3 punch/kick buttons

Just a simple question really. I've never been a tourny player and I'm not really interested in it either, but socially I want to keep progressing at this game. My question is simple. I'm using an arcade stick for the game and I find it very infuritating sometimes trying to pull off an Ultra if my Super gauge is full as timing of pressing the 3 correct buttons isn't always superb enough. Is it considered cheap to set a button for 3 kicks and 3 punches or is it common practice?

well on an arcade stick its easier to press the 3 buttons at once and since tournies usually always use sticks there usually isnt a button spare to set up a 3 punch/kick

I don't think it's cheap, since the game itself has that option on the basic set-up of the normal controller.

However, it might throw you off sometimes when you're trying to do a super, and instead pull of an ultra which leaves you open for a counterhit.

From what I've heard, apparently if you're using a pad, it's acceptable. All other methods that make it legitimately easy to play the game (IE An arcade stick or one of the specifically made fight pads) then it's "un tourney worthy".

So basically pad=cool, arcade stick=not cool.
