I hope so, and think so (by playing the demo). It seems very similar to resi 4, but with a more appropriate story. That cant be bad, can it?

I dont think its bad lol.
Loved the demo and it has co-op which for me is a bonus.

Everyone looks forward to the return of the lickers :) Of course, Id love to see the T-Veronica virus put into the more normal enemies, instead of only seeing Alexia, Steve and the father of the Ashford twins (I think that was an experimental form of the T-veronica?) injected with it.

Will it live up to MY expectations? Probably. When I played the game, it beat them...but that was only the first 2 chapters...it may go downhill or uphill, you never know.
Will it live up to OTHERs expectations? Again it all depends on what theyre expecting. A traditional RE game? No. A game exactly like RE4? Maybe. A cross between the two? Probably.
Will it live up to the Hyperbole created by the PR or reviews/previews? Most certainly not, because very few games do.
I dont think it will live up to the fans expectations.
Ive already heard the anti-resident evil 4 hate mob yell Its too much like Resident Evil 4 enough times to even care. People expect closure in terms of story, but what one person thinks is a good way to end a story dosnt necersearilly mean another thinks so. Visting other gaming forums shows controls, the live action inventory and Shevas AI (though praised by the media) have all come into question by anyone who has played the demo.

I wouldnt take much notice of what other people are saying on other forums. Some of them are just fans of other genres and have never played a Resi game before. And they, along with many other people, have played nothing but a demo, and cannot vision some of the games later levels, bosses, set-peices etc. Since RE 5 doesnt follow suit to their type of games, itimmediantly sucks and is dated :mad:
There are tons of games on the Xbox 360 --which I own--that are VERY simmilar to the previous games. RE 5, from what has been said, is very difficult with its limited ammo. This is what resi should be like, asside from the few control issues here and there.
If the story is good and actually moves forward ,unlike RE 4 -_- then Im happy enough. Only time will tell if it lives up to the hype, but it really depends on each persons preference and such ;)
Theres no definitively answer to that question, some people will love it, others will hate it (like everything in life).
But I believe the majority will like it :)
hopefully it should be take back as the number 1 game in the world at the moment that game is grand theift auto 4 hopefully resi 5 should take its place.
