Me and Le Taff have been on Tri every wednesday and sunday evening since launch. Being old men with families and stuff we try and recapture our youth hunting big beasties online. Assisted by the fantastically helpful BrownieMc (and others on occassion) we've now both got to High rank and are looking forward to progressing further in the game.
This thread is a little heads up for anyone who feels like looking out for 2 distinctly average ability Monster Hunters on these nights.

Grats on high rank! I was involved in the Jhen Moran smashing, right? Or do I remember incorrectly?
I won't be on tonight, sadly, but hopefully will be around on Sunday. I am mostly rinsing the Deviljho event quest :) I recommend it! His weapons are aces and on my first kill I got two gems! You'll need high rank armour, but mine is a mix of G Jaggi and Qurupeco. He's quite doable with just that.

I have found myself playing MH less and less, which is distressing.
As I work Sundays I'll join you at least on Wednesdays ^^

YEAH! All quests open! Though really I ranked up from 31 to 52 doing almost exclusively low rank quests to help people rank up, so gear-wise I'm way behind.

You mentioned farming Agnaktor for the armor, are you still up for that? Because I need like 12 claws+ for weapon upgrades plus armor.

Yeah, you did help us beat JM, Leo. Popped a lil thanks in the good game thread for ya.:D Heliosin, as Brownie says it's from about 8pm - I think you helped me in MHFU get Rank 7, that's right yeah?
I've levelled my rank in a similar way to Leo tbh. Spent a lot of time ranking up mates, but have managed to get a full set of HR Quru armour for myself, so it's heartening to hear that it can stand up for itself. We normally have the attitude where the lowest ranked person in the group chooses the quests and we help them progress in that way. Le Taff's farmed a bit of HR Jaggi gear himself, so we'll be looking at that for kick off tonight. Thinking of which I'll have to get him posting on here too. I'm doing all the hard work.:rolleyes:

I'll turn up one of these days to play with you guys. Also on the note of Agnak farming, if it's HR Agnaks i'll be more than happy to come, im working on my armor set for lancing.
P.S. why is Quru so popular? I use Giggi+ with a para SnS and it's gotten me through everything xD

I am the aforementioned Le Taff, just got to high rank last weekend. I'm really enjoying our regular Wed/Sun sessions (apologies for last night - was in hospital).
I'm up for any quests really, it's all loot at the end of the day. I'm usually the one wearing shabby gear who charges through his own team with a sharq lance, misses the monster and continues off screen or into lava.
Note that I borrowed a Wii on release day just to play this game so I may have to give it back next month (sob).

Woot. Le Taff's back - hey mate. Sorry you couldn't make it last night. Brownie took me on an attempt to beat Altareon for my 5* urgent - I ended up getting clobbered myself so I seriously need to upgrade my armour. Levelled my Quru but only up to rank 3 and it's pretty weak. Heliosin, I've only personally got Quru armour as I happened to get in a group that was farming it and we went from there tbh. Agnak farming sounds nice - could do with a beefier armour set and I still need a few more beaks for the final lance upgrade.
Anyway, thanks for the effort last night BrownieMc. It was fun as always although I did let out a VERY long sigh when I died for the last time.:help:

Upgraded my Quru armour to Rank 7 now. Had an Alta run with some randoms, but we wiped. I didn't die this time though.
Got a promotion this week, so I might still be in celebration mode by the time we get started. Be warned. lol

Dudes, I'm not dead. Was late at work last wednesday, wife's birthday last sunday and I'm late at work AGAIN this wednesday. Hoping to get back to normal by sunday. Apologies for not posting earlier.
I haven't played this game in ages, until today. Got a little bored of playing everyday, the break did me good.
