View Full Version : So much potential

This game had so much potential but is completely let down by a few small things...

The braking is bad but i surpose that's something you can get used to over time.

Qualifying is just ridiculous.. Honestly 10th place being 10 seconds off and 20th being 19 seconds off? Come on now...

20 Riders in 125? I see no reason why not to have them all.

Automatic gears (on 125s) You have to slow down to about 70-80mph to get it to change down from 6th gear sometimes and for a lot of fast corners that's just unacceptable.

No customizable control settings? No reason not to have it.

And ofcourse.. worst of all.. 3 laps in career mode.. Are you kidding me? Why not just add a feature to choose how many laps you can do like in split screen? 3 laps races is not what MotoGP is about.. there's absolutely no race craft in such a short race.

I would of thought that you'd take the good things from MotoGP 08 and implement them into this one.. Clearly i was wrong.. Disappointed and i shall probably be sending it back.

All very good points. Plus you can't seem to save your bike set ups. This game could and should be great but it seems they go out of there way to put really stupid things in and leave out things that we Know should be there after playing the game for a couple of hours. DON'T YOU GET NORMAL PEOPLE TO TEST THE GAME BEFORE RELEASING IT!!!!!!!

I found that the Automatic gears (on 125s) you have to slows down to about 70-80mph to get it to change down to. Strange:confused:

Also, where can you view your bike other then in the livery/colour picker room? would of thought that there would be some sort of show room to view it?

Also i can't seem to find out what type of bike I'm using other then on the standings board? I know its an aprilla but what type?

Apart from that, I love the game, easy to pick up and play 8/10

I have a question, You use both the left stick to put the rider down and the tuck in button? I'm asking because I think using the left stick does nothing for the acceleration! The tuck in yes it accelerates harder!
I'm thinking of using only the tuck in button and not use the rider down (left stick front).
What are your opinions since I'm still adjusting to the game and the very different way it feels.....

Oh, almost forgot! Is it me or when racing we don't hear the other bikes :chin::chin::chin:

I might be wrong but in real racing we hear something right?

Can it be that my game is malfunctioning or you don't hear either:bash:

I don't really use the weight distribution, probably only at the start and going down and up hills. It might come into play latter on in the game like the bike set-ups.

Yeah you can hear the other bikes, They give you a great race aswell just a shame Im always on Pole, :chin:

Im also sure I seen a comment by someone a few days back that you need wind noise in cockpit view, In my version of the game I can hear the wind noise when going down a fast straight like Muggello for instance, It gets louder as you pick up speed. Like ive said many time this game has so many good points its literally annoying me now that the little bad things are stopping me playing.

Theres something Ive thought of whilst playing another game, Imagine Valentino or Stoner wanting to sit down and have a race on the xbox/PS3 and seeing theres only 3 laps in an official Moto Gp game with all their names etc etc in the game, I dont think they be too pleased. They are trying to capture the casual audience but I dont know how many times this has been proven that games like this will only EVER attract people that like/follow the sport or racing fans in general, and all the racing fans I know like it as realistic as possible.

Ok, I went to play with high volume and this happens,
On the start I hear the other bikes but for example on a straight if I slow down or am stopped and the others pass me I don't hear anything, just my bike.....

I bought the game. I like playing the game. No Capcom Bashing.
I posted the question because I thought it could be a problem of my game (still wondering).

Did I offend you? Then, I am sorry. Didn't intend to!:pit:

I stop my bike. The others pass and no sound from other bikes!
Does this happen to anyone else?
I play on PS3.

tommysteel (http://www.capcom-europe.com/forum/member.php?u=395141), that may well be a legitimate problem. Let him have his say. He's not bashing any company just saying what he thinks is a problem, just because others haven't posted the same problem doesn't mean the problem doesn't exist.

BTW I don't agree with the reviews out atm ;) they are missing a lot of factors.

Really enjoying the game :)

totally agree with this. I think the reviews haven't explored the game completely. Yes, there are a few things that could change to make it better, but it's already pretty darn good imo :thumb:

Hey Mush, Ive spoken to your other half on 07 a couple of times, the guy obviously has a passion for bike games - whats his take on 09/10?

Hi Lastchance,

We only got the game yesterday so really haven't had enough time to explore everything. He is currently doing the career mode and has just unlocked the MotoGP season. So far he is really enjoying it, especially the research, seems to have an addiction to researching his bikes lol

If this tells you anything he has been on it non stop since yesterday, think it's glued in his Xbox 360 :)

So yes he is really liking it :)

Are the quali's in 250cc and MotoGP class still too easy, or is this only in 125cc?

Unfortunately qualifying on pole in career mode is too easy on the 250cc's and the GP bikes too :(
