View Full Version : Question about Co-Op in Lost Planet 2

I was wondering if someone could clarify the coop aspect of the game Lost Planet 2 for me.

My understanding is that the game supports up to 4 players online in coop mode. However, does this mean that you cannot play coop until all four slots are occupied, or does that mean my friend and I can play online coop just between us. So for example, can we play 2 player coop only in a private game?

In the demo it's 3 players coop, and I set the private slots to 3, and started the game and it was one player only with no one else. I haven't added anyone to my friends list (only recently got a ps3), so I don't know if inviting someone would mean I could play the game with my friend and myself without strangers jumping in.

Thanks in advance

Yep you can set any prefences you like, the remaining two slots in your squad will be filled by AI if you set your game to private 2 player. You can also play 2 player spit screen if you want.

The Demo supported 4 players IIRC

another co-op question, can you drop into a game already in progress or do you all have to join up before the mission starts?

If somebody drops out they are replaced by AI for your game rather than turning into a statue or dissapearing.

We don't think you are able to jump into a game already in motion however you can set up a game at any checkpoint. Seeing as these last about 15 minutes each there shouldn't be too long that you're waiting to join up a game in Co-op.

thats good, I hate it when a game finishes just because someone cuts out.
