View Full Version : My [Spoiler Free] Thoughts from 6 Hours In!

I just finished a pretty decent playthrough of the game and I am very impressed. That being said, I've yet to come close to finishing. I think I am about halfway but I am not 100% sure. So far, I've clocked up 6 hours.

Heaps of boss battles, some really nice and interesting characters (I really like Sheva) and a bunch of cutscenes that aren't too long but aren't too short either. The cutscenes feel just like movies, and the characters react just as you would expect them too. Voice acting is top notch as always, and there's alot of emotion, particularly in Sheva's face which adds to it ALOT.

I particularly like the interactions between Chris & Sheva as things start to go a little less as planned, and some of the interactions between Birdwoman and Irving are nice too - I like their relationship (though I've not seen a lot of them).

New weapons are fairly awesome too, with some just being down right fun (to give a hint, it was featured in RE4 but was an enemy-exclusive weapon). There's heaps to unlock too.

Some really awesome flashback scenes too! Very nice for the old school RE fan.

Within the first two hours, this game has already surpassed RE4 as being so much more enjoyable and just downright disturbing. Some of the worst enemies in the game also come simply from nature - and are definitely the creepiest.

The game for me oozes atmosphere. The opening scene where Chris is walking down the streets of Kijuju as the villagers stare is something that I cannot ever forget - the eeriness of the whole situation as the citizens just stop doing their cruel and inhumane acts just to stare at you as you walk down the main road. Brilliant stuff.

Cannot wait to put some more time into this tomorrow. =)

And, the Asian Editions for those interested. I'll also remind you that, as promised, I'll have some better quality pictures soon =)

That's one shiny steel box and the chainsaw usbs will come in handy I am sure. :)

Have fun mate and hope to join you in a week's time!Tell me if you want to do some co op too I like to join to be Sheva with her move to impale people.

What do you think of the co op areas so far where you need to work with Sheva in order to advance?

How are you finding it solo? Ive only ever played it co-op and it was awesome, but I imagine parts like the driving bit and boss battles are more ticky with AI Sheva.

To be honest, co-op isn't really an issue to me. Sheva can definitely hold on her own, she's hardly died whereas I am dying a lot =P She never really wastes ammo either, and if you have a weapon she basically makes it a priority to get ammo she picks up to you. It's a nice system.

I really wanna play as Sheva though, and I won't mention it here, but the onyl reason I do is because she does explore a few places that Chris doesn't.

My only REAL complain about playing Solo was the infamous "You hold the light, I'll shoot" segment. Was kinda hard but I got through it in the end. =)

You have this game before I do? And a chainsaw USB? *Cries*

No, it sounds like a great game. Cannot wait.

Glad to hear from someone who has played the actual game than those fools who rant about a demo :thumb:.
