So, I saw this come up into my twitter feeds earlier:

Whilst sitting at the computer today, working as I do on various projects, I spotted a rather interesting Twitter message coming from Capcom’s Europe Senior Online Marketing & Community Manager Chiara Woolford. It seems as if Capcom are tapping “Shaun Of The Dead” star Simon Pegg for something related to Dead Rising 2.
The message read as follows:
@simonpegg (http://twitter.com/simonpegg) Simon, would it be possible to speak to you privately about a Capcom zombie game, please?
I’m not exactly sure in what context Capcom would want to speak with Simon Pegg regarding Dead Rising 2 but if it’s an in-game appearance, DLC skin or even just plain old advertising then I say to Capcom – DO IT!
I followed the link and came across all of the above, and I've got to say that it's very interesting!
Chiara has been extremely busy from the looks of things. :D
I really hope that a Dead Rising 2 event comes up for the community to meet Simon Pegg. That would be absolutely awesome, and having a cameo appearance in the game would be even more amazing!
I'm so excited right now!
What's everyone elses view on this? Aww, Chiara is still awesome, even in her absence.

Aww, I put it in general so that more people could speculate on it.
Now it'll be forgotten in the Dead Rising section. :(

Haha, yea, but I'm almost certain the next Capcom zombie game to arrive is Dead Rising 2. That is a game which I'll be getting on the release day, and I'm really hoping it will have an awesome collectors edition! :D

Simon Pegg making a cameo appearance in Resident Evil Portable would be awesome, or even a starring role...
Other than Dead Rising 2, that's all I could really think of, no word of any new zombie licenses, although it could have something to do with "Zombrex", Despite it says it's associated with Dead Rising 2, there's no official mention that I know of.
I'm not going to dismiss Dead Rising just yet though...

What about a version of Resident Evil mixed with Shaun of the Dead?
To be honest, I dont like Simon Pegg anymore, mainly because HE LIED TO ME! As a massive fan of Spaced, pretty much one of the best TV shows Ive ever watched, I both meet Simon Pegg and Nick Frost twice and both times asked them about making a third series and both times I was told and I quote...
We'd like to but what with all the films and other projects we're all very busy.
I still havnt seen or heard anything about the fabled third series which makes me infinately sad.
Ps. I don't actually hate him, Im just slightly bitter :mad: Tenebra if you are actually speaking with him, please tell him im still waiting on that darn third series!
Completely deviating here, did you ever thing that he might just do a voice over rather than actually being in a game maybe?
The mind boggles, But Simon would get :thumb::thumb: up from me.

lolz, well it pays to troll comic book shops, they did a signing in Forbidden Planet just before the Shaun of the Dead DVD came out. I phoned in sick at work and rolled up to London, totally worth it.
Also they made an apperance at MCM a few years back. Not to rub it in even more but I got my Spaced dvds signed and I got a prequal comic for Shaun of the Dead (also signed!) that shows how the outbreak starts. I'd scan it and put it in the bragging thread but its a large comic and wont all fit...

Completely deviating here, did you ever thing that he might just do a voice over rather than actually being in a game maybe?
It could be anything, but actually voicing a character in the game, or being somewhere to help promote it seem like the most logical options to me.
Maybe I shouldn't be so sure of myself at times, but I'm adamant it's for Dead Rising. I don't see why it'd be for Resident Evil, when the extra content for Resident Evil 5 has only just come out.
Capcom don't need to promote that any further, and in my opinion, Dead Rising 2 is the next option in line. ;)
I crave that game. I just need a hands on with it! It would make me all warm and fuzzy inside. :p
Besides, Simon Pegg is known for a comical zombie flick.....game wise, that is also equal to Dead Rising 2.

wow!! i'd love to have some signed stuff too! :D
anyway, in Italy Shaun of the Dead is unknown by anyone but me, so it would be impossible for me to have such great oportunities to meet them. for example, Spaced has never been dubbed in italian :D

The third film has its own Wikipedia page. It seems to have something to do with the end of the world.
