I drew this after playing SF4 today...I think everyone has felt my pain at least once or twice.

I hate cheaters... SO I hate Seth.

He won't let me complete the game with all characters on Normal! (No achieve,ment for me!) D:
*leaps up and strangles Seth* :p
But...he's...so...easy...
Here's your flowchart, for which you don't need to know any advanced combo's:
"BEGIN!"
*Jump forward over his forward Fierce Punch*
Jump kick - Crouching kick.
Get back while he's down.
*Block the Sonic Boom(s) that come your way*
Do an anti-air attack, since at this time, Seth is jumping your way with his walljump.
(Don't try to counter him in mid-air, his jumping medium kick has great priority and CPU WILL use it)
*Block the Machinegun kick he'll use when he recovers*
Do a focus attack
Dash after hitting, do a backwards throw. (Back + grab)
After this point, he should have so little health left you should have no problem winning as long as you don't keep jumping into his Shoryuken.
As JDK can confirm, I like playing Seth in Player matches, because he has such interesting moves.
To play him, you really got to be knowing what you're doing though, something I don't.
But there's something wonderfull about linking Seth's crouching HP into the EX vacuum, then repeating it 5 times with a full EX-bar. <3
Fighting game bosses of this generation have been ridiculously easy.. I long for the days when bosses were actually considered unbeatable.

Actualy it would be cool if him and Dural from Virtua Fighter got together and married!

I used to hate him, but after some practice he is quite easy to beat (or as I would say "to kill" when playing as Akuma :D)! And his hard trials are not too hard to finish...

lol I feel better, reading your posts here, as there are others players who struggle to beat Seth -at least, it shows it isn't a copy error on my SFIV disk haha :o-
Well, I like him when I play him but not anymore when I face him in versus XD (During some rounds he looks really cheated in Arcade! O_O)

I hate seth the above link should make it easier for you but in all honesty i hope they make him gill op just so we can get rid of his jb.hp spam its lame for 80% of the cast
Seth is doing his Boss's Job well. I mean he is supposed to be a pain in the ass.
I managed to defeat him in the hardest mode of difficulty with Dan so nothing impossible there and I'm nothing like a good player.
In versus mode, in the hands of someone who know how to use him he is very annoying tho and should be weakened.

I have not played to many fighting games but i do remember Shin Akuma from SSF2T and Gill with his ressurection thing in SF3, thats what i call cheating :p
I think Seth is doing a good job both as a boss and as a playable character. Not crazy hard but still gives some struggle and frustration the first times fighting him ^^

Can you tell me EXACTLY how Seth is cheating?
Unblockable, unavoidable fireballs?
A series of hits that does massive chip damage?
An insta-kill?

No, I don't recall him having any of those,
So, what exactly is cheating about him? :p
And before you answer, I'll remind you that advanced players and even people like me, can pull off the teleport+EX piledriver at will.
(The teleport animation makes it easier to buffer in the 360 then from crouching block. ;) )

i hate sagat, akuma,seth n blanka (sometimes i hate blarog n vega too ) jajaajaja :p
Nothing gainst good Bosses.
But at the moment in most of the Fightinggames have Spamming-Bosses (for exampel Azazel in Tekken 6)
And Seth is a real big spammer! So I would really like to join.

Seth is a very easy boss for a 2D fighting game...
I want to see you try and beat Igniz or Magaki from KOF2001 and KOFXI. That's what I call Brokenly difficult! Even I-NO from GGX2 is a mare mid boss compared to them!

Ack, nothing is worse than beating all the finest warriors in the world, topping it with your rival, only to get beaten up by Dr.Manhattan's retarded cousin...
It's strange how I can beat him in a wealth of difficulty modes, yet I always struggle with his easier incarnations, all because he just throws and sonic booms me to death.
So yeah, lemme join the club.

Seth as a boss isnt the problem imo, No one is really playing arcade mode anymore really. Seth the useable character is a huge problem even the likes of wong and diago have expressed there wish for him to be banned as have the french who have banned him.
On paper you just need to get a hold of him one or twice but seth has an insane keep away/run away game thus in reality 50% of the cast find him insanely difficult to beat.
His combos are also murder by numbers by which i mean there exstreamy easy to use in game and his ultra takes forever and is almost unavoidable as is his super. giefs match is 10 - 0 in many peoples eyes.
Seth is like sim but without the weaknesses which is mind bogglingly lame.
I play a guy from evenhubs called peffico i suggest anyone try and beat him with chun or really anyone out of the top teir.... thats why he should be banned
