Not sure if there has been one already (couldn't find one personally), but I thought that this would be a fun thread to share your view on who personally feel is your favorite/best character in the series. Could be major or minor. :]
Note: The polls only have a maximum limit of 10 options, so I decided to keep the options based on the main characters in the franchise.
However, please don't let that limit you from posting other characters that aren't mentioned in the poll itself. This thread can pertain to any and every character. If you feel I've missed someone important out that could still compete with the main cast, feel free to say so!
There is already a poll on the home page of the site, although it only has four characters, but I suppose since this is in the forum and has more choices it should be ok.
I'll go for Claire...'cause she's in my favourite resi. She's also the most interesting character, I think.

Out of the options available, I choose Wesker each time.
But if I were able to choose any character from the series, I automatically go for Birkin.
Leon gets my vote, because I only got into the RE series with 4. : < He was pretty badass. I also liked HUNK (lol, Mercenaries), while he's not a real character (he looks like he belongs to a special forces team), his Neckbreaker was pretty much the instant kill.
I voted for Jill, due to the fact that it was with this character I had my first Resident Evil gaming experience with.

Seriously though, I can't pick a favourite since each has their own part in the story, im not especially excited to see one character in lead, only as part of the plot, which is constantly changing, so I can't pick for sure.
I suppose if I really had to choose, it would be either HUNK or Birkin.

I voted for Jill. First character I played with (:redface:) on RE 1.

Bah! i picked wesker but i wished hunk would be there.
The best are Leon & Ada. I just can't forget the scene from re2, where Ada dies. :( Probably the best one in whole RE-series.
Of course Chris is nice one, but his new guerilla-like appearance is awfull.

Billy Coen. I think you could've included at least most of the protagonists of the "main" games. Such a limited selection is unfortunate, considering that it's perhaps undiserable to have multiple polls (everyone wanting to have one for their favourite(s)) open.
Actually Billy is such an "extra" character like Ashley, Luis in RE4 or Sheva in RE5.
I like him too, kinda nice person... but unfortunately CAPCOM decided to kick him off.

Ashley and Luis weren't playable, they also weren't main characters (protagonists of a game). And what kind of character is Sheva, in your opinion? I'm not sure what you mean by "kicked off", either. At any rate, he had a significant role in Umbrella Chronicles.
I mean that he only was present in one game (UC is more remake of all classical games than new part) and did not play such a great role in the RE-world like other chars.

My favourite character has to be Ada, so mysterious, been in several games and still dont know much about her.
Imo Hunk should be up there, and he could have a decent story if Capcom ever made a spin off for his life.
Jill, first character I ever used and was a great character in RE3; strangely well voiced in a period of time where good acting + Resident Evil = Not done.

My two favourite characters are Alexia (she's my first, my favourite character of the series), followed by Excella Gionne.
I'd say Leon too. Though more recent, I think they could do more with the character.
i went for Jill but in truth i'd go for Irving XD, unless it was a date, then i'd certainly go for Jill XD
Wesker, obviously.
Capcom own the two coolest character in the world, Wesker and Dante.
Chuck Norris is a person, so it doesn't appear in that rank. :D

Jill Valentine, easily. She's in my fav game (Nemesis) and even if she wasn't, she's my fav character anyway.

He's an insane psychopath with a ego that even needs a chair next to him (for the question marks that go with this sentence -> it could be a wrong translation of a Belgian expression). I don't like his personality, but I love the way he talks. Hey, he can dodge bullets and knows kung-fu for crying out loud, what more do you want? :D
Wesker is cool, but Jill is hot. :whistle:

does nae1 else like the minor characters? like mikheal from resi 3,marvin form resi 2, ruan rodrigo in code veronica, enrico richard froest kenneth and the rest of bravo team from resi 0 and 1(plus remake) i also like some of the better known characters like josh luis barry carlos billy and sheva and a few of the mains (mainly chris, jill, claire and wesker of course) i find leon and ada boring hunk is pretty cool, krauser is a great one-off charater but i dont think bringing him back would do much good.rebecca sherry steve(also i do feel sorry as ha has a terrible lifeand he tries to be cool) and ashley annoy me (espically ashley) due to acting so childish, not too keen on villians (expect wesker krauser and hunk as mentioned)- the inbreed ashfords and execalla, salazr, saddler annoy me but irving doesnt cause hes accent is awsome! (spolier for resi 5) i liked the bird woman but then it turned out to be jill so i stopped liking bird woman also marcus was quite a cool enemy with his leechs-i dont really get y so many people like birkin- id say he was rather boring as was annette. the BOWs are either cool (tyrant from resi and nemsis and a few others) or really dull and un-imaginvie (like salazar saddler irving and that bat thing from 5 and the "it" and uroboros)- they just get a basic animals (eg a bat and throw on tenticles and claws and mouths that open in 3 ways) rant over :)

ecpecially in separate ways, at the end where she's stalling saddler while leon escapes with ashley and she does that like mini battle where she's shooting at those barrels of oil. Then when she's defeated him (or so she thought) and she picks up the sample she's like
"Thank you... this is gonna be hard to explain at customs>" :D
Gotta' be Wesker. There has been no other iconic villain in anything ever.

I meant no-one AS iconic. I am sorry for my incoherency. I don't think pyramid head is that iconic. Silent Hill may not be my favourite game, so I may be bias towards my favourite game character, Wesker.
