Have you played a game that is underated? have you picked up a game you've never heard of before and found it was amazing? Use this topic to tell people about the great games they may have missed!

My gaming gem is Disgaea: hour of darkness on PS2 I bought it brand new and even though I hadn't heard of it before I thought it looked good and I wasn't let down, It is without the doubt my favourite game on the ps2 I loved the characters and the plot.

Hmm as I recall the Disagea games are pretty well known nowadays. I suppose when the first game came out it was hardly known anywhere but I can't say much seeing as I haven't played any of them. :p

For me there is quite a large list:

Tech Romancer (Dreamcast)
Otogi 1 and 2 (Xbox)
V-Rally 2 (PSOne)
Tenchu 2: Birth Of The Stealth Assasins (PSOne)
Jet Set Radio (Dreamcast)
Micky Mouse: World Of Illusions (Mega Drive)
Chuck Rock and its sequel (Game Gear Version0
Gargoyles (Game Boy)
Zeoth (Game Boy)

I'll have to say Alundra (PS1). If you like the 2D Zelda's, then you'll love this. The sequal...not so much:(

Steel Battalion is always a hidden gem, cause no one wanted to pay £130 for it! lol really great game though.

Totally agree. That game was amazing. It was one of those ones where it's a struggle to put down before finishing.

I agree Vagrant Story was awesome.

Lol and the most obvious one. Although it's so well known now. Monster Hunter (PS2). I could of happily spent my life on that game!

Wouldn't mind knowing which console it was on.

PC only, for now. There's been talk of a Wii port, which would be awesome considering the physics - in this one you gotta drag open drawers and stuff when searching.

Only one I can think of at the time would be Phantasy Star Universe. The world needs more online action RPGs like that.

Oooh I guess that's another one! Odin Sphere! Though it's... somewhat populair, I guess, I still think it deserves a whole lot of more love!

I'm sorry but as a Tenchu fan I would hardly call Tenchu Z a gem. Personally I found it atrocious. :(
