I'm rather enjoying the game... admittedly it's the other end of the scale from a bike sim, but fun all the same.

Anyways, post up your best lap time from the time trial so we can get an idea as to the pace people are playing at...

1:34.05 (Pramac Ducati)

There's easily a 1:33 in there, but I'm still learning to judge the rear brake. Doesn't stop me pulling some mad slides though. Has to be as low as a 1:31 for the hardcore out there.

P.S. No negativity in this thread please, laptimes only.

I made a 1.31.06 with Jorge Lorenzo. (Yamaha M1)

I mostly use the front brake instead of rear, i only use rear when I'm entering a corner to hot. once entering a corner i let it go than brake a little bit once that is done i give gas for like 50% and than full throttle all the way.

So people who suggest automatic tuck in, hell no ! It's better to tuck in manually rather than automatic, it makes you more faster it's only a shame for the Manual shifters that they can't adjust there own controller setup but you know we gotta live with it, Bottom line !

That's pretty good, the 1.48 record in the real live is from Lorenzo also, i think he must talk to Monumental, perhaps he can make that time with their help !

Man you talk BS ! You can't make a bike game that realistic, even a little kid realizes that !

I got a 1.35.22 with Hayden and a 1.35.45 with Lorenzo. The huge gap between real and game lap times does concern me a bit but Im still counting down the days!

Why you think you can't make it ? I have played other games that real times equals to game times. For example, GP500 for PC ( year 2000 ) or simply the old PSP MotoGP. I dont want a "exact" time, but at least a "real" time. If the real record is 1.48, it must be at least a little hard to get a better time, what it's not logical, it's to ride a 15 seconds faster time, it's sounds a joke.

I usually develop web based games, they are much more easy to develop than a PS3 game, but man, the relationship between space and time, it's the same in all the games, it's a phisic constant, and it's not a difficult parameter to adjust.

The problem in motoGP 09/10 are, first, the brakes, you can brake very very late without problem, and that's simply a full arcade feature. Second, you can full throttle at the exit of the corners whenever you want, that's not real, and you spend very little time to ride all the main straight, i think the same than a lot of users, "full arcade" it's not for me.

But dont say "You can't make a bike game that realistic", because some games have made that years ago.

Sure you can, but what i mean that it isn't possible is that making a 95% realistic bike game would be so freaking boring !

Gamers these days wanna have a game that is exciting and enjoyable, make a race game so realistic and you we'll suffer from immediate tiredness!

What you experience in a real race can't be felt in a game it would be to slow that's why game manufactures made it Arcade, and when it's Simulation than still.. it wouldn't be as realistic as how it should be in the real GP world.

Gp500 and the Motogp ''Namco'' series where extremely boring compared with THQ/Climax's Motogp series. Back in the 90's people would love Gp500 because they never experienced games from this decade, but that changed.

Bottom line ? Wait for the actual game, i mean look at the Demo, we gave Monumental feedback from the day they started and they gave us this, that is just not right xD and it's to simple and you can just smell something is not right. I think Monumental is playing a game with us right now, no wonder there not talking. I think we are going to experience a hell of a game !!

What for you is "exciting and enjoyable" perhaps for me and others is "imediate tierdness", it's a question of what you likes.

A good example of "what to do" is the SBK "series", 08 and also 09. You have an "arcade" mode, that's great, but you have also a "simulation" mode, so players can choose what is funny for each of them.

The lap times are not making a game bored or not, is the handling and feeling to the player who make it fun or not. Each player have his preferences, but in this version of MotoGP, it's too much "arcadey" taste for all the purists of the genere.

Simply, Monumental choose the "arcade" way, but not only that, also as an "arcade" game, has a lack of grip and brake feeling, when i ride in the straigth of Mugello, it remembers me a "Wipe Out" game ...

I keep waiting SBK X, seems to be what i want, and have what i like.

Lap times only please people.

This is not intended as another topic where people can critisise the game.

There are specific topics for that.

1.33.26 auto Kallio. I think with some dedication to it a high 31 or low 32 is achievable for me.

1.34.87 manual kallio find it a bit fiddly with the button layout but I will get quicker:)

Well you know i respect your opinion, but this is how i feel about the game.
I love Arcade though nor Sim, but either way the game must have a fast game play in order to enjoy it.

Motogp 09/10 is definitely better than SBK X the only thing i noticed is the evolving track, which is a pretty good feature !

And i know you gonna say, yeah but still... 09/10 is crap, well you know what you just played the Demo and this is a early judgment. Like i said wait for the full game ! Whilst looking to the Motogp 09/10 trailers i see the physics are allot different compared with the demo, i see more responsive steering, Tires are burning etc etc so what we experienced right now is just nothing !

But i respect Revolution's his judgment, so END OF STORY amigo !

1.35.70 with Nicky Hayden I believe.

1.31 is amazing! Well done!

Really enjoying the demo, not hardcore or extremely realistic but it's a game, it's gotta be fun and it is :)

You gotta understand the fine definition between a ''judgment'' and a ''opinion'' player, rather you read the previous posts and than give a proper question instead of just roaming and moaning like a crazy ........ !

You're just one of those epic failures that post sh** on forums to get attention from others, but you know what what man, i can't blame you, if you know what I'm saying xD ??

Go to other forums and stop hating on the people who are trying to create.... a positive atmosphere rather than a negative :shhh:

1:34.67 Hayden/Manual

I'll give the 250s a proper go tonight and get back with my time.

As for the GP bikes, I'm not much faster using manual (got down to 1:33.95 last night), but I've started using the rear brake less and less now.

Only touching it if i've gone in too hot and need to bring the rear wheel round to complete the corner.

Unfortunately he doesn't have recording equipment. But he is a legendary gamer. Most here probably don't know him, but he dominates the games he plays. I know him through MotorStorm series but he is great is all FPS/Action Advent type of games as well.

Youtube search will give some good videos of others racing with him. I have a few in my channel as well. Hopefully he gets the game. I know I am :stretcher:
