Any decent sakura players got tips on how to play well as her? I have been trying for a while now and got most of the moves down but am struggling a bit with combos.

I main Sakura and Im still on her learning curve but Ill share a few things. Shes a Shoto character true but like Gouken you shouldnt raally treat her as one because her style is much more fluid than Ryu/Ken/Akuma. At first glance her fireballs and hurricane kick are poor by comparison since her hadoukens fizzle out and her hurricane links wont topple anyone. Use her fireballs sparingly and to encourage players to jump in, you dont want to be spamming them because eventhough theyre weak theyll build your opponents revenge meter as much as one from Ryu or Ken would. Her standard hurricane kick is more for closing distance and her light one is dragon punch safe when you drop right into a block. Her EX hurricane kick is basically key to throwing out alot of damage because itll pop them in the air and let you follow up primarily with either an ultra, dragon punch (EX can hit 3 times max so fierce is beter since she doesnt twirl) or a dash and grab out of mid-air. When in close I like to fake people out by charging an ex firebal and focus dashing out of it so I can go right into fierce dragon punch as soon as my fireball travels. I cant say Ive made much use out of her Otoshi anti-air but an EX minus the punch wil let you cross the screen in a single bound albeit you slip afterwards - good for getting out of a corner anyway. Her focus attack is good since she can at least avoid a standing mid-range punch or certain kicks with it, leaving you one more shot at absorbing a hit. Ive learned a few 5 hit combos so far and theyre pretty easy to remember so long as you can snap the light punches and kicks quickly. You can turtle pretty well with her since shes all short range attacks outside her specials which are al about closing distance...Id say her biggest flaw is just that shes not that powerful at all so if you want her as your main you have to get comfortable with the fact that she takes a bit longer than average to secure a round.
