I did a topic on the old forum ages ago but I can't find it now so I thought I'd repost it.

Would you like to see a Megaman Battle network online?

By this I mean you create your character and your own navi and can explore the virtual world.

Think this could work? If it existed would you play it?

Discuss it give your own ideas and stuff!

Well the entire game is sort of built around that concept so it would be awesome if it could actually be made, I for one would certainly enjoy such a game.

Espcially if you had a net navi creator :D

As for whether it would work or not, unfortuantly I dont think it would be that popular, its a bit of a niche market these days.

If made right it could get new fans to the genre well I believe it could anyway :)

I suggested this idea myself as well.

It would work because the Battle Network structure is perfect for an mmo.

that is a good idea..hehehehehe:D
but i want the navi can talk and have an emotional like human...
the operator can talk with the navi, so the navi will be operator's friend and make a full syncro.
hahaha!!! that's funny, but interesting..isn't it?!;)
(like lan and megaman )
but the navi not a program (of course!but if you can...its okay), the navi is a player who want to be the navi and the operator is a player who want to be the operator. if the navi didn't have an operator, the navi will be freedom navi.
(the f. navi is weak, but the f. navi will be as strong as the navi with operator or stronger for a long time and very hard (example:bass)).

There's no words to express how much I'd love to see this idea worked out. However, I don't think the Mega Man fanbase is big enough to pull off an MMORPG. Mega Man's been a niche brand for a couple of years now (although Mega Man 9 did spark a lot of general interest), while an MMORPG would need thousands of active players paying a monthly subscription to pay the bills.

Sure, there's microtransactons. But I think it's safe to say that gameplay like MMBN's would put a lot of strain on the servers, not to mention take a lot of time to get to work in a massive online environment.
