Lost Planet 2 - First To Play Event - 19th March [Archive]

Afternoon All,

We're holding yet another of our infamous first to play events. Giving you the chance to get full 8v8 multiplayer & 4 player co-op.

It'll be in East London (venue to be confirmed with attendees) starting @ ~6pm on Friday the 19th of March.

If you're an LP2 fan this is an event not to be missed! As ever spaces are limited, so get in early. I know you're all good boys and girls but only post if you're able to attend - otherwise your ticket will go to waste. :(

Closing date is 9th of March – I’ll PM further details at that point.

As much as I'd love to go (flew in for last year's Bionic Commando first-to-play event), I doubt I'd be able to squeeze in a short Norway<->UK round trip this time (at least not as of writing this :p)

Afternoon.

Yep that's right - you can turn up earlier if you like and hang around in the bar but the event doesn’t officially kick off until 5:30/6

But you won't miss anything by not being there @ the strike of 6 (just less game time!)

Let me know if you have any more questions - I'm looking forward to seeing the veterans and the new faces too.

Im getting well pumped up for this event, I might actually have to replay some of LP1 just to get back into the swing of the game
I highly doubt they will let you do that since the achievement list is not out yet it would cause so trouble you would not believe, a lot of people would lose their jobs from something like that and you would most likely be banned from any and all events in the future

That's a negative ghost rider, the code still isnt final so doesnt contain the full functionality that you'd see in a final build.

Was an awesome event, I absolutely loved what you guys did to the club, the multiplayer was great fun, would of hoped to have played some singleplayer but there were never any seats free, had to leave earlier cause we didnt want to get home too late.

But the multiplayer was great :D

Wow hey everyone, the First to Play event was amazing, deffo a big thank you to all those who organised it! It was awesome talking to Fonix loads as well. Deffinately the most memorable event I've ever been to! The promo company that was there too were really nice, was chatting to them a lot towards the end. Me and Hikirusai grabbed us a couple of chairs and some of the mini posters, I'm still buzzing bigtime (also still feeling hungover from the free bar! Didn't help that I was being offered more drinks everytime i was on Co Op lmao!), I'm so up for more of these events,

Still feel a bit woohoo and messed due to how long I stayed up after the event (wandering around London with Charmed, even heading to a Casino at one point and winning £1.25), as well as reeling from the fact that I turned up late to the event due to going in the wrong direction multiple times.

However, from what little I experienced of the event, it was fantastic. Good job on the day, Capcom.

Bring on the next event (and this time I'll be there several hours EARLIER to give me time to get lost again but without missing valuable event time). :\

That was an amazing night!!! Great games great food (In incredibly small portions:P) great drinks with Great people. Awesome job with that event, I hope everyone go their free chair. Also if anyone does remember me, I was the ginger kid who spent alot of time on Co Op, telling people not to die... Then dying myself! Feel free to add me on XBL, same username.

Managed to finish hard mode before getting escorted off the big projector screen at the end of the night too.

Hey everyone, I just wanted to say a very big thank you for the great event!

This goes to Fonix, Mao and Leo, and of course Capcom. ;)

I had a great time. The drinks were good, the game was awesome, and I even saw a gaming superstar at the demonstration. :p

It was good chatting to you, Fonix. Mao came up and greeted us (us being the usual Capcomites who hang around like a bad smell. You can't get rid of us, haha.), I think I saw Leo, and it was great to see everyone again.

I was really happy to see Chris, Jack, Alex, Diogo, James, Steph and Dan Seto (from D'toid), and we ended up going out after the event.

It's nice that although we're members of the community, we're all pretty much friends. Whenever any newcomers turn up, I hope they'll feel just as welcome as what I, and I'm sure many others do.

All I can say now is that I won't be heavily drinking for a very long time. I kind of have patchy memories of the night, but at least I had a good time regardless. :)

I'm really looking forward to the game, and will be buying it as soon as I can. Thanks a lot for the chair and snack food, too.

I love coming to these events, and I think I've turned up to every single one so far, just to support Capcom. That's where most of my money goes, haha. If I'm invited to future events, I can pretty much guarantee that I'll be there. I'm really looking forward to Dead Rising 2. :D

Sounds like a valid plan for future events actually. If someone can actually do that for me (black t-shirt with Capcom font for the usernames, colour and all) then I'd be more than happy to pay for it. Someone should make a thread on General who is knowledgeable on this so that we can all agree on a particular design or whatnot.

Well Im deffinately getting it on xbox, mainly for the extra content ala Gears of War characters. I know there only skins for multiplayer but extras are extras!

Ill try and win it for PS3 or steal it from somewhere. I got SF4 on both PS3 and XBOX and I only ever play the xbox version. Getting the same game on different platforms is kinda pointless from my experience
