Hi andywuzc,
Sometimes its not the fact of losing battle points. I myself have quit a few games online, the only reason for doing so was because whoever i was against took Ryu or Blanka or Sagat and just constantly spamed the Hadouken, Blankas vertical roll and countless Tiger Shots. Im not saying that you do that at all and the people you are referring to would probably have quit the game long before they were about to lose if that was the case, the people you are referring to are generally people who for some reason value the BP over improving their own performance, which is totally rediculous. They just want to go around and brag to people look ive got 3000 + battle points but you can bet that youll never ever see any of those players in an official face-to-face tournament battle, anyone can spam and quit, it takes great skill to become a good Street Fighter player, and unfortunately it is those of us who strive to improve ourselves that are beginning to suffer and become irritated at the hands of these who will play the game for about a month, get all the trophies and then sell the game.
Hello KenMasters
Well, I see what you mean. They do everything to avoid losing battle points.
Referring to the playing style of your previously met opponents, in my opinion, there are only a few special moves which you can use and if they bombard you with hadoken there are also ways to counter their playing style right? Of course, some characters have some advantages over others. If one player first choose one character and second player chooses another one that has big advantage over him. I can understand he quites after one round. In my case, It was nearly the end of the match ( within 2 strikes) and the character he chose was sagat. I was using Honda.
When I use Honda, the options that I have are the horizontal rocket attacks or vertical crush down. So, if I often do that tricks, it is normal i think.
What else can you play? Let him tiger me till I am dead? I have to jump or do horizontal rocket to avoid his moves.
The only time when I think people play cheap is when they grab you after a weak attack or after a hit.
Anyway, no matter I lose of win. It is only a Game. I will never disconnect the internet cable or leave the game if my opponents play better than me.

That is indeed a very honourable way of playing the game and respecting your opponent, i also have no problem in losing to skilled players who are clearly better than myself, i just dont like cheap players, i know its only a game but i still feel its an insult and creates a very boring, unfair match :)
Hello Kenmaster
What is the definition of being cheap? As I said grabbing people after a hit or a strike is cheap for me. For the rest, it doesnt matter how my opponents play, it is always good game. I am always learning from them by the fact that they have a different way of playing and stimulate me to find a way to counter them.

Everyone is entitled to their own particular style of playing, but i define cheap as a player who will continually use the same attacks repeatedly and never even attempt any other move, im a little biased in that i like to mix up the moves when im playing..going from special moves to throws and the lighter puches and kicks and sometimes that style of play just doesnt work. But i cant see the point in spamming moves, just because they work and keep the opponent on the ground or at a disadvantage, if im fighting someone online and im winning easily, then ill tend to try out differnt moves and different combinations, regardless of whether or not i lose the match in the end, its given me an opportunity to expand my repertoire, i never spam for the sake of a win, thats what i define as cheap...but then again, i guess thats just my choice in the way that i like to play the game and i shouldnt really complain when others take advantage as thats what the game is about, getting the upper hand on your opponents mistakes

Hi Guys
ok i have read all of the comments being made and let me just say this, if you were at a tournament and sum guy started spamming attacks left right and centre and he won because of it wot do u think would happen? .. im aware that its only online fighting but when championship mode comes out this will be something that will happen
and in regards to being thrown i dont have a problem with it if it is done correctly what i dont like is when some one uses zangief and just keep doing it over and over
