.

It saves the CC details on the sever so if it has automatic log in the chances are they will have access to the CC

I am fairly certain that you can't access the whole number though for reasons just like this one?

No you can't access the full number but if details are on their only the last 4 digits show so they can't take take the details off the PSN, but they can still buy other things from the PSN.

Man, that's terrible. Especially for a second time as well. :\

Hopefully the insurance can recover some of the things at least.

If they catch em, perhaps you could do a segment on Jeremy Kyle?

"These (censored) stole my stuff.. I want revenge!!"
and do all that funny stuff that fat old women from Somewhere like Kent or Cornwall do, shout scream and swear..
By the way no offence to any fat old women from Kent or Cornwall.

Oh man, I hate those people who don't do anything in life except rob others

Some day we're going to have to put mines inside our homes to keep robbers at a distance :yell:

Sorry to hear that Clay.:(

I would get in touch with Sony as they will be able to trace your PS3 through your PSN account if the thiefs are stupid enough to be using it online.

Dude, you have some of the worst luck.

I think you need to invest in some high security for your flats.

How long ago did you move in? There's a chance that the people saw you moving in, and saw what you had with you...so they may have purposefully targetted your flat.

If this is the case, then they could be quite close by to where you live...

Best of luck for getting the insurance and getting all the stuff back eventually.

It's a shame that you lost so much of your work.

Thanks.

Yeah, I just moved in so I really can't be bothered to move again. And since I only rent the place it's limited what I can do. However, I am getting additional locks, and they original lock was changed, so that's something.
I'm also contemplating to get a nanny-cam~

I'm yet to hear back regarding the insurance, but hopefully they'll call me again soon. I might give them a ring later today, actually.

But yeah. I'll make sure to email Sony too.
