Remember the game that was going to be announved via Xbox Live on Monday? Well, it appears all the announcing has been done!

Capcom have today globally announced Lost Planet 2 via Xbox Live. The video features quite a bit of gameplay footage and is available from the main dashboard of the US Marketplace, but for now the marketplace is only displaying "Top Secret" and won t allow a download. lol, hopefully all hell will break loose if this is indeed an exclusive game. I wonder if it will feature story this time around, though.

Looks fandabbydozy.
However, I would much prefer to play this on my PlayStation 3. Whatever floats Capcoms MULTIPLATFORMAPPROACHTOFUTURETITLES boat. :D
Then again, this has not been confirmed as an exclusive, so there is no need to panic. Given Lost Planets popularity and stand-out acclaim on the 360, its only natural for the sequel to be revealed through Xbox Live.
looks nice but i wonder if theyl change the multiplayer so you could choose if you want to play with people as skilled as you or with pro players wich lost planet 1 lacked

I loved the first game. Theres something about it that just makes me keep going back for more. I cant wait for this.
I wonder if this be released to coincide with the forthcoming movie.
Edit: Nice to see the change in scenery.

I hope not! Isnt the movie fairly far away?
Last I heard was that David Hayter was still working away on a script, plus the quickest turn around for a film was one year so it could be possible but its not likely. We might see this next year and then the LP movie the following year.

The story will focus on the many Snow Pirate groups, not on the main character like in LP1. The best feature in LP2 is the co-op mode in my opinion, will be a lot of fun kill Akrids with 3 others ^^

It truly does look like a cross mix of Lost Planet and Monster Hunter. I hope there are heaps of new Akrid that are just as massive as the one we saw in the trailer.

Loved playing the first and story was fantastic for it so lookin forward to seeing what happens to Wayne next on this game.Hope Wayne is still involved in the story even if it revolves around Snow pirates. :)
It should definetly be a lot of fun playing with other players fighting all new kinds of huge monsters!

Id imagine that maybe they couldnt renew the contract with the Korean actor who plays Wayne in the game, hence why this change in direction.

been waiting for this. Dont really care much about the campaign game but it seems like Co-op is enabled now. Lost planet is a explosive kickass multiplayer shooter!

Lost planet 2 is still in pre development and far from the beta faze so give it all some time. thing to remember is that capcom DOES listen to the players.

The game isnt in pre-development - you saw footage of the game =P
Its apparently around 30-40% done.

Capcom will clarify Lost Planet 2s status over the coming months.
this game shouldnt be an exclusive coz alot of my friends loved it on their ps3 and damn i had it on 360 up until i had the red ring. I dont wanna buy 360 again just incase the red ring appears again. Please i hope this comes out on ps3 aswell coz i really dont wanna miss out. but either way even if it doesnt im still happy ;)

My only concerns is that the game wa so succesful on Xbox Live, and the engine runs overall much better as well.
That might explain the exclusivity. But who knows, nothing has been 100% confirmed just yet. =)

Unless I want to express my disappointment with capcom where this generation is having really bad ps3 users, the last drop that made the vase overflow was lost planet 2 (exclusive xbox360), then I wonder why you brought out the first episode on ps3? This is an attitude that we do not really deserve (especially because the software capcom console sony sells are good examples figther street and resident evil 5), then I hope that capcom will repent and come back a little on his steps and remember a little too us, and above all I hope it does not do the cowardly to release it followed (after the xbox version) just to give us a bone because we ps3 users are not users of series B

It's not yet been annouced as a 360 exclusive and I doubt it will be unless Microsoft have paid for the rights to the game which i again I doubt.
I guess we will just have to wait and see what is said over the coming months about which platforms it will be on.
If it is on Ps3 I just hope it better than the terrible port that LP1 was, but things have moved on since then and all capcom ps3-360 games look just about and play identicle.
I hope you also go on Play station 3, but I'll not play the game. You know if you have story mode?

Aaah! I really can't wait for this game! I loved the first one!! I played it soo much on PS3, I was in the top 300 in the UK at one point, I was very proud of myself xP I loved it so much I even bought it again on Xbox 360. I need Lost Planet 2 in my life ^__^

he probably means premature development. since its still far from a Beta let alone an alfa state game.
Anyway i am buying it as soon it will hit the store.. hell i will buy it 4x! for some of my friends to!
