View Full Version : How would you rate the new forum and site now?
After all the herd work to get the new place up and running what would you rate it out of 10?
Also a quick thank you to all who made this possible.

I gave it a solid 8. :)
The site and forum is very nicely designed, which I like.
Better than the previous one, imo. :)
I gave it an 8, still needs a few tweaks (cookies, I know they're coming though) and it would be a solid 9. Obviously I like the place though, unless I wouldn't keep coming back. :D
It's really great, rated 9 from me. 10 is reserved for when there's a Capcom shop :P

I was expecting a few improvments but there is so much more than what I expected, so if it had fully met my expectations it would have recieved a 10/10 then really my score is too low seeing as how it exceeded what I wanted.

4/10 (I dont operate on a 5-10 scale)
The good things
-usable forums
-somewhat good colour scheme
-community spirit-gimmicks
The bad things
-overcomplicated, fancy eyecandy being overused, simplicity wins
-still a number of bugs
-disappointed that simplicity and functionality has been less focused on, than some things I personally see as completely unnecessary
-pictures in sigs still disabled and/or reserved for those who visit the forum more often/post more/dedicate more time to the site, as if it was a reward
-binding the release of a new website and forums with Resident Evil 5, I much liked it when the forum and site main theme was neutral for all CAPCOMs games
Some of these points are subjective

Tried BBcode (which should work, obviously) and I see TZM tried HTML, neither work. They have been disabled and enabled for people who have gained an achievement.
I know that the background is interchangeable.
If the scale is from 1-10, I use all of its number, instead oh how most people instinctively ignore the first 5 digits. Check out how most people review games and movies. An "average" or "OK" game usually gets 7 points even though "average" would mean anywhere between 4 and 6.

New site is amazing, I have to admit it beat Unity (USA boards) we don't even get picture sigs, or badges (not yet anyways)

A solid 8/10. While the sites looks much better than it was before, I've notice that my browser usually lags whenever I open the main page due to the heavy flash-type stuff. Besides that, I'm liking the new design. It's more lively than the other that just threw 'boredom' at me.
I would never ever ever ever give this site a 10/10... :mad:
...since this is the internet it deserves the score of 9001 or atleast 1337 that's how epic and awesome it is. :D
I think the new design is excellent and a definite improvement on the previous forum. It's looks amazing and the site is a lot more attractive.
The new features are the best part it makes the forum a lot more interactive and it means I always have the forum running in one of my tabs.

I agree with your point Massaki , I've also experienced a slight lag time and it's down to the heavy use of flash I think.
The trailers and the drop down trailer box at the top isn't necessary imo, static pictures at the top of the mainpage (not on the forum) with a link to the video would suffice.
I have not experienced any lag:confused: but i am on a 50MB DL conection
I gave an 8/10. I love everything about this CE site, but we can't just throw around 9s and 10s, can we?
I would give it a 11 :D The new design is just fantastic and I rly love the idea of gettin trophies. Trophies > post count !

Perfect example, for a couple of reasons.
The site looks MUCH better than the old one. It even looks better than Unity. Nice work! 9 out of 10! (Yeah yeah, it has bugs but it's not critical)
Also i like these achievements mod very much. Nice.
It looks truly amazing<3 it's all flashy and nice and so much more conventiently arranged! I gave it an 8 (:

Seeing as it's only been out for a few days, I think the site is doing a great job at holding up and doing what it's supposed to. There will always be niggles in the opening stages, as it needs to handle the amount of people coming on who will each be doing different things. However, that's something that I'm sure will be sorted out in the future.
The forums are definitely far more appealing than they were beforehand.
We just need login cookies already :P
I have good reason to give it a 5, My explanation would have shown that, but now its lost, ill probably repeat what I tried to say when I have the time.

Just a note on the Flash video player at the top - if you close it, it will cookie that setting and the next time you hit the home page it won't load the flash player. In fact it doesn't load it 'behind' at all until you open it. So that might help if you're experiencing lag due to the video player.:thumb:

I love it. But then I only really have the old one to compare it to. I gave it a 10. And sexual favours to the production team!:shocked:
Gave it an 8 out of 10. Good job removing the post counts from the threads, I think that really negates the spamfests that tends to happen.
