hi i tweeted capcomeuro and they said check out the forums for info on chance to play ssfiv before release. I've had a look around but I can't see anything so thought I would make this post :horray:. Could someone from Capcom update me.:confused:
These things usually pop up when they decide to hold one, so I suggest you should make yourself comfortable around these parts, get to know some people, and enjoy. ;)

Edit: Well technically, there's actually a post out on it already, in the German sections, because the German players will be the very first to get the chance to play it. ;)
I really hope we get one soon, the americans got yet another fight club yesterday, whats that 4 or 5 the've had now, im so jelous :(

OK - as promised here are the details for our first Super Street Fighter IV event.
We have limited spaces; so to make things interesting tell me in less than 100 words why we should invite you along.
This is strictly invite only and not an open event.
When: April the 9th
Time: 10am-9pm
Location: London - TBC with invitees
We do have an open event in Glasgow on the 17th of April, see flyer for further details.
Simply put I love Street Fighter and all Capcom Fighters. Since having that first taste competion its become an obsession and they're pretty much all I play. Heres a few things I've done for my love of sf. I spent everyday refreshing the gameshark store site just to get my hands on the 2nd batch of madcatz TE sticks,the £150 it cost was worth every penny may I add. I've taken endless trips to London just to play this game at the arcade and get that oldschool feeling. I have racked up 700 hours of SF on my xbox:shocked:.
I would like to be chosen to go to the special event because I am absolutely hooked on street fighter 4. I love the franchise and other Capcom fighting titles, the fighting genre itself is the only genre I've really stuck with throughout my gaming years. I've bought SFIV on the PS3 and PC and i have clocked up many hours. The Friday after the event is my birthday and I should finally get a TE stick, an invite to this event would really make April a SUPER month and Easter holiday.

Besides the fact I'm from London and the Glasgow event would take 2 overnight coaches (Still going anyway!) I've been managing the SFIV Facebook group since the day the original was announced. Once Super was announced I renamed the group, brought in admins and started supplying info to members on updates about the game when available. I've bought multiple copies of SFIV, 1x PC and 2x 360 (cracked the first dragging it along to work with my stick). I'm eager to get on SSFIV and experiment with what the newcomers can do, and what tricks the oldies have.
Simply put i love the street fighter genre, ive been playing street fighter from such an early age and have strived to become the "world warrior", the opportunity to play super would be in a simple term - Epic. Im a decent player and love variety as super has to offer. Playing street fighter 4 is such a big passion to me and i get a buzz out of than anything else, super would be the biggest craving yet!

I personally really enjoy street fighter 4 and have been looking forward to Super since its announcement, as I'm very anxious to see the alterations and experiment with the new things in the game. Fighting games are the one genre that can keep my interest and make me want to get better. Living in London, I go to Casino arcade weekly to raise my game and play against the best in the country to try and get actively involved in the UK scene. I've put quite a lot of time into the game, playing it at home and at the arcade, and it would be a great privilege if I would be considered to attend the event.

Hey, I'm new here but when I saw this I had to sign up.
I'd love to go for the pure reason that the SF series, along with a little help from my brother, got me into video games. Whenever he picked me up from primary school, we'd always take a pit stop down at our local arcade. I've owned a Street Fighter game on every consol I've had. SF 2 Turbo on SNES (which I still have hooked up in my room), SF 3 on Dreamcast, and prior to SF4, my personal favourites Alpha 2 & 3 on PS1. It's only a matter of time before I get SSF4, but a sneak peak would be like heaven.

Street Fighter 2 on the SNES was the first game that I ever completed, and as I only knew how to button mash, I took the time out on Street Fighter 4 to learn the combo's, and am now really good on d-pad.
This could be a good opportunity for me to improve my skills on a fighting stick, as well as seeing some familiar faces.

Ok here goes:
I would love to go because I can’t FCAD to ultra, and I’m rubbish at Street Fighter, I never get the combos right, and anyone can kick my arse, I know they will, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t love it. It is the only fighting game to have stood the test of time, and I’ve always stuck by street fighter, in fact there aren’t many games in the series that I do not own, and most important of all; because there is no one better than the Red Cyclone!
I wasn't gonna claim I am good at street fighter cause i know it isn't true, so at least I'm being honest ^__^

This is a problem with inviting random people, and not regulars of the community. Not everyone will respect the company or appreciate the fact that Capcom paid for their drinks, the venue, the food, and let you play a game before release. Some people still want to take advantage wherever they can.
It's disgusting to think that someone would resort to stealing after being given such a great opportunity to go.
I'd have loved to have gone, as well as JDK and WoodlandBunny484, but we didn't get an invite, so it's sad to see that someone who went instead of us, actually stole a tournament stick.
No wonder Leo was peed. I would be too, if I arranged and hosted an event, and people were stealing things there. Personally, I'd have made every single person there, empty their bag. Maybe next time you should get people to check the bags (on the way in and out) in future, Capcom.

They did do bag searches on the way out. Unfortunately the person must have left before they noticed that it was missing :(
Might have been a good idea to check off the names of people who left at the end, which would have left a list of the few people that left early (unfortunately I only just thought of this)
Other than that incident, it was a good day and I hope everything else went smoothly after we all left, looking forward to future events :)
I'm still hyped about my TE S edition being signed by Ono :D

It's a big shame about the stick? Was it not found at the end when they were searching bags? Somebody must have left with it before they started packing up.

Ouch, too bad about the stick. This has happened before in another Neo Empire event. Make sure you guys keep an eye out on your stuff in the future. At the end of the day many people are still just "internet people". Not your friend (until that bond is eventually made).
Anyway, sounds like you guys had a blast! Would've loved to go *sniff*. Oh well, Exceed it is!
