Seems to be some heavy nods towards a "new" (his words) Code V coming to the Wii, but not to the psn or xbla.

Has me wondering if this is possibly a Wii zapper port/remake of Gun Survivor Code V. or indeed, as Code V is ripe with the main storyline, a setting for Umbrella Chronicles 2.

 Me needs!
I hope it's an entirely new CV game, to be honest. I like the old one, but it would be nice to find out more about the Ashfords. Or the Burnside family.

As a big Code veronica fan I will want this

I hope it's not an unrail-shooter like umbrella chronicols

CODE: Veronica X is one of my favorite RE titles so this would be some great news indeed. However, this just cements the fact that I will need to get a Wii at some point. ;D

I'm pretty sure that there will be more Wii-specific resi games coming as well. It's just the vibe I'm getting :D

I'll bet a port with wii contols which is just not what the Wii needs. Granted it hasn't got the Grpahics and power abilities of the 360 and PS3. But for Capcom to just keep bringing old Resident evil games with wii controls to the wii is down right insulting.

Strangely enough, it could very well tie in with this...

How is getting the Resident games and wii controls together insulting?Do you not have one,I like Resident Evil games for the wii like Resident Evil 4 i rented it for the wii i hardly played cuz i played the Game cude version a lot more so it bored me..
I loved my heart out with Umbrella Chronicle though they messed up the voises and lines..... and maps a lot it was kinda of sad but it was still fun.I also love the fact that you can get all the files in Chronicles from the games

Capcom USA are having a large launch event this week in San Francisco. Apparently there will be new game announcements (not confirmed to be RE specific). Yet given the focus of this event, I think the rumors could tie in well with whatever is announced this week.

Whom would I need to kidnap in order to prevent this from happening? The first UC left a bitter aftertaste in my mouth and screwed with the story more than it did what it was supposed to.

Whatever the announcements are, my wallet isn't going to like them.

I still have a few of the back catalogue to get, and now with RE5 x2 and 2 un-aanounced titles for the series... *sigh*

Well not insulting but annoying. Capcom could make a brand new Resident Evil for the Wii but instead is going to just port a old game with Wii controls. Once is enough. I have Resident evil 4 and Umbrella Chronicles which are great games. But it's not really worth paying AU $95.95 for a just a old resident evil game that I've played before, at least Umbrella Chronicles is a new game.

If you read the article properly you'll see its mostly supposition; it isn't confirmed to be a straight up Wii control port, the guy claims it's a "new" Code V. It's mostly likely Umbrella Chronicles 2.

Also, you don't have to buy it even if it was a straight up port. There are newer generations out there.

It's mostly likely Umbrella Chronicles 2.

Everything's possible. If it is so, than i understand why CAPCOM did not include RE2&CV screnarios into UC. Also we have a pretty nice plot in RE: Degeneration.

I honestly can't wait to find out about this. CV is my favourite game and a REmake of it would be a dream come true.

So it is Biohazard: The Dark Chronicles, more or less an UC sequel. I don't really know what it has to do with Code Vernoica, unless it covers the events in BH2 and CV, which were left out in UC.

One thing is for sure, never trust a marketing person and the press.

Some details below

"
- The game will be a shooting game
- The reticle has been changed
- it is now confirmed that the Leon and Claire will make an appearance in the game
- A Resident Evil 2 scenario is confirmed
- It will be developed by Cavia, just like "Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles"
- Masachika Kawata, producer of RE4 PS2/Wii, RE5 and RE: UC will be working on this game too
- less difficult than Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles
- slight simplified control scheme of Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles"

I think Code Veronica would fit in the game very well, and with the success of the first game then I am sure we will get a much better budget to improve its quality and fix several areas upon feedback from the first game's potential flaws.

I think it's going to be a fun game to look forward to. Can't wait to hear some more remixes of the previous songs. :)

I now know that Capcom doesnt care at all about Wii owners. They are dead set on offering Wii owners the poorest quality games possible so they can blame the user base for their poor sales. Heres a list so far..

Zack and Wiki, Adult game play with an art style designed for 5 year olds. Also doesnt help when one of Capcoms reps is on the TV at Gamestop letting everyone know that Z&W was a game intended for 5 year olds.

Resident Evil 4 3rd edition. Why release a game that has already been out two times already on different consoles? That is ok though Wii owners can look over that and bought almost 2 million copies of an already outdated game most had already played.. And how does Capcom reward Wii fans for buying RE4?

Resident Evil Umbrella chronicles. A casual on rails shooter rehashing past games. Wasnt even worth my time to try. More people bought RE 4 Wii edition than bought UC. SO what do we get next?

Dead Rising. Take a zombie game with hundreds of zombies on screen at once, made for a 3.2ghz system with 512mb ram. Cut out everything that made the game interesting, and cram what is left on an outdated engine designed to run on 233mhz machine. Just forget that the Wii is a 733mhz system. No wonder the game can barely show any zombies on screen.

Ok I also left out Spy Borgs, Their "Hardcore" Wii title That looked like something for kids who were fans of Teen Titans..

You guys can keep on betting fooled into buying remakes and ports in order tofund real AAA games for PS3 and 360 but after they announced yet another poor effort on Wii I quit. Keep MH3, Dont publish NMH2 I can live without it. Just please Capcom leave the Wii and never make another game for it again. Without your poor games the review average might actually jump a few points.

You miss the key, and perhaps only, point: they're marketing all those "remakes" and ports to new customers - the casual gamer that's probably never played any of them before. The world doesn't revolve around just one person.
